hello brothers still letting the commercials play while I'm at work I hope Google's getting you something for this You two be safe
Charles! You are THE Man! Thank you very much. No doubt it is helping. Beers on me when you visit 😁👍
The Hmong girl smiled at you when you told her to keep the change. Thanks again for showing our Hmong
The Hmong are great people and beautiful families ! ♥️
maybe you are older than me, I'll call you uncle. Thank you for exploring the Hmong community and Hmong people.
They are very generous people and will always welcomed anyone.
Have always been welcomed at every Hmong village we've visited. Beautiful people 🙏
Thank you
Another beautiful video of the Laos country side. The Hmong markets/villages are always fun to watch and your hilarious attempt to communicate with them.
Born and raised here in the US, remember playing that slipper game just like those kids, didn’t know the same game was play in Laos too, lots of fun.
Mate, I have been living in the United States since 1978, and I left Laos in 1975. The last place I live before leaving Laos was Thong Mien, right between where you pee and where Neenee say "it's beautiful." The only place I remember and can recall as a 6 years old in 1978.
Nice video. You guys make a beautiful fun couple and great video together. Enjoy them all very much!
Hard to watch this region at times. It reminds me of my father who passed last year from covid. Talked about this area moving towards Phou Bia mountains where he was born. He went back after 30yrs and I didnt get a chance to visit with him then because I had not care in the world to visit a country I couldnt relate to at the time. I want to go in time when things are safe again. Thanks for sharing.
Great Laos tour blog there Khun Hales. Touring and Combing every village is awesome. Lots of Love there #ToddHales #NeeneeKongmanee
🙏👍👍👍👍 Sabaidee!
nice reportage, my hmong village
Thanks, as always a good one from you.
nice looking town
ONE word my friend beer Lao
I was here when I was 8 yrs old! How I miss it:(. Only my body is living in America, my heart and soul remained in Laos:(. Thanks for the video, Todd.
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it. Many more videos of this area to come 😁
Great
Talking about time capsules.... at 4:30... I played that exact rubber band - slipper throwing game close to 45 years ago, as a small boy in Nan, Thailand (Refugee Camp Nam Yao), in the late 1970s...
Safe travels Todd. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you
When I first came to Laos in 2003, Xaisomboun was closed to foreigners and Lao outside of Xaisomboun needed a special permit to enter. It was called Xaisomboun Special Zone. There was still a bit of argy bargy going on between the Lao government forces and Hmong ethnic group.
Nice
Good. Job
Hi there, you're doing a fantastic job there every day. Try those bamboo shoots they are sweet but bitter.
Watching all commercials in your vlogs....
That really does mean a lot to me. Thank you 🙏
Fr Mrs Xiong
It's nice to see u went to Laos
Hi Mrs Xiong 👋
Thank you 🙏
Beautiful countryside man
Sure is mate 👌
Thanks for sharing beautiful video, people and scenery. Makes me feel very humble especially seeing the children playing so happy.
Todd, the vlogs continue to amaze, the beautiful people of Hmong tell it all in their smiling faces. Harriet and I continue to be mesmorized by the villages of Laos and all its beauty. Well done my friend. Harriet and Jim Richmond, Va.
Looking at those kids playing a simple game, entertaining themselves. With your generosity and gifting food etc Question : are soccer balls expensive to buy in Laos. Thought maybe every so often gift a group of kids a soccer ball ? ( just thinking out a loud) ..Cheers..Kenno
Nice version of the Bob Marley tune.
🤗🙏🏼!
Another good one, there’s so much greeneries, there’s never too much green. Loved it.
Thank you, and take care.
Nice relaxing day, for me, I'm not driving up those roads. Beautiful mountain views. Food looks delicious.
Beautiful mountains and great video as always. Gosh, those bamboo shoots.😋
Great vids as alway bro. How the Covid situation in laos? I heard that many roads lead to Hmong village are closed due to Covid.
Hey Logan.. yeah, a lot of places are back in lockdwn mate. We were lucky we visited these areas when we did.
Uploading a more detailed vid of how the lockdown is progressing in Vientiane Capital tomorrow morning 👍
This the video 📹 I been waiting for so long ....
Thanks 😊
Another happy village - Nice footage as always Todd , 🇦🇺😎👌🙏👍 🍻
Nyob zoo 😁
I miss seeing old videos of ethnic Hmong actually dressing in Hmong clothes instead of Lao or western clothes. Good video though. Love the scenes
That was great thanks! Life looks hard but the locals all look happy enough & that's a good sign eh?
Laos nature so beautiful and it's people so friendly too...i've amazed brother..👍🙏
What a ride it was, xaysomboun is beautiful, startled me a bit when you FF the video, lol.
Ahh yes, glad to find you again after youtube hid you again (second time). Love the green mountains with the fog, such a beautiful place.
Hi Todd. Amazing how the faces light up when you speak a little of their language. I also like how you rarely get change...it goes a long way for them and you get even more smiles. Thanks for another great look around. Cheers. Keep those black and white stills coming.
We used to play that game @3:43 growing up in america was wondering where they got it from, it's like where 2 players stand across each other 10 to 20 feet placing Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh cards on the ground. Both players will attempt to hit the opponents card.
I am surprised you didn't get the canopy for your ute so you don't have to worry about rain getting into back of you car, and you get more storage
Your videos has "open" my eyes on the indepth of Laos. 👍 The only place I visited was Vientiane.. Good work 💪💪
So beautiful
Hi Todd,,excellent indeed! I love Xaysomboun. It's a perfect little city,,and man,,the landscape around there is astounding. The basket weaving girl had the most beautiful eyes. Several good lookers around there. Thanks brother. Stay safe,,Ttyl,,,Marlon
Now how did I know you would love Xaysomboun...? Probably the most beautiful situated city's in Laos. Take care champ
That rubber band game, we use to play as a kid, rubber band is currency, everybody pays like 3 rubber band for a chance to hit the glob of rubber band how ever many u break from the glob u keep.
Thats my people.... one day i will visit
Hi Todd 👍👍👍
Hey mate 👋
I hope you never start carrying a large cooler full of ice coffee cause i enjoy your search of local village shops for the elusive "ice coffee". Lol.
I see Neenee really loves the mountains, that was a whole lot of, wow, cool, and so bad ass, I am guessing it is very awesome and cool, still a lot of rain? Nice size town for the Hmong villagers to live a happy life, lots of goods and services for them all. I enjoyed the video man, mind those damn sharp small turns, Just saying😎👍
Can't believe how beautiful that place is special getting to that border of Xaysomboun it looked like you guys were reaching heaven
Breath taking wasn't it. I can't think of a more beautiful place I have visited
💯🔥💙👍
another great video, brother. you make some amazing videos and the people seem so friendly. Greeting from the lake Chugach mountains camping site of Anchorage, Alaska.
These vlogs just keep getting better & better mate - the BW photos make such a difference too. DEF time to get the drone replaced but oh dear does it cost but if you get another 4 years of top footage then its well worth it. Great stuff Todd.
For sure mate.. keen for a new drone 👍
Really wish I had it this trip 😏
Thanks Toby, take care mate
Good morning Todd.
Two great episodes. We loved to see the wet season and the people living up in the mountains. Hopefully we can get there one day. The jungle is a lot more dense than I thought. Will you be going to the Ho Chi Minh trail?
Hi, Todd. Not so lucky today on your travel during raining day. Drive carefully on raining day at the country roads because they are dirt roads only.
So beautiful in the rain though isn't it!?
Cheers
Just back in
Not enough slope
Would've loved the map on this sweet Hmong village vid. Hope you can show a breakfast vid. What do Hmong eat for morning?
Hi Bill, unfortunately most of the small villages we pass through aren't marked on the map. Even some of the larger villages we stay aren't. It does make it hard to show you exactly where we are then. Sorry mate
All you need for your truck’s water problem is a tarp and 4 magnets. Place the tarp at a slight angle over the bed of the truck to allow the water to run off and secure it with the magnets.
Yep, excellent idea. Wont be caught out next time. Thanks
You’re a good man Todd. I’ve been watching your videos and have noticed that hardly ever accept change back during your purchases. God bless you and Nene on both of your adventures!👏👏👏
Thanks you
Glad you're enjoying the videos 🙏
5TH
you were 2th idiot.
Are any of the tribal villages close to luang prabang or vientiane
Another peeview in the morning then? Hahahahaha you should have had the drone up as those clouds were rolling in. Would have looked cool. I guess a bit too windy eh. Don’t forget to take us with you in the morning Todd. Cheers!!!
The drone was being a proper bitch this trip. Did get some footage, but nothing compared to what I normally would. Time to upgrade😏
I showed my parents this and they started telling me stories about when my siblings and I were growing up in Vinai and Chang Kham lol dam must be hitting a emotional spot inside them. Thanks for video dude.
That's a good thing right? 😁👍 I'm glad you showed them and they shared their stories with you. Many more videos to come from the villages in this area.. enjoy, and thank you 🙏
@@NowinLao yes it's a good thing they were tearing up full of joy that life has improve and continued on in their home country.
🥰😍😍🥰🙂🙃🙂😉😉😊😊
Hmong cricket!
Small tarp tied to your roof racks and the rear bumper
Novocastrians got to stick together
Wish you could of showed us the birds.
I used to play this when I was kid which was for both Cash 💸 and Plastic Stick or Card
Can you show more Khmu and Akha villages?
More Khmu to come during this trip, plan to visit Akha villages on our next 👌
Hello guys I just wondering when did they opening up for visiting
They haven't Rodney, borders are still closed. We're in lockdown now, but this was captured last month where you're allowed to travel the provinces if vaccinated.
Hey Todd, what is the word you use as a greeting sometime? It sounds like Ma-Zool or something like that.
The most common greeting in Laos is Sabaidee..
Nyaw Zhoong is Hmong
Samylar is Khmu.. 😉
@@NowinLao now I see. Thanks.
Saibidee in Thai is “how are you” …..quite similar!
Xaysomboun looks an interesting place, but what's the story regarding the Expressway and all the modern lights? Is there a lot of through heavy traffic and it acts as as town bypass?
Not much through traffic at all Peter. Most of the traffic in the area is from mining. It's only been a province since 2013, and a lot of money has been invested in the area from mining. Before 2013, it was a special militarized zone, and very few outsiders were allowed to travel here. I was very surprised by the development here also.
its a wonder more dont use the rivers for hydro power just for domestic
Most shops should have those silver tarps as they are often needed….could just throw a tarp over the back and let water runoff….over buy a couple red bricks for in front and drive up on em…
Two great ideas champ. Wont get caught out again 👍
9:51 Pickled Bamboo... In Thailand they call it "Nor mi dong"... hahahahah no B.S.
You don't tell us where is the village?
what you want todd is a truckman back
Why not just cover the cab/tray with a tarp? Can never have too many tarps.
That's too easy 😐🙄
🎠👍🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳💁📹
Are they eat civet cat too
You have to learn Lao😅
Yes
