Come on mate, that was a white knuckle ride that was. I'm looking forward to the Hollywood remake of it.
Weakest clip ever !

I think it was more the fact the fiesta reversed out so quickly they wasn’t paying attention to what’s going on around them.
@@beasty7063 On the contrary. I reverse out quickly when i do know whats happening and slowly when I don't.
I never comment on these videos but I have to thank #18 for being a stellar human being. The world needs more like you, mate.
2:25 #6 for starters the lorry was well out before you even got there. Also it's a foreign driver, just be a bit more considerate, you were delayed by 5 seconds get a grip and chill out.
It wasn't well out. It's an HGV driver's responsibility to anticipate traffic. Getting your nose in front first isn't how it works. If you can't calculate how long it will take your trailer to complete the move without hindering other road users you're in the wrong job.
@@johntate5050sound like you need to chill out as well. Don't forget its a LHD lorry and had a restricted view of traffic from the right. Like i said the 5 seconds of inconvenience wasn't worth the vitriol.
@@christopherwilson8671 The lorry driver certainly wasn't on the roundabout before he saw the car. Truckers would be filling their nappies if a car driver pulled out on them like that.
@@WetLettuce-kc2qm You can blame covid for that. It inflated their egos even more.
I agree with the comment. Chill tf out and stop acting like every little mistake is some kind of personal attack, it's pathetic.
Just because a rural road has a 60 MPH limit, it does NOT automatically mean it's safe to do 6o. In fact, often not. There are more fatalities on rural roads than urban because this misconception.
Nah if you’re talking single track country lanes then yes, obviously. But on every normal 60 road, you can normally do 60 easily without ever even needing to break but people think they’re still driving in cars from the 80s or something and slow down to 40 all the time for no reason
And nobody should be walking on these roads unless it’s an emergency, extremely dangerous and selfish
@@5uper5kill3rzThere are plenty of "normal" roads (i.e. not single-track, country lanes) that are national speed limit and where it is totally inappropriate to be doing 60. Speed limits are not typically set based on the layout of the road, but rather based on potential hazards *around* the road.
This is why a single lane (not single track, I mean one lane in each direction) country road in the middle of nowhere might be a 60 limit (because there are no junctions, pavements, or buildings nearby), while a dual carriageway through a residential area may be a 30.
The road conditions of the country lane might only be suitable for driving at 45-50, but the lack of surrounding hazards means the limit is higher.
The road conditions of the dual carriageway may be suitable for driving at 70, but the surrounding hazards mean the limit is lower.
#18 @Cloudmaker Thank you for stopping and helping. You did a great job. Stay safe out there!
Hey there thank you for showing my footage, I always try to help and in this case I had everything needed to clear the road and didn't want to leave the driver on his own as I've seen what happens to some when shock kicks in after a while, so just needed to know someone was with him just in case. Number 18 is a top man for helping and doing a great job in cleaning up the road. 👍👏👏👏👏
Thank you very much for that, it's greatly appreciated.
All those walkers on the road. From before I was even a teenager, I was told this.
*If you have to walk on the road, then always walk on the side of the road where the traffic is coming to you, from in front of you. Never from behind you.*
Yep and in accordance to the UK Highway Code general guidance rules 1 to 6. Not one brain cell between them.
Mmm personally it’s not always safer. I regularly run up a narrow road without a footpath and on some of the bends I’ve realised it’s considerably safer to be seen by cars 50m behind you than invisible to the ones coming towards you hugging the bushes in case they meet something. And then change over when past said corners.
Surely there's better (safer) places to go for a walk as well. Some people just have zero regard for their own safety.
That is partially true apart from when you say 'Never', you should only do this when it is safe to do so, i.e. not at bends or at any point you cant see the on coming traffic. The cammer may think its a 60mph road but technically its only 60mph when you can drive that speed safely, i.e. no bends, or pedestrians, etc...
Me too - arseholes. Mind you we had public information films. Now people think if they can use a phone they are IT literate - madness. Still if you hit one their stupidity must surely be taken into account. Bet they all have driving licences so should know the highway code.
#7 someone actually using the horn for its intended purpose? Will wonders never cease!?

Ha ha some of these clips are so petty 😆 I get people cutting me up everyday on the roads or someone reversing out of parking space without looking. That's life!!🤷♀
Dude on the bicycle is a menace 😂
Number 7. Absolutely nothing wrong with pedestrians being in that road. Do you only ever drive anywhere? What do you think they should do when there is no footpath? The guidance to walk towards oncoming traffic is just that. Common sense dictates that you walk on the outside of a blind bend so you can be seen sooner. It's a National speed limit road. If you did 60mph around the bend you would be reckless
I agree, however they shouldn't be looking all over the place which is causing them to wander into the road, or walking in groups, which are blocking traffic.
If you're walking on a road, you do it single file, walking towards traffic, and two a brest, ignoring cars, and chatting to your Bessie mates about which ramble you love more.
You walk towards oncoming traffic - end of. You must have a death wish.
@@MattF340 If you exclusively do that, you don't have a mind of your own and the intellect to make good decisions when circumstances require it. Crack on fella. Sometimes it's safer to be on the outside of a bend.
@@mrbadger9920 100% Most of the time walking on the right is the correct thing when there is no footpath but on a blind bend to the right you should absolutely cross to the left you'll be seen by traffic coming towards you.
I travel up and down the road in #18 most days from Buxton to Ashbourne, I can always tell when there has been an accident, there is usually a set of walls missing along a corner
#7 It's just people walking along the side of the road. There are no rules which mean they have to be facing traffic, it's just recommended. That's why you can't always try to do 60 on an NSL road. Just pass them safely, and get on with your day, same as you would horses, or cyclists.
Big up #18 GOOD DUDE
Thank you for that, it is much appreciated.
3:10 Yes, walkers are supposed to walk towards the traffic, for self protection reasons.
Pedestrians have an absolute right to walk in the road and us drivers by law must give 1.5 metres or 2 metres over 50mph when passing them by law. It is recommanded to walk towards oncoming traffic but there are no laws regarding this.
How about we all slow down a tiny bit and drive courteously and look out for vulnerable road users..
It's a SHOULD rather than MUST (Rule 2) likewise they SHOULD be in single file. There's further guidance in Rule 2 "It may be safer to cross the road well before a sharp right-hand bend so that oncoming traffic has a better chance of seeing you. Cross back after the bend." which could apply to the latter walkers, but such things are difficult to judge from a video. In any event, single file is better, facing oncoming traffic is better.
The submitter was fine, just because it is a 60mph speed limit does not mean you should drive at 60mph, and they seemed to be doing a sensible speed as they were easily able to react to the pedestrians.
@@Simple_Slmonjust because there aren’t any direct laws doesn’t mean you shouldn’t do it.
I got told this doing the Duke of Edinburgh award over 20 years ago. The logic is if you walk against the flow of traffic, ie on the right, you have a better chance of seeing any traffic as it approaches.
Lee is right, it’s not law to give pedestrians 2m. Rule 163 is a ‘should’ and provides guidance - rather than in contrast a law that often backs up the MUST rules.
However, ignoring the HwC can still put you in bother, as you can be found to be driving without care etc.
Indeed rule 2 encourages pedestrians to use the right hand side, except right hand bends.
As long as the driver can stop, it’s all good. However,…
There’s common misunderstanding why a pedestrian would want to face oncoming traffic. If you think about it, you’re actually making it more dangerous because the car/lorry must stop in a shorter distance than it can see - the pedestrian closing the gap towards the car - hence doing this on a bend is far more dangerous. But *the benefit outweighs this danger* , because the pedestrian is able to make a ‘sensible judgement’ by seeing the car and getting off the road and onto the highway verge. Most people don’t realise this and walk in the road with great entitlement, and will continue walking or jogging towards a car and close the gap further, whilst unsighted to what’s coming from behind.
Top man HGV driver who helped the scaffolding truck driver that left the road 👏🏻
#2 another example where a driver knows better which lane they want to be in because of some half remembered rule about 12 o'clock rather than reading the road markings. Both the white van and the black car got it wrong as far as I can see,
That’s how I see it too, the middle lane was for the second junction off the roundabout (M3 north).
Both the car and the van should have been in the same lane as the truck started off at for the M3 south.
Yet people keep spouting this rule off like its fact. Just as bad as the 100mph=ban people (hint: its not)
The issue here isn't the driver being in the wrong lane, it's the cammer trying to push him out of that lane and then claiming it was the other way around.
Well done to #18, great work.
Wow that was nearly a multi vehicle pile up in the car park there😂😂😂
The lorry driver that stopped to help that guy, absolute legend 👍😎
6:16,, cammer mentioned about seat belt on child because child didn't have seat belt on,, then next picture shows cammer pulled off pavement..huh.?🤦♂️🤷♂️..presumably waiting for his sprog outside school causing a obstruction..fair point if the child had no seat belt it would get hurt, probably as hurt as the cammer mowing down a child on the pavement as he parks or goes.🤦♂️🤷♂️
Haha I came here for this! Pulled up on the pavement, right before traffic lights and then comments on others....
2:50 yes the road may have a 60mph limit, but you should only drive at a speed where you can stop in the space you can see, also yes pedestrians are encouraged to walk towards traffic, but on a blind bend i know im always walking the more open side with more visibility
I believe the official advice is to walk on the outside of blind bends even if that is with your back to traffic
Allways try never to walk on roads for very obvious reason, I value my life and wouldn't put it in the hands of traffic rushing around like a holes.🤦♂️🤷♂️

Me too, but a supermarket car park is an exception: when you park in reverse you can't put your groceries in your trunk.
@@rschroev yes you can it’s not that difficult
#2 Am I missing something? What was the truck driver doing in the far right lane on entering the roundabout when he wanted to exit via the far left lane?
I thought this too. Now, I know that junction very well and it's not the best laid out roundabout in the world, but to enter in the right hand lane and then cut straight across to the left, seems idiotic.
I am prepared to be corrected, though.
@@neilsimmons5080 I don't know the junction, but I found it on Streetview. (It's M3 Junction 9, approaching from the south-west, i.e. from Easton Lane.) It looks to me as if the cammer was in the correct lane throughout, the white van was in the wrong lane by one lane, and the car the cammer complained about was wrong by _two_ lanes.
The roundabout has five exits: NW (A34), N (M3N), East (A272 for A31), South (M3S) and back round to SW (Easton Lane). Easton Lane has three lanes entering the roundabout, the first dedicated to the first exit (A34), the second to the second (M3N) and the third to the rest. The lorry with the camera started in the third lane, the other two vehicles in the second which _should_ have meant they were heading for the second exit, M3N. After the first exit, they should have been in lane 1, while the cammer was entitled to take lane 2, as he did. After the second exit, they should both have been gone, while he was entitled to be in lane 1, as he was. Whereas they were both still on the roundabout, the van in lane 1 and the car in lane 2!
So the car entered in the dedicated M3N lane, but forced its way in front of the cammer so that it could head for M3S, a full 180 degrees further around the roundabout.
#18 At least one decent human being stopped to check the driver was ok. Everyone else is too busy to help. What a society we have become😢😢😢
2:40 he was well into the road before the poster got there, roundabouts are junctions not race tracks
Lorry driver failed to give way to traffic approaching from the right, cammer has priority, truck driver is a muppet who clearly should not be driving on UK roads.
No he wasn't. You are supposed to anticipate traffic not just drive into a gap if you see one. An HGV driver who doesn't know how long it'd take his trailer to clear that clearly should be driving. It's a left hand drive though so that was the problem. I wish truckers like you would take responsibility and own your mistakes. I bet if I pulled out on your truck like that you wouldn't be congratulating me on my superb driving.
Well into the road my arse!
@@george-ev1dqthe lorry was already in the roundabout and cammer is in the wrong and need to chill and slow down 🙄
Lorry should defo have given priority to the car coming from his right - but the car driver made a quite unnecessary drama of it - no need - no need at all
6.13 Seems to have no consideration for the child's safety whatsoever ...... Maybe the driver should go for a brain scan asap
Well done that man #18 for stopping and helping. Lets hope the driver pays more attention next time because his wagon wasn't that big and judging by the other much larger HGV's passing there is plenty of room to do it safely.
Lunatic walkers, you're supposed to walk on the right against oncoming traffic, so you can see what is coming and make efforts to avoid it, instead of relying on those behind you to not hit you.
On that road there is a lot of blind corners and it's 60mph. Walk facing the traffic and you will be splattered
#18 would benefit from “Yackity Sax” as per Benny Hill Show....
#14 Oddly enough this exact same problem happened in front to me this morning, outside ASDA in my area . Believe it or not, from a female learner driver in a driving instructors car. The idiot teaching her stopped her at the repeaters, so when the drivers who were then allowed to come out from the T-junction were free to go - they got stuck behind her, there is only enough room for about six cars before they block the junction completely - so that instructor really was an arse.
4:20 ,, it shouldn't take the company long to find the driver and either sack him or send him on a course.
That junction is terrible. It's off a dual carriage way, and people speed down in the right hand late, and then cut in at the last moment. There have been multiple accidents in the past.

3:07 country roads often have no pavements, and national speed limit applies, there's not much else apart from driving to conditions and watching out for them.
Generally advised for pedestrians to walk on right, approaching oncoming traffic, but on bends they may switch sides for better visibility and safety.
8:05 typical UK - no one stops to help
oh ok then .. what pray tell can all those people actually do .. other then block the road ... do you suggest everybody stops and pushes the truck out of the field!! .. It may be safer to cross the road well before a sharp right-hand bend so that oncoming traffic has a better chance of seeing you. Cross back after the bend."
@@ArminGrewe Roads are pedestrian rights of way meaning that pedestrians have a right to make their way on them, on any part of them and in any direction.
Unlike for motorists, there is no requirement in law for pedestrians to read, know or obey the Highway Code or even know of its existence. Unlike for motorists, for pedestrians the Highway code is just advice that can be heeded or ignored.
Pedestrians on the carriageway in front of a motor vehicle always have priority and it is the responsibility of the motorist to not hit them and to slow down when passing them leaving a minimum 2m gap.
@@ditch3827 Sure. And yet clever pedestrian read and heed the HC. Because they understand being in the right doesn't help you when you're dead. Or badly injured in a hospital bed.
And what about common sense, you weirdo?
@@ArminGrewe A silly thing to say and a feeble excuse for dangerous and inconsiderate driving.
The responsibility falls squarely on the motorists to avoid hitting pedestrians who have just as much right to use the highway as the motorist, in fact more so as for pedestrians it is a right while motorists are only permitted under licence and on condition that they obey the highway code.
Now stop blaming pedestrians who are doing nothing wrong and just going about their lawful business.
At 30 seconds you missed the understanding that the length of the vehicle needs the extra room so he didn’t sideswipe the first lane that’s why he starts in the third one moves offered to the second one and then when it is past the M3 junction he moves over to the left lane. It’s how you drive a HGV or would you like him to drive over the car instead?
The people on the Nower Road at three minutes are walking on the wrong side of the road. You have to walk towards traffic, not the same direction as traffic.
Wasn't there an EU law about carrying an energency foldable warning triangle for accidents & breakdowns, for situations like this? I would not risked my life clearing that rubble. Always drive with caution! That lot weren't.
I know they say walk facing the traffic, but where i live in Thornhill some of the roads have really Sharpe bends so if you walked facing traffic they would see you when they hit you. really narrow roads national speed limit, some drivers feel the need to do national speed limit.
1:59, car driver never drove in the Netherlands before....
#9 Same as the A4260 into Banbury's Castle Quays something like half a dozen left turn directive arrows and the still do it due to traffic, lack of enforcement with this type of road but also big problem with road planners not doing their job properly as this should be rectified with either enforcement cameras or proper forms of lane deviders when it obvious whats happening.
We have lived near Banbury for 7 years and go into town but nothing ever seems to get done about it, guess thats the state of GB today (2024 and the national and local road networks seem to have a problem with no one knows where the streetlight switches are)
5:07 That is why sticking to the edge is a BAD idea. one mistake by the driver and the cyclist ends up in hospital, or worse. that's why i keep a safe distance from the edge, even if that puts me in the middle of the lane. and if that means they can't overtake, tough! safety is more important, and if i don't care for my own safety, when who will?
It seriously makes me wonder how people pass their tests. I think they either get someone else to sit their test or they have someone within DVLA and are paid to give them a licence as there are so many shocking drivers in the roads. People don’t understand how roundabouts work don’t know how to park, give way, basic high way code and worse of all lane hoggers
3:41 Are you sure that was a left only lane as you didn’t circle the last left only arrow, how can we now be certain.
#2 not sure what his problem is; He showed that location multiple times already, but I just don't see a problem of the other vehicles' choice of lane. Sign says M3, lane says M3, and also as he proceeds in that lane it still says M3
The middle lane was for M3 north only.
@@david1976aful and the lane then only says M3 on the road ...
Be truck driver was in lane 3 and wanted to move to lane 1 and that why he beeped at the car driver for wanting middle lane what a hypocrite truck driver when he was in lane 3 and now didn't want lane 3😅
@@youtube2kwatcher Look at the lane markings. The trucker is 100% right and the white van and the car are wrong, by one and two lanes respectively.
It's M3 Junction 9, approaching from the south-west, i.e. from Easton Lane. The roundabout has five exits: NW (A34), North (M3N), East (A272 for A31), South (M3S) and back round to SW (Easton Lane). Easton Lane has three lanes entering the roundabout, the first dedicated to the first exit (A34), the second to the second (M3N) and the third to the rest. The trucker started in the third lane, the other two vehicles started in the second which should have meant they were heading for the second exit, M3N. After the first exit, they should have been in lane 1, while the cammer was entitled to take lane 2, as he did. After the second exit, they should both have been gone, while he was entitled to be in lane 1, as he was. Whereas in fact they were both still on the roundabout, the van in lane 1 and the car in lane 2!
So the car entered in the dedicated M3N lane, but forced its way in front of the cammer so that it could head for M3S, a full 180 degrees further around the roundabout.

05:49 So why are you parked on the pavement?
#18 Well done lorry driver for stopping but next time think a little more about the old elf and shirly as you should have parked to protect yourself by being past the debris.
#18 Just viewed the last part and thats why.
Yes indeed I usually do but in this instance I didn't want to damage my tyres with that sharp limestone and at first time was of an essence, I had parked close with all beacons lit (4 light roofbar 360's plus front grill LED's and rear LED's too) so was highly visible and if they'd wiped me out they'd have come into contact with a Scania badge. Fully understand where you're coming from and in most cases I do just like you say. All the best.

Breedon drivers are a disgrace.i had an argument with one because I stopped for an ambulance with blues and twos on and he wanted me to shoot out in front of it. No sense of safety at all.
