From what I understand, the royal family is a bit like a brand. Their popularity IS their power. And just like in, say, a boy band, if the most popular members leave then the brand suffers as a whole.

And that continues today. While Mexican refers to someone being from Mexico as opposed to Indians, Chinese, Japanese, African, or Icelandic; White refers to someone with pale skin as opposed to Blacks, who have skin that is dark and colored. Thus to say that Jesus wasn't white is to imply that he was Black. But depending on what recreation of Jesus's face is the most accurate, and what skin tone is considered to be black, Jesus falls into the White category.
This might just be my bias, but the threshold of what is considered to be black v.s. mixed appears to be getting lighter, with some people considering anybody with even a single person in their genealogy originating from Africa, India, or even some places just south of the U.S. as being black. Whereas it seems to me there was a time when Trevor Noah's skin tone was pretty much the lightest one could be to be considered African American, while nobody could call themselves Black before releasing their first album (although some lee way could be given on the whole skin thing if you had enough street cred.)

Even during impeachment, both Nixon and Clinton continued doing their jobs and worked with both democrats and republicans to pass important legislation. Hopefully, we'll never have another president like this again, but yes, just in case I think some new laws should be written. For starters, it should be a requirement not an unwritten rule that they all release their taxes as part of the vetting process and security clearance should be required before anyone becomes the actual democratic or republican candidate.
