Cool
lol you're really milking the archive aren't you.

Getting spoiled this week, awesome
Keep them coming thick and fast boys
I am absolutely baffled by the amount of people who choose to refuse to brake and end up contributing to a collision, rather than just being the bigger person and easing off the accelerator
It seems they have time to sound their horn, but not to ease off the accelerator and brake. Baffling
It's astonishing, too many brain dead drivers on the rd nowadays with absolutely shit reaction times.
I don’t think the fact that these are almost always a fisheye lens helps at all. It makes things look a lot further away than they are. The braking distances in many of these look a lot longer than they actually are.
Although one or two could brake sooner.
* Number of people
It’s called being British 😂
Darren's poor mini is target for idiots it seems. Sad to see it take so much abuse :(
Even worse that his knees are the crumple zones in that car
And I bet insurance class it as a write off as it would probably not be worth fixing to them. So would be a pain in the arse to get it fixed
I winced at the first one and nearly cried at the second. Should be a bigger punishment for crashing into classic cars
Was also worried that it got written off... but looked it up and it's still on the road with a fresh MOT 😍
@@Semir0800 Legit made my day. Stunning car that.
The clip of the Yaris tripping up the Range Rover is still the best.
Looked like it wasn't even scratched!
GR Yaris stiffness put to the test, engineers need a raise after that clip haha
Amazes me how many crashes in this video could have been avoided. Having a dash cam doesn’t make you invincible.
istg breaks dont exist
How many of these qualify as a driver blacking out suddenly?
Dashcams dont give you right of way either 😂
I’ve found expecting other drivers to do the stupidest thing possible and giving them extra space has always worked a treat at keeping me out of trouble.
who has right of way? the idiot in a lorry, because they are bigger xD
Me too, it's that car indicating right when I want to pull out but then drives straight on that I don't trust
Reading the road well ahead and reducing speed if something looks amiss has always worked for me. Some of these were obvious to spot and could have been avoided.
Totally right 1135, Let the danger drivers get in front - then you can see what they are doing!
Same here, I always drive like I expect the worse out of every other driver.14 years accident free
Blows my mind that people would rather swerve and cut up people when they miss their exit on a roundabout rather than just driving round again 🤯
I know right, after all it's not like a motorway where you have to go a long way to get back, it's more like 15 extra seconds 🤷♀️
@@fetchstixRHD I have been known to drive round twice in some rare cases where I'm driving somewhere I'm not used to, the roadsigns are none too clear, and I want to make it absolutely sure I'm taking the right exit :D
I'm opposed to violence but I do believe these drivers need to be torn from their vehicles and beaten up.
@@fetchstixRHD it's still pretty stupid on a motorway, obviously people who swerve off motorways can't have made checks for other vehicles, otherwise they'd not have missed the junction. Even if they wasted 2 hours, it's better than ending up dead/disabled/in jail/prosecuted or whatever could happen
@@Stripedbottom me too, but doing it on a mini-roundabout caused a scene.
watching this makes it extremely clear why my driving instructor used to constantly go on about being ready to slow down for people pulling out of side roads. So many of these incidents could have been avoided if the dash cam drivers had been paying full attention to their surroundings
I'm glad I don't drive
ALL of those incidents would have been avoided if the drivers pulling out of side roads had opened their eyes. In many of those cases you are doing nothing more than blaming the victim. Yes, we are all duty (and legally) bound to avoid an accident if possible, and that includes driving with due care and attention ("hazard perception"). But when another driver does something so unutterably stupid as to be utterly unpredictable, then there's only one person to blame, and it's not the dash cam driver
@@ThePhoenix198 Im not saying its not the responsibility of the person pulling out. But accelerating at a hazard and beeping your horn instead of braking makes you no better of a driver than the person who caused the accident in the first place.

6:30 "Was that my fault?" - This is exactly why you shouldn't just let people out when you have priority and there is clearly space for you to move ahead. The Audi should have just waited until Joel gave up trying to let them out.
Exactly, the cause of many near misses and crashes.
I remember writing something very similar on the original video. 100% she played a major role in that crash, how was the Audi meant to see past her ?
Totally agree with it being her fault. From her side of things I bet she was expecting the audi to just take off down the road rather than cut across it. Also sounds like she knew the person so wanted to let them out. Still partly their fault though!
Almost had the same thing happen to me a while back, coming down a long straight 60mph road, someone turning left from a junction on my left, was probably around 15 seconds off her, plenty of time for her to pull out, and the road ahead of me was clear and she started creeping. About 10 seconds off I flashed her out and started slowing down as she was already part way out of the junction, she continued creeping but was now half way out the junction and blocking my lane. 5 seconds away I start really slowing down and flash her again. She just stops dead in her tracks, next thing you know I've had to slam the breaks on and nearly end up with someone in the back of me, luckily they swerved around me and managed to avoid oncoming traffic. Learned my lesson never to let anyone out.
In all honesty, in that situation you don’t attempt that manoeuvre. Go in the forward direction and then turn around wherever safest. Hindsight and all that!
It always confounds me how drivers, look, pause, look then drive straight into you - what compels them to do that?! So many of these prangs should never have happened. Keep safe out there!
12:25 Now that must've been an interesting one for the insurers to deal with
22:08 Video hazard awareness test classic! Who else saw the white car and would have eased up? lol
Yes sir, you could see that coming for 100 yards.
Even Stevie Wonder saw that one coming.
Always a good idea to expect people to crash into you. As soon as i saw it, id be slowing right down.
I feel so bad for the driver at 20:08. Doing everything right and minding their own business when a rogue car just comes up out of the blue and sideswipes them in to the barrier.
yeah there were a few of those with cars minding their own business and getting caught up in the idiocy/ low driving skill/ recklessness of others. I would be so pissed off if I were caught up in any of those situations.
Dude got smashed into oblivion 😂
That’s was probably his enemy
That looked intentional that did
It's within the realms of possibility that sometimes they are deliberately targeted, I mean nobody knows any of these drivers or their private lives. Not that I care
6:39 That is most definitely "your fault". Never stop to let someone out on a main road. You obstruct traffic flow and create a hazard, you obscure the view of the person you think you're helping, and you put them under pressure to go even though they are not sure if the road is clear - because you're obscuring their view.
It was something both my father and my driving instructor drilled into me a long, long time ago: don't ever make decisions for other drivers - because this will happen.
Your last sentence is total correct, and I completely agree. But, The cam driver isn't making the decisions, using the throttle, or anything of the sort for the driver involved in the accident. The operator of the vehicle is to blame here, the cam car only made the other vehicles situation much more difficult by as you said, obscuring her view and also applying pressure to rush the other driver. On a side note, the other vehicle shouldn't be trying to make a U-turn there too. Not only would a driving instructor give you a bollocking for that, and doing so across 3 lanes, but to add to it that she could barely see anything to make the maneuver even remotely safe....
Not only that you encourage people to do stupid things. Rights of way are designed for a reason, deviate from them or encourage others to do so and accident will happen.
I like it how they press the horn twice as fast as they hit the brakes.
I was thinking the same thing. Luckily I've never had a serious accident but on a couple of occasion I came close the last thing I had time to do was hit the horn.
Darren crashed his vintage mini twice?! This just shows how often crashes can happen and how careless people are

I wish we could see/hear the conversations people have after crashes, I can only imagine the arguments!
Some bloke T-boned me on a mini roundabout, my other half went fucking skitz but he was honestly the nicest bloke ever. Rang his insurance up straight away and told them it was his fault. Not all bad people but just the odd few who don't have a clue how to drive and claim it's your fault
I'm surprised there aren't fights or someone drawing a gun
I once had someone crash into me at a roundabout. After about 5 seconds of arguing I could tell she didn't know the rules of the road so I shut up and let her think she was right. We exchanged details and I assume she told the insurers the same she told me as a few weeks later I was found not at fault.

1:57 Nice mirror check and timely indicating plus cruising after impact to minimise the obstruction of the public highway.
This video is a great example of why I don't even like to be a passenger when there's snow and ice on the road. No point driving in those conditions unless it's absolutely necessary. You can drive perfectly and still come undone because some random person doesn't understand how ice works
Even over here in the south of Norway a lot of people forget how to drive in winter after 8 months of no snow or ice. Always chaos the first couple of days.
Three really terrifying ones in a row starting at 5:16. Imagine that happening to you.
I can’t be the only one that tried to move out of the way whilst watching that. It would have been damned scary to see that truck coming at you at that speed.

Very much agree.
I am always very cautious passing a line of stopped cars. You just have to expect someone to switch lanes or allow a cut through.
These days there seems to be more of an emphasis on "speeding", rather than "inappropriate speed". Many people get into the mindset of "I'm within the speed limit so that's fine" despite not being.

I was looking for this comment, 100% agree. Yeah he wasn't supposed to enter round about, but that doesn't give you a free pass to ram them.
The snow clip at 10:54 reminds me of when I was driving too fast in conditions similar to that and nearly rear ending the car in front. The driver of the car in front saved me by noticing my stupidity from a mile off and accelerating out of the way.
You could could see that cars brake lights from a mile off and the cammer didn't slow down at all. Did he not know that it takes a lot longer to stop in icy conditions.

A more gripping 30 mins than you'd find in most action films
Its amazing how many of these accidents could have been avoided if the cammer was as quick on the breaks as they are on the horn 😂
That's for sure
I like this type of comments. Means you have absolutely no idea what are you talking about. Dash cam lenses are so called 'wide angle' lenses to cover much larger area than a normal one. What it means on a video - you think objects there are much further away from the vehicle fitted with a camera. Ergo - driver has much less time to react that you think (if you think at all). Blabbing, that these were avoidable is a complete nonsense. I would agree that some percent of these WERE avoidable but 5% to 10% at the most.
@@novtalath I like these kind of comments - because it shows you've no idea what you're talking about, and you completely miss the point. Moving your foot to the brake is faster than pressing your horn, the other driver looking around, realising it was them you were beeping at, and then if you caught them on a good day, working out they're going to brake. If one is pressing the horn before ones foot is on the break, then defensive driving skills need to be improved. While doing that - in many cases, one might also be more aware when approaching a hazard, and already be slowing down; rather than just gunning it because right of way is had. Breaking then honking reduces the chance of the crash, and at worst, makes the impact less. Exceptions are obviously when NOT so close to the other driver, that they have a chance to react.
For example - 24:56 - the break is applied, then the horn. There's no point at all using the horn, because after slamming into the side of the car, one can be pretty sure they're aware that they're aware they've been hit; and they're not notifying anyone of anything other than their anger.
In caskerbang's defence he said 'how many' of them (not every single one). There were clear and obvious situations where the driver, though not initially at fault, ends up causing an accident when it likely could've been avoided. Some could well be due to the optical illusion you mention caused by the wide-angle lens (they were much closer in reality, I get that) but I could point to a fair few where it looked like the driver getting punked then hit the punker on purpose to prove his / her / their point. Granted we're ready and waiting for an accident when watching these, so are on full alert so it's much easier for us, 'in hindsight' so to speak, to judge who's at fault but if nothing else it proves we must be on high alert at all times - never take your attention away for a split second. Easier said than done but a good lesson.
@@UKMonkey You have read the comment... and understood absolutely nothing. Well done.
Now go back and read AGAIN and this time spend some time THINKING of what have you just read. Then you MIGHT come to a conclusion that what I have wrote actually makes sense. If you still missing the point - then so be it. Not everyone has more brain cells than average person.
I do have a dash cam. You do not see me posting vids because I have some dignity left in me. I do agree that pressing break is faster than using horn yet still some people need that horn otherwise they will continue moving in and definitely cause an incident. You have picked one situation in that vid but miss the bigger picture. As for use of the horn - if some dickhead drives straight in front of you and you have to break and let's say you do use horn - I am sure they don't need to look around on who is using it as they are aware that they are a twat that just not gave way to another vehicle. I would not be surprised if you were one of those that silently use the horn on every possible occasion just not admit to it.
And if you will come up with some rubbish about being an advanced driver - spare it.

3:25 How is that the Audi`s fault?? Why did the BMW stop in the middle of the roundabout?
Exactly my thinking
From the perspective of an insurance company it'll be the Audi because it drove into the rear of the BMW - although realistically its nonsense, in theory the Audi should have given enough space to brake in time, or avoid the obstruction in the road
he just jammed on his brakes for no reason. crash for cash maybe....
Seems to me that the audi emerged too quickly which would've prompted the braking of the BMW
Interesting that the BMW has also stopped in a Keep Clear area.
Lots of lots of folk need to make their new year's resolution to be BETTER people on the roads. But it's hard for a lot of folk to have that level of self-reflection, especially as they are all the best drivers ever.
You can remove "on the roads" and "drivers" and your statement will be even more accurate.
14:35 that's Barrowby Road railway bridge on the A52 in Grantham, one of three in the town that are struck regularly on a monthly basis. Greetings from the Netherlands 🇳🇱.
And I thought we had some bell ends driving here in Australia. Holy crap you have special people on your roads.
“3:22” steve mate bad news..... you was speeding haha
Max, you should change the dot on '3.22' to a : to make it a timestamp for quick access to that part of the video 🙂

@@ISOLATICN1 No problem pal 🙂
15:50 focusing on what’s behind than infront 🤣
... jeepers creepers!.. 😳 the UK car crashes are now almost as severe as those seen in the US... 🤕 (I think now's the time to make it mandatory, that ALL road going vehicles in the UK have front and rear facing dash cams as standard equipment)... excellent compilation dude!.. subbed 👍
11:50 poor Ian got scared of the lorry coming towards him
Peoples late reactions to people pulling out on them is hilarious 😂
Bilbo clip was the funniest, an absolute bilbo ends up on the barrier😂😂
Shaun your driving is diabolical
19:05 LOL two coppers driving erratically in 5 seconds...
What the hell was Harvey W thinking, driving so fast on a road like that in wet conditions? However he takes responsibility for it by uploading the video, probably as an educational reminder to drive to the conditions. So I guess props to him for that
Jaxn so stoned that he thought his horn would make his breaks work
28:45 The tinkle in the background adds a little comic relief
9:23 as a motorcycle rider, this is why you always apply the front brake SMOOTHLY, even in emergency braking, and why you always look 10-15 seconds down the road if you can... kneejerk reaction, grapped full front brake, front tire locks, and out she goes from under you.
Yeah , even worse in the rain! Looked like an old bandit without. Newer bikes are much more forgiving!
