The timing was bad. And honestly, she should have seen it coming. Especially with how they were treating her BEFORE they got married. Plus, all the rumors that start about her wedding day. I almost wonder if it was a reminder of the Abdication? She’s a divorced American and being of mixed decent; it threw them off. She wasn’t their standard.
She shouldn’t have been at all surprised they were going to make her the bad guy. I hope their marriage will endure because they seem really relaxed and happy now, but I feel bad that Harry and William seem at odds with each other too. Time will tell how it’s going to be.

Am I the only one who remembers the nasty headlines about "Waity Katy" and the "Duchess of Pork"? How Kate was stalked through the streets and had insulting ads about her on buses, how they posted her topless pictures on the cover of a magazine or how they print her wardrobe malfunctions on half a newspaper page?
I don't mean to excuse the media treatment of Meghan but let's not pretend that she and Diana were the only ones in the BRF to get slandered by the media, they were simply the ones who gave the more drastic response but the media will always find something to attack almost every consort with. For Philip it was his nationality, for Diana it was her personality and marital drama, for Fergie it was her weight and infidelity, for Kate it was being perceived as William's back-up plan and for Meghan it's her race and influencer lifestyle.

Glad to hear this story from another perspective. Even in the U.S. press, it seems to me, Megan has been portrayed as a villain. To me, those royals have had some less than optimal lives: Princess Margaret, Prince Andrew, Fergie, Diana, and even Prince Charles. To me, it is a young family trying to make a good decision to place themselves in positions to live the lives they want. Let them go, wish them well, and get on with it. No one should have to be polite with racism, no one, and that includes Megan Markle.

Meghan and harry have the right to do this Especially considering little archie, i think the toxic treatment made them shelter archie from the media in UK, they had no issues with him being infront of cameras during their trip in south africa. That in itself spoke volumes.
