Who Wants to Rent Our Riverside House in Laos.. $150/month
We leave Muang Fuang early and make our way towards the Mekong and the Sangthong district to our house in the quiet riverside village of Kokhea. So may things we wanted to do with house but unfortunately, life gets in the way and it's just sitting there empty, going to waste. We could get more for it but we're not out to make money from it, we just want somebody to be there, live in it and stop the undergrowth from taking over at a minimum price. Here's your opportunity to escape the rat race and live a more simpler way of life in this picturesque village alongside the Mekong only 50 minutes from the capital.. Vientiane! Hi Todd, I forgot to ask before, are there buses to Vientiane ?
Just my suggestions. 1. Put a simple goat proof fence around the property and let someone from the village garden it in exchange for looking after the property. 2. Do not take the vegetation off the riverbank. The Mekong will eventually go where it wants to go but don't make it easier. 3. It may be suitable for a someone who is working through the internet. Is there an internet cable available? 4. Fixup one room/area upstairs and one downstairs to 'move in' quality as an example of what a renter will get. 5. Fence and put in good quality fruit trees. I agree with you about Neenee's footwear.
I've watched a lot of 'life-changing' videos, but this one actually changed my life.

One thing I noticed about SE asia is the very loud music , I am not being negative but living in a place thats cheap but no peace would be hard.
The fact the House is not far from Vientiane makes attractive along with the stunning views. If only we had a little money to spare. We will share this info with some friends. Great Video.

Watch your head Todd. 🤕 😂 The rental is in a good location and it's cheap. Definitely a good place for an newbie/ or would be ex-pat to rent. It shouldn't be that difficult to keep the yard tidy if you have a ride on mower, and a brush cutter/ trimmer. The house has got a lot of potential, if the roof was made into a deck it would be perfect over looking the river. Wish you good luck. / Al

Todd, no need to bulldoze property again. Just rent or get somebody to use a field and brush mower. A lot, cheaper and you won’t have soil erosion. One viewer suggested a goat if it’s fenced in. Grab a goat downtown for cheap price. Awesome deal you are offering on the mighty Mekong delta! 👍🏻

i would rent it in a heartbeat and fix it up for you. build small cabin down by the river. have a nice garden. only cant leave usa just yet cause my boy still to young. in 1 year i can leave for asia

Lol Hi Todd,,i love my niece,,lol ❤❤❤❤ shes a head dancer like her Uncle..its just that she can dance any way she want. Ive always loved the river house,,if my situation was different than it is,,id take you up on that in a heartbeat. Id like to put a 6 ft high chainlink fence up to stop the dumpers. I even have the ability to make the changes you need to the house for your retirement. At the very least paint. Maybe find some locals interested in growing crops and go shares with them. Id have to sneak in about 10 lbs of "Bodacious " corn seed,,maybe some "Peachs & Cream " seed,,Bodacious is my very favorite. Once ,,one of my Uncles and i ate 15 ears of Bodacious corn in a sitting,,for supper,,but nothing else. You've got me fired up for a dream that isnt possible now,,because there is no way i could move my 89 year old Pops that far away,,not that he wouldnt want to,,like they say,,the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak! Now ive got this puppy too,,the 1st time i saw him 3 weeks ago he weighed about 7 kilos ,,now hes up to 16 or 17 kilos growing super fast and gonna be huge. He'll be my road warrior like my last dog,,he loves to ride. I wonder how tough it would be to put a permanent dock in down by the river? Lol oh well,,,like the Allman brothers sang,,, " dreams ,,im never gonna see,,dreams to remember " That would ,indeed,be the perfect Lao home for me. 😂😅,,just an idea,,if alot of farangs are interested,,id start at 300 or even 350,,,you can always come down! That is an incredible property with alot of potential. For me though, it’s only worth the time if I owned it.
I am sure someone somewhere wants to rent and put a little money into it to fix it up but I think they would want a 5-10 year + lease.

Price for 150/ month is too low in this economic crisis, but how kind the owner is.
Put in Starlink with a VPN, and some crazy American could work there doing Customer Service over a Voip until he retired in 10 years. Would need a deep freeze for the monthly trips to the grocery store for Western food. Still shooting for the fiance' visa but something to keep in mind.
