The Hog Rider is a fast ground troop with medium hit points, low damage, and the ability to jump over enemy Walls. He is unlocked at level 2 Dark Barracks. The Hog Rider (person) is a bare-chested dark-skinned man holding a hammer. He has a Mohawk, wears a brown leather loincloth, a red belt, and a pair of leather sandals, as well as two large golden wristbands and a gold earring. His ride is a large hog, about half his height. It has a brown leather bridle looped around its tusks, which in turn is held by the Hog Rider. Hog Riders prioritize defensive structures above all other targets, and will bypass all other types of enemy buildings and troops while any defenses remain on the battlefield. This is true even if they are under attack by enemy Clan Castle troops, heroes or Skeleton Trap skeletons. Note that like all troops that prioritize defenses, Hog Riders do not consider the Clan Castle to be a defense regardless of whether or not it contains enemy troops, but do consider the defending Grand Warden and the activated Town Hall weapon (if any) to be defensive buildings. Once all defenses are destroyed, Hog Riders become like any other troop with no preferred target; they will attack the nearest building to them regardless of type, and will turn and attack enemy units if they become aware of any nearby and can fight back against them. Let's also remember that for a time pigs were the only players able to find the ultra rare truffle spawn points, and even worked alongside human players to harvest them, though nowadays some humans have figured out how to grant the truffle hunting buff to dog players or just spam digging to find 'em
I remember a story in which a badger player was named Trufflehunter but it was a fictional story so I don't know if badgers could actually hunt truffles. I wouldn't be surprised if they could, being good diggers.

(Why they specced prehensile on a mostly useless appendage I wouldn't know, but I guess maybe down the line they could possibly use that to upgrade the tool use skilltree...)

And in 'Lord of the Flies', a group of human mains get stuck on a normally incessible segment of the map, and encounter an entire faction of pigs who had been playing there for a long time.
Are we just not going to talk about the berserker trait of the hog faction? Being able to set aside injuries to fight a bit longer is extremely powerful for team play, letting one boar main stay and fight and almost always buy enough time for the rest of the party to get away, or prepare an assault (irl, I’m talking about their comically thick blood that makes them take forever to die from wounds that would kill any other animal way quicker)
Humans also have that ability, but it's called 'adrenaline' instead, don't know why they changed the name

The only weakness of a modern day hellpig is a human with a gunbuild. Imagine 30-50 of those packs charging your yard while your Child plays.
It's been discovered that due to their thick fat, high firing AR rifles don't actually do any significant damage. Shotguns do, but they're too slow to reload so you need to work as a geoup, so they basically act as a raid if you go this route.

They're everywhere in the south to the point where the government has put bounties on them. They're hybrids of the Russian hog and native hog species, making them mate quick, pack up, and highly aggressive.
They're been multiple children in the south that have died because a hog bedding spot was near someones backyard.

Where they do decide to attack they almost allays win. A single wild boar can take down a whole pack of dogs in seconds. They can reach sizes of several hundred kilos, 300 pounds is not the biggest, 70 kilos / 140 pounds is common. I have never seen a pack attack, their scouts or one of the Mothers will defend where no other option is available the rest will as agreed upon in their social structure flee to predefined locations. They can run faster than a human and keep it up for several minutes. Their adrenalin allows additionally for them to ignore even fatal damage for minutes and still cause serios damage. They work better in snow and sand than a human, they have "4 wheel drive", they are more stable than Humans, they can traverse inclines impossible for a human. This is one of the most remarkable beings I have ever come across.
