MY HAND SIZE FOR REFERENCE
9 1/4 " Wide from side of index finger to side of pinky finger
8" Tall from bottom of palm to top of middle finger
11" Closed Fist Circumference - Sport
I heard Margarito coming out with his own gloves I heard they're pretty solid.
Should be called “Gloves of Stone”
@@csquaredboxing hehe
Lol that took me a minute. I was about to try to look up his gloves like a dumbass.
Hahahahahaha made my day
KILLERRR JOKE BOYLOLL
So a "boil and bite" glove. Kudos to the guy that came up with the design. It sounds like the technology will be a game changer.
Yes, essentially and I salute ONX for going beyond and really trying to innovate with boxing gloves.
You should watch the joe rogan podcast he was talking to the creator of the gloves
Trevor Wittman designed them
great gloves and a greater coach, cant wait to get my hands on a pair
Shoutout to Trevor mfuckin wittman
He just brought home 2 UFC championship belts and one more when gatheje knocks out chandler
Trevor Whitman said that that second Velcro strap is supposed to pull the thumb in closer. I saw you didn't have that Velcro strap on tight and that's why you feel that problem with the thumb
Its on the 1st before the main velcro he pulled it
@@RORYPRAYANA you have to pull it super tight to bring the thumb in. I own these gloves too
after all this time how do you feel about the gloves? i really want to get a pair but ive been trying to see how they hold up for people, if you could provide a little background on your experience with them id definitely appreciate it. also how often do you train and what do you practice? btw i saw on OnxSports instagram not too long ago that they should have something big coming soon and they had a picture of usman with some hybrid mma gloves
@@SlyRyFry they feel good and perform well. You're not suppose to wear hand wraps with these but I still do. But you only have enough room for a light wrap with no knuckle guard
@@wingoreviewsboxingandmma3667 Yeah, you just don't feel safe without wraps am I right? Lol that mentality has been permanently built-in.
Thanks alot for the review definitely want to get a pair. Great channel btw👍👌
Thanks appreciate the support!
Definitely love those 🥊
Carlo, hope all is well. Another great video. Very direct question: if you had $350 dollars (shipping included) would you buy these gloves or something else (Winning and Fly excluded)?
Great review
thanks
Good review man, do you think you could one day check out and review their other glove, the ONX Apex gloves, thanks man keep up the good work and reviews.
Looking at getting those hopefully soon
Hell yea sounds good, I just put in my order for some today, I’ll let you know my feedback on them.
Nice review. I just subscribed to your channel.
Thanks, appreciate the support!
Awesome review as always 🤙🏻
Thanks again friend!
Love the review if u have to choose between this and winning in sparring which one u ll choose
Thanks, thats a hard choice, I'd probably say Winning just because the outer padding is a little less dense and it doesnt have as many seems and stitches as the ONX, so less probability of scratching/ cutting face.
@@csquaredboxing I'm an MMA fighter and I'm torn between the Onx gloves and the winning. How do the winning gloves feel with no hand wrap??
I have a wrist injury from years ago. Sounds like this exactly what I need. After a year of use how are they holding up? Thanks for another great review
Same boat! Partially torn ligament and cartilage on my right hand. These are not cheap but are the last set of gloves I’ve ever needed! Oh and No hand wrapping needed! 🥊 Get a pair!
@@firstlast2762 bro all gloves break down just like running shoes
Great review , just subscribed 👍🏼, quick questions around these gloves, the Velcro’s are out of stock, would the lace ups of these gloves be ok with lace N loop ? Thanks
Steve Aarons thanks! And looking at the design of the lace up versions the lace n loops should work perfectly fine as it wraps around the wrist and won’t inhibit the performance of the gloves.
Hey Carlo, do they ship worldwide? Would you prefer onx x factor or Hayabusa T3 LX?
Dream glove
Hi, should you use hand wraps inside? If yes should you heat mold them wearing hand wraps? looks like great gloves, are those gloves you are using or have you swapped to something else? I would love to see your review of their ELITE ULTRALIGHT HEADGEAR:) Big thanks for your work!
Ok I just got to the point you mention that hand wraps are not necessary;)
Bought these gloves to ship in August or September. Did you use on heavy bag without hand wraps? Love the idea of no wraps but worried about my hands obviously.
Yeah I used them without wraps which is nice for convenience. The hand compartment is snug enough to where you don’t need wraps
Hey dude great vid!
I just bought new gloves, the padding is way too dense
Do you think I can use these gloves both for bag and sparring? If no pls explain why cause I'm a beginner at gloves. Thank you
Thanks yeah you can use for sparring, padding is balanced and firm
Sounds like a top 10 Glove, what's up?
What you think is better between Cleto Reyes or Onx ?
how do you rate these gloves today vs Fly, 1v1, Winning?
Damn these are SICK
🥊
How does the strapping system match up with Rival's wrist lock 2 system v strap on all of Rival's top end velcro gloves?
Its better IMO, mainly because the strap goes through both the palm and backside of the hand. Also, they palm side is much more rigid, so it doesnt allow much flex for your wrist.
@@csquaredboxing Cool. Is it difficult to strap up the two straps once you have one glove on? Also do you like it better with or without hand wraps? Will the support and tech of this glove put an end to hand wraps?
The top strap was at first, but once you get the grip down its fairly easy to strap on. I like the gloves better without wraps because the gloves are compact and the interior liner was made to accomodate hands without wraps.
These have full wrist and hand support no need to pinch your gloves or anything no need for wraps
do you know how to strap up the second pair of gloves effectively? find the x strap very difficult to strap by yourself
I pull it slightly first (but leave part of it hanging so I can regrip it), then do the main strap, and then I pull the second strap tight
Hey Carlo, what would be your favourite pair of gloves to date?
I'm a amateur fighter and I have a few favorites
@@treroney4720 what are your faves?
@@tacorevenge87 strictly for kickboxing and boxing I really like Hayabusa. Especially their Glory gloves for the heavy bag. Rival and Fairtex are awesome as well. But imo the winning and/or onx the only gloves you'll ever need. I've had several major/minor hand injuries and the winning gloves never damage my hands. You should ask yourself is it worth it tho. I love fighting/training and I'm turning pro as soon as I finish school. If you aren't gonna train for an extended period of time, the gloves aren't worth it. The only difference between them and the Onx is that the Onx ones is that you don't have to wear hand wrap. Honestly, as soon as they make an MMA glove the UFC or another organization will trademark it immediately. I as well as most UFC fighters think the current glove sucks!
Hey, Carlo. I noticed you didn't choose to do a weigh-in on these gloves this video, and I was curious.. Do these gloves run low or high on oz by chance? Thanks! :]
Higher than advertised by half an ounce
@@csquaredboxing Thanks much man 😁 I appreciate it!
mine were about .01 ounces over 16 ounces
money not being an issue, how good are these for knuckle issues? the wrist lock looks phenomenal
Good for knuckles
Hey, so I have minor wrist and knuckle issues from using my Ringside gloves, would you recommend these or Reyes?
Definitely these
I had a wrist injury and i never got reyes due to their lack of protection
Hey man, I’m looking at buying these gloves but I’m unsure of sizing. I weigh 60kg. Will the 16 oz be to big for my hand ?
16 will be a perfect fit
After seeing the new gloves and looking back at these I know immediately why the UFC didn’t want these gloves. These are way thicker/more padded meanwhile the new gloves got even lighter, the UFC wants more finishes lol. Shame about the eye pokes but it’s clear what they want out of the gloves.
What size are these
Cant help but see Rival on these gloves.
There are some similarities, which is bound to happen as companies try to advance the glove technology.
That strap is a game changer but I like the look of the fight gloves he makes better. But those wrinkles.
I agree the strap system is a cut above the rest as well as the inner foam.
How have these held up over time ?? ive always been curious about how durable that Vylar material hayabusa and onyx use .
Honestly I don’t have these any more so I couldn’t tell you brother sorry
@@csquaredboxing why you don't have them any more?
Maybe because it was all hype and they suck?…
I’m looking to purchase them too but I’m curious why you don’t have them anymore. It didn’t last?
I’ve had mine for about a year and they’ve held up well. Couple of frayed stitchings but that’s just cosmetic. My only issue is that the padding once molded and broken in is too soft for sparring. My knuckles sink through, so I only use them for bag and mit work now.
Aside from that, I like them a lot. Feedback is good, weight distribution feels fantastic, very compact/sleek, making a fist feels natural, and the second strap provides great wrist support if you pull it tight
Nice glove but looks like they've been out of stock for sometime of the velcro version.
Yeah I’ve seen that, hopefully they make more to fulfill the demand
Apparently everytime they restock it sells out quick
@@therockdwarfmockdwarf1476 Just checked the website and now up for pre-order. Unfortunately in the past few months I've already purchased 3 different gloves since then and don't really need any more for a while.
Max REY quick question do they have any 4oz gloves? I’ve looked all over their website and all I’ve found is training MMA gloves
@@therockdwarfmockdwarf1476 I believe those are still a work in progress to mass produce for the general public. For now looks like those are only for pros. Seems like this business is more casual , the owner has a Alot on his plate being a professional trainer and running a gym.
Mine just arrived today after 3 months: could hardly get my hands in the 18oz, I’m disappointed. Hayabusa t3 has a better wrist lock. Plus the foam ends before your finger tips. My right hand went numb after 3 minutes
Sorry to hear that
Just got mine 16 oz, I have a large size hand but no problems with size , but they are stiff out of the box. After heat molding my first impression on the 120LB heavy wasn't that great, I felt the foam on the interior of the glove is a bit too firm with some knuckle soreness, also seems like the straps along the back of the hand don't really tight down enough to make it feel like you're wearing hand wraps. Ironically the glove felt a little better with some thin wraps, helped fill in the gaps on the side of the hand. Going to heat mold again and give it another try to see if any better.
@@maxrey4055 so what’s the update on the gloves?… like or not?
@@rizzay1 After several heat moldings and breaking them in the foam did soften up and feels good on the knuckles but still a bit too much space around the hand, the straps can't really tighten enough to get a "hand wrap" feel. It all comes down to preference because they are very good gloves but since I Kick Box I prefer a larger glove for defensive purposes and also prefer to use hand wraps as long as the glove allows me to make good first. For MMA fighters these would be great for sparring because they give you all the protection of boxing glove but are slimmer in profile and have a short cuff so they feel closer to MMA gloves and they are also very easy to open and close your hand for gripping arms and grappling.
So why did this not make it to your top 10?
Why wasnt the onx glove within the top 10? I have the onx velcro and apart from my fly gloves they are excellent if not best. All black for business the desigsn quite bland i prefer a white glove myself but terms of use and ticking all the boxes there outstanding.
@@josefgritzel7923 I'm struggling to really like mine due to the fit. Very snug and tight on the wrist up to the base of the hand but too much space on the side of the hand. I have the 16 oz and my hand is large to xl large hand.
Im thinking these for bag work only and new sporting for everything else.
They are great for bag work and New Sporting make quality gear as well.
Brother...how are the gloves after putting in work with these?
Hey brotha! they are very good gloves, some of the stitching ends have come loose which I ended up cutting/ burning off. Other than that, the thumb was a little tight at first but has broken in. Overall probably the best glove for wrist support and a nice memory foam hand compartment
csquaredboxing knuckleprotection still good?
You mould with just bare hands or with wraps on? Since I always have wraps on.
You can do either way, just depends on your comfort level. I did without wraps as it was intended to be used without wraps.
Garcia boxing glove review soon? A Keith Thurman post sparked this question.
Adonis Garcia?
csquaredboxing yes
Are these worth the extra $ over Hayabusa’s Italian leather T3
No, unless you have really bad wrists
@@csquaredboxing Thanks!
do they feel similar to the Hayabusa Tokushus?
Not really, they feel different, both in the inside liner and just the structure of the glove.
Are these the most protective gloves you’ve used?
Yes, overall probably the most protective because of the structure of the glove really locks your hand and wrist into place
csquaredboxing how is the knuckle area compared to winning and other gloves
kingadonis money feels completely different than winning, uses more of a soft memory foam that forms/ sinks into your knuckles once broken in
csquaredboxing what are the best 12oz or 10 oz boxing gloves for bag and mitts?
I hit like Hercules but have the hands of an 11yr old girl lol so I deal wit consistent bruising n shit. Ordered some winnings but them bad boys take forever so I bought some onyx gloves for the meantime and now I'm like damn...I don't even need winnings lol. But I'm still excited for my winnings to come in hopefully sometime this decade🙃
nice!
How are the onx gloves compared to the winnings?
@@donnyn6838 they still haven't arrived. Ordered them bitches in January🥴
@@luc_dogg what size of ONX did you get? Do they fit well and protect your knuckles ? I have the same issue but my winning with Velcro doesn’t really fit my hands to offer enough supports.
@@dyws129a I got size 16. They fit great because the extra strap on top. The knuckle protection is great if u do like recommended and mold the inside with a blow dryer
Heard they absorb more sweat than others, and can get smelly any truth to that?
I don’t find this to be the case, but I also dry my gloves out after I use them and also use deodorizer
@@csquaredboxing oh ok read in another video, whats best way to dry out you use one of thise title dryers or open air
Either way, I just do open air, its free :)
@Csquaredboxing are you a raiders fan?
No
These or hayabusa T3 Lx?
Hayabusa
would you prefer onyx or winning gloves?
Winning
How would you compare these to winnings?
Completely different type of glove
@@csquaredboxing would you say they are better? Maybe a future a comparison video. I haven't seen one come out yet
It has an internal glove pinching mechanism
👍🏼
Would you recomend these for sparring? How dense is the padding?
Yeah they are good for sparring, padding isnt too dense, firm for bag work but has flexibility
These or cleto Reyes ,?
Depends, 2 different kinds of gloves, what are you looking for in terms of performance?
Trevor GOATTman gloves
👍🏼🥊
Muay Thai friendly?
No
i want a pair of theses bad but 300 bucks is alot!
You gotta pay to play
you get half off your first purchase, also you can do installations (which I recommend against financially its a horrible habit) but keep in mind Trevor Whitman made these our of top tier engineering and materials. They're cheaper than they should be.
@@thortrouble2311 how do you get half off your first purchase?
@@csquaredboxing it popped up for me when i just opened the website
@@thortrouble2311 all i see is a buy a glove and get apparel 50% off
$300 is a little pricey?
It is, but they are some really nice gloves in terms of support and feel.
@@csquaredboxing okay 😁
Please try a pair of PUNCH EQUIPMENT BLACK DIAMOND MUAY THAI GLOVES ! There the best all purpose gloves i have ever put on. I bought a pair they were $150 Australian dollars. There a Australian company. They make some awesome gloves!

@@csquaredboxing thanks for the reply
fck me. Its monthly payment LOL first time I've heard.
I love the feature of that glove, wish I have one but man, monthly payment is too much lol.
Yup or $300 plus
@@csquaredboxing what other glove would you consider as the next best to this ONX gloves?
these are andrew tates personal favorite glove that he uses in every workout
Juz wish i can afford it
Its pricey, just save up and get yourself a pair.
@@csquaredboxing thanks man
They have payment plans
its great if you can afford something like this but any pair of gloves and some hand wraps can get the job done and if you dont got that around just take it light and focus on technique you can get a lot done without fancy gloves, although im sure theyre super nice and do their job very well
recent batch of the gloves were apparently made in China. or lots of the materials were sourced from China?
I’m not sure I don’t have a recent pair of their gloves
Did they have a made in China label ?
hey anyperson want this connect with me i have many i mean my bussiness i make this i want sale
How much do they cost
