I have the utmost respect for anyone who mains the salmon class. They get griefed and targeted by some of the highest tier classes such as bears, raptors, larger fish, and humans with the "fishing" skill. They have to deal with some of the strongest predators and for that salmon mains will always have my respect
Not to mention the fact that they provide massive amounts of xp. They are chock-full of nutrients. With a combination of vulnerability and having exceptional xp potential, it’s no wonder they get bodied so hard. It’s a shame that so many salmon don’t reach their end goal, because, for many, they offer even more xp AFTER they reach the end. At the end of the salmon’s quest line, once they’ve spawned the new players in, the salmon player’s will get a game over. The loot that their corpses provide is even greater, and with the massive amounts of dead salmon in one place, it really offers a fortune. Many builds like the osprey, raccoons, eagles, carrion birds, foxes, and badgers will all swarm the salmon spawn areas once the salmon quest-line is complete for the easy xp. The loot is so plentiful that builds that would normally prey on each other will ignore each other when scavenging around the streams. Even the plant life gain massive doses of xp, as the nutrients of the rotting salmon soak into the soil and get drained by the surrounding plant life. Unfortunately, not many players can resist the temptation to camp the vulnerable salmon, it’s just too easy, gaining them quick and easy xp at the time, but costing them and even greater bounty in the future. Its understandable for bears to camp salmon, they need to gather as much xp as soon as possible to get ready for hibernation, and they don’t typically make as much use of the spawn-feast strat, and birds like eagles and osprey, despite being common attendees to the spawn-feast, are not scavengers by nature(eagles might not turn up a free meal, but it’s definitely too good of a hunter to be classified as a scavenger), so it’s acceptable for them to hunt salmon players before they reach the end. But even scavengers like raccoons will camp salmon routes, raccoons are excellent at snatching fish out of the water. Only the most experienced of players know that waiting would gain them more in the end, but since the newer players and more predatorily builds will all rather kill them, the experienced players have no choice but to join in, lest they get nothing afterwards. Tis a shame. I live in Washington, and, at least according to my parents, going to streams in the fall and watching the salmon spawn is a cultural tradition around here, although I somehow doubt that. As a necrophobiac(i said necroPHOBIAC, not necrophiliac. Key word is PHOBIA. I hate dead things. You could say I’m *deathly* afraid of corpses), I personally don’t find watching a bunch of rotting fish strewn about with bits of them torn off and their eyes pecked out entertaining. For some reason, dead marine animals are the worst for me. I mean, In real life, all corpses scare the hell out of me, the most I can tolerate are dead bugs, and even then they make me squeamish, to the point where I will never crush a bug, I will always move it outside, even when I know that they’re gonna die because of the drastic temperature change. But, I don’t know why, but marine corpses scare me the most. I despise beaches, stay away from them as much as I can(which is hard for an inhabitant if a coastal state), out of fear that I’ll stumble upon dead things. My fear of marine corpses is so strong that it even transfers to games. I’m perfectly fine with corpses in video games, no fear unless it’s particularly gruesome, but for some reason aquatic corpses still scare me. Those stupid dolphin-shark thing corpses of fallout 4 terrify me, forcing me to steer clear of the coast(it gets to the point where I can’t complete the first institute quest where you have to go find that raider synth in the boat because there’s one of those corpses in the way, so I’ve never played through as the institute). In ark, even though I’m capable of killing and harvesting the sea life, I steer clear of them, even when dead and full to the brim of meat, because they gross me out. And, like in fallout, certain parts of the ark ragnarok map I steer clear of due to the large whale corpses dotting the eastern shores. In Skyrim I’m not scared of dead horkers usually, but when unprepared I’ll definitely jump. So yea, don’t like dead things. That rant got off topic, when from commenting on salmon to talking about my phobia of dead things. I apologize to anyone who cares enough to read this far, I easily get off track.
Also, don’t forget the mandatory return to spawn location quest. It sucks because swimming up river streams can be so taxing that players can run out of stamina and die thanks to a lack of energy. Not to mention predators have an easy time catching players currently doing the quest

Panda bear is technically the best as it has evolved a new strategy: Being cute to a completely separate species so they help them even when it goes against their own goals.
Thing is, they're real bad at it. Their main questline is incredibly difficult to complete under those conditions, cat and dog builds do it far better. Even elephants do the human symbiosis strat better, having found pretty solid success on the Indian server in particular for a time. If pandas want to really break into the human symbiosis niche, they'll need to make their main questline far easier.
Yep a large trashcan can be filled with as much as 50kg of high exp food that has been sterilised of all large parasites. In comparison you might need to kill a fully leveled player of a moderately high weight class to get the same amount of exp which is by no means easy without the cheatcode "factory farms"
low level human loot are actually being repurposed as high level loot for bacteria and plant cultures, known as 'compost'. This practice is part of the intelligence expansion on humans which intends to dial back their earth destruction and waste, though it's not widely adopted yet.
I must say though Sloth Bears are no slouch. Tigers only can prey on them if the bear is unaware, which is difficult given the Sloth Bears sense of smell and intelligence regarding Tiger sounds. Tigers tend to back down if the Sloth Bear is aware of the Tiger and faces the Tiger. Sloth Bears are EXTREMELY aggressive. A direct conflict is in favor of the Tiger, but fatal injuries inflicted by Sloth Bears are common.
Bruh. We were stuck on the 0:24 second mark for like 74 hours debating over this "Pick 2" picture. We concluded the best alternative for a hunger games-like scenario: 10 000 rats..ten thousand rats. imagine a very extensive and detailed open world game that reflects the real world and when you load up the game you get to choose your character (animal) and use x amount of evolution points on a skill tree to customise your build (but not too crazy) or just go with one of the already existing species of your animal. Based on play time/achivements/etc. you can unlock other animals/skills/starting evolution points. And there could be lots of different servers like the Mesozoic age server (dinosaur age) or the current world server with key times in history as different servers. TAKE MY MONEY WHOEVER DEVELOPS THIS GAME!!! unfortantly it will probably never happen because to make that kind of game thats not shit you need to add LOTTTS of detail to the world and you must customize and design the controls for every type of animal in the world :( . Edit: Also if your in one server and you last lets say like 100 ingame years or something or reach a certain lvl (lets say u can get exp from killing others or something) you get automatically transported to the next server (chronologically ofc) and you get some extra evolutionary points.

NoName spawning is the word for reproduction in regards to fish. Generally, The females will lay unfertilized eggs and the males will release sperm in the water to fertilize the eggs. This is not true for all fish but it is for salmon
"Spawning" is also a type of reproduction some fish use.
Pandas made the wisest evolution point usage of all time by making themselves appealing to the future apex predator of the world overall, humans. In spite of being needy, poorly adaptable, and slow animals they will be forever protected by the humans because of how cute they look. Actually the sloth bear can held his own against tigers most of the time, even in the short footage you used they are never overmatched.
He said they have losing matchups, and this is true sense there are no records of sloth bears killing tigers, while it is confirmed tigers have eaten sloth bears.

Panda has the special ability "human care" on the recent patch making them near impossible to fully fall out of their meta.
Yes, but the Human Care ability only regenerates them up to 5 hp, so while they will never be completely irrelevant in any meta involving humans, they will never be top-tier, or even mid-tier. Poor panda mains :(
@@Icysnowman256 yeah, pretty true but being able to survive anything at 1 hp albeit being quite limited is still pretty op. Hence why "human care" is one of the most sought after skills in the meta as it has incredibly hard meeting requirements and can't be obtained through the normal skill tree.

I have the utmost respect for anyone who mains the salmon class. They get griefed and targeted by some of the highest tier classes such as bears, raptors, larger fish, and humans with the "fishing" skill. They have to deal with some of the strongest predators and for that salmon mains will always have my respect
Also, humans have been using the AOE trap "pesticides", which severely debuffs salmon spawn rates.
It ain't easy bein' tasty

Panda bear is technically the best as it has evolved a new strategy: Being cute to a completely separate species so they help them even when it goes against their own goals.
Thing is, they're real bad at it. Their main questline is incredibly difficult to complete under those conditions, cat and dog builds do it far better. Even elephants do the human symbiosis strat better, having found pretty solid success on the Indian server in particular for a time. If pandas want to really break into the human symbiosis niche, they'll need to make their main questline far easier.
@@EmpressGaruda It doesn't help that they only have a "respawn rate" of about 50%, and they'd rather XP farm than complete the main quest
But they are expensive as fuck

In comparison you might need to kill a fully leveled player of a moderately high weight class to get the same amount of exp which is by no means easy without the cheatcode "factory farms"
low level human loot are actually being repurposed as high level loot for bacteria and plant cultures, known as 'compost'. This practice is part of the intelligence expansion on humans which intends to dial back their earth destruction and waste, though it's not widely adopted yet.

Tigers tend to back down if the Sloth Bear is aware of the Tiger and faces the Tiger. Sloth Bears are EXTREMELY aggressive. A direct conflict is in favor of the Tiger, but fatal injuries inflicted by Sloth Bears are common.

imagine a very extensive and detailed open world game that reflects the real world and when you load up the game you get to choose your character (animal) and use x amount of evolution points on a skill tree to customise your build (but not too crazy) or just go with one of the already existing species of your animal.
