      - Archie is the Great Grandchild of the reigning monarch. His father is a Prince of the Realm but is not the heir to the throne.
His mother is a foreign commoner with no titles or kingdom of her own to pass on. Great Grandchildren not in direct line do not receive automatic titles at birth but Archie was offered the Earl of Dunbarton title by HMTQ. Meg said no. I guess it wasn't good enough, she expects her son to have the same status as the Cambridge children. That will never be.
When Charles becomes King, Archie will become a Prince at that time because he will be the Grandson of the Reigning monarch. But he will never be the Prince of Wales, he will just be Prince Archie Mountbatten-Windor. When he has his own children they will not have any senior Royal titles, they might be Ladies or Viscounts, UNLESS he marries someone with senior titles of their own to pass down. Agreed. It will be a sad day when this show goes back to its loud over-produced studio audience format. I actually found Colbert's show kind of obnoxious and annoying in its original format and would usually avoid watching it, but since he has taken to doing these more personal, home-made feeling shows I find myself watching him regularly again. I was also getting tired of the constant Trump impersonations so I am glad that is mostly over with. I just think the jokes have to be more funny when there is no studio audience laughter to tell you its funny. I hate being told when to laugh, which is why I can't stand shows like Big Bang Theory. Character does. The RF can keep thier titles, but I'm not sure how long that antiquated system will last. The next generation will decide, and I must say, it's not looking good. You'll have to live with that. At least he's not receiving taxpayers money. Andrew on the other hand, is not only known for his preference for young girls , but lived a lavish lifestyle by profiting from his title, until he was forced to step back from Royal duties.
