      Yes but they carry fleas and ticks too . They may eat them but they spread them too . They also eat the fruit on the trees and piss and shit in garages and on your roof or balconies . I have this Rife for two years now and love it. It's barrel is 19/and 3/4 " long with no choke.
    The longer 24" version is more suitable for bird hunting and has an invector choke.
    The 410 Henry is based on the 45/70 platform which I also have as well as a 30/30 and recently a 410 Axe! Side by side the 410 & 45/70 are hard to tell apart.
    It's prudent that the rifles be cleaned & lubed as the oil from the factory isn't meant to break the gun in. & Yes short stroking the lever will cause a jamb

    Looks to me the last section of the video indicated a failure to extract the spent case prior to chambering the new shell. I think Henry is aware of the extraction issue and has made improvements. Looks like a fun little gun to use around the farm yard for pests around the chicken coop and plinking with buddies. I ordered one a few days ago after looking at them for awhile and am excited to get one. Thought about getting a lower cost 410 for the farm yard but wouldn't be as much fun to shoot. I own the 45/70 20" barrel that looks just like this 410 and have had it for 2 years. Love it for hunting deer in the woods. Enjoy!

    When your working the lever make sure that you go all the way forward and back...not lightly but with nice authority...try to keep the lever level and don't let a wobble get in the back and forth...you have to be a little heavier working the action especially with a lever shotgun it's just the nature of the beast...you were working it a little light a couple of times and not fully extending the action kinda short selling it....shotgun lever arms will bind the ammo if you get light on the action...neat piece

    Nice piece. I have chronic arthritis in my spine and been looking for a good all around shooter in .410. Even .20 gauge wrecks me. I wonder if Henry offers lever and trigger mods. Smooth out that 'clunky' spot in the action and set the trigger at about 3 pounds. Perfect. Thank you for the feature.

    • @phatbassanchor
      @phatbassanchor Před 5 lety +1

      @Kamril Sounds like a great piece. At that price point who could argue! Certainly much more affordable than the Henry and semi-auto holding 10 .410 shells would be a lot of fun to shoot. I still have concerns regarding the .410 cartridge itself though. I have yet to try firing one since the accident that crippled my spine. What's the recoil like on your Saiga?
      I'm a die hard AR fan. I've been this way since first firing the M16 A1 in Marine Corps boot camp in 1984. Now with arthritis in my lower spine, It's the only rifle that doesn't hurt when I shoot it. I've tried other rifles that claim to have recoil buffering. But, only the AR's buffer works well enough to shoot it pain free. My Ruger 10-22 kicks harder than my AR. :)

Especially when it jammed...he clears the jam, puts the live shell in the chamber, closes the action, and then starts moving the bore around the room with his fingers in front of it trying to load 5 more... there's some odd video cutting around that too.

      Why I like .410 shotguns
      1 gets the job done
      2 powerful, without thumping recoil.
      3 I like lever - action guns
      4 I like shotguns

    I think 410 is an under appreciated home defense weapon. If you live in a house with kids or an apartment the chance of wall penetration with a 410 is substantially lower than say 12 gauge or any self defense pistol cartridges.

    • @johncromar8382
      @johncromar8382 Před 5 lety +1

      The 410 muzzle velocity, range, and penetration are equal to 12 or 20 gauge. You just have less pellets.
      Shoot Straight.

    • @ricomock2
      @ricomock2 Před 5 lety

      .223 is still a substantially better option than slugs or buck at the velocity thrown by .410 shotguns. Both in terminal ballistics and over penetration risks
