    1:42 the cammer is approaching that roundabout as if he isn't going to stop. I say this because he seems to make little effort to slow down until very late, stopping across the line proves this, had he have slowed earlier he could have accounted for the truck being there and stopped sooner and made this a none issue. The truck also entered as if he wasn't prepared to stop, however, he was fine to enter the roundabout at that point and had he taken it properly, would not have impeded on the cam car. Both drivers are in the wrong but more so the cammer. While it is fine to enter a roundabout without stopping, in a situation like this, were it is not possible to know what would be coming from the left until very late, slowing early on the approach and being prepared to stop is the best option. Just my opinion.

      You must be trolling surely ! Why would the cammer come to a complete stop ? Cammer has great vision of anything he has to give way to (from the right), why would he stop ? Let's even say for argument sake that the truck has priority, he's already stated that he can't see what's coming so should stop anyway, the fact that he doesn't have priority is twice the reason he should stop. I get that it's your opinion but the logic of it baffles me !

  • @ChrisKeelingTri
    @ChrisKeelingTri Před rokem +12

    The car @7:50 isn't necessarily at fault. Its not undertaking to simply maintain your speed and pass a car on the outside lane. It's only undertaking if you explicitly move into the inside lane in order to pass, and then move back into the outside lane. Passing without going all the way round the outside is actually recommended by Police and highway code as it avoids 'unnecessary maneuvers'. The car may have undertaken - but not clear for this clip...

    Using a vehicle to deliberately ram someone off the road should get that bus driver banned for life and a few months behind bars. He'll never work again.
    This thing about large vehicles and blind spots is true to some degree but then nearly every vehicle on the road has blind spots somewhere . The biggest blind spot is usually the muppet behind the steering wheel. The rule i was always taught was "if you cant see their mirrors, they cant see you." In 30 years of driving i've had one close call with a truck in snow and it was beyond the control of either of us. We were in very slow moving traffic doing less than 10mph side by side down a hill. The trailer started to slide sideways as the driver braked and i had to move across into the oncoming lane to avoid the trailer. fortunately nothing was coming the other way.

They are painted on, so that long vehicles don't ground themselves, BUT wazzocks like this will take the lazy way out and not go around the thing. As for fault, let's say that I would NOT have sounded my horn in that situation; it was a naughty move, but collision easily avoided. Brake, call him any obscenity one cares to, but horn blasting isn't ever going to get them repenting in sackcloth and ashes; so why bother? Very poor behaviour from both parties in my opinion.
