I lived and worked in Siem Reap for about 5 years. Siem Reap is one of my most favorite places within S.E Asia. I hope to visit again someday. That apartment looks very spacious and comfortable. Enjoy your stay.

Amazing, Kelly. I've been going thru IPS as well and that's a great find for only $300. Hope I can find something a bit smaller than that though. I'd spend too much time cleaning it! But you found yourself a really nice place at a great price. And only a 6 month lease? Awesome!

Just a 5 min. walk to a large wet matket. If you need western market, you will need transpo. probably about 30 min walk to the large western market.

Horrible furniture though. I would get rid the sofa set up and replace the main bed as well . Buy something comfortable.

I agree. Furniture can be horrible here, but, it will last for 500 years or more.

I just LOVE the ice cream that they make in front of you on the street. It is the best ice cream I have ever had!! Our hotel in Siem Reap was $20/night. I also like the Red Piano restaurant--it has great steaks.

Interesting, would love a drone’s eye view of the area. As an aside, at 72 I had a lucky epiphany when my eyes saw stairs as value added rather than value detracted.

Good questions. Depending on the time of year, the utilities will change. Last month (April) was hot as h3ll. if I never used the A/C my electric bill would be about $30. If I had them on 24/7 (I've known people) it would be $250 and up.
Not many dryers in Cambodia. Washers yes. We hang our clothes on hangers, hang them outside and within an hour or two, they dry, and already hung up !!

Hi Kelly, did you move there in the meantime? Looks great to me with all the greenery around. I'm a farm kid so I would need that. Perhaps I end up in SR too one day....and ask you for advice then. 300 plus is affordable and reasonable, isn't it?
Yes and yes. I liked this place very much so I rented it. $300 is a good price. It was listed at $330 but I got a deal.
The place is only 5 years old. If it was like 15, it would probably be a bit cheaper.

It is very safe and quiet. Can't even hear the main road unless a moto goes by without a muffler.

For the life of me, I cannot understand why they cannot build a wall/partition around the shower so the whole bathroom does not get wet when showering. I actually know somebody in Thailand who slipped on the wet floor, hit his head, and died.
Yes, it is what it is. That's why we call it a typical Khmer bathroom.
