What did you think about the rubber bullets? I hope you enjoyed the video and thanks for watching!
Idk yet but probably amazing
Ready to report the scam bots :)
Scott as a fellow Kentuckian your the best you tuber from Kentucky 👍❤️
Bruh they fucking hurt, i been hit by one from a 12 gauge and it hurt like hell
One time I shot double bubble out of a muzzleloader just for “testing purposes”. It actually worked great but wasn’t accurate at all! I’d love to see it in slow motion to see what was actually happening if the gum was coming apart or just tumbling in the air and going off target..
Enjoyed the intro as it reminded me of a story my Dad told. This was in the late 50’s or early 60’s. A guy he worked with was bragging, and complaining, about the new rifle he had just bought in time for hunting season. He bragged about how accurate it was but he said it went through more ammo than he expected. So he and Dad went out to find out the problem. Yep, you got it. It was a semi-auto and every time he shot it, he ran the bolt manually. Thanks for the memory!!!
😄
But shouldn't these people noticing the unfired rounds on the ground??
@@penedrador Or the fact they emptied a 30 round magazine in 15 shots? 😂
so he just forgot how many rounds he put in the mag? or are you just lying to be cool?

I don't know much about rubber bullets but on behalf of the folding table producers of America we would like to thank Scott for single handedly keeping us in business throughout the entire covid19 scare 😱
Lol
hi from Canada, i will love to know, how many table is destroy up to this date ?
The real G, sportsman's guide doesn't seem to be the official table sponsor anymore, so it must really be hurtin the old back pocket.
Do you have shares? Lol😂

Dude, what have you done to me? I've never shot a gun myself, I'm not even that interested in them but now I'm bingewatching your videos and I gotta admit I am more than entertained.
Thanks and keep up the good work.
You should find a well trained and responsible instructor and get on the range. Shooting is fun. Just be safe. I find it akin to meditation. Forces me to focus my mind and body.
@@graydi66y just watching that childlike joy is more than enough for me. I understand where you're coming from, and I'm sure I'd try my luck on a range, but with weapon law in Germany being rather restrictive, it sadly would be way more effort than what I'd get out of it.
@@Blutwolf86 man that sucks. We don't let our govt tell us what we can and can't do. Our ATF just changed "rules" on pistol braces. I don't see us complying with their rule. Either that or there'll be so much overcompliance that they will be swamped and could not possibly keep up.
@@seanmccarty1176 in germany people usualy either have guns because they hunt or because they do sport shooting in a shooting club and the shooting clubs mainly exist for traditions sake, atleast in Bavaria. One intresting thing is that if you are a honored member of a shooting club they will shoot a canon during your funeral.
@@Blutwolf86 If a BB gun is an option for you then plinking cans is fun with one.
It would be interesting to see rubber bullets vs regular if the rubber bullets had the same amount of gunpowder. It's obvious that they are VERY light on propellent.
Yes indeed, very light for a reason. Much more than the loads shown would cross into "lethal".
@scatterhawk47 I live in a country where, as a civilian, you can only carry less than lethal.
I own a Fort 17R that shoots .45 rubber, it's one of the most powerful and popular self-defense guns around here.
The gun cycles fine when firing and all tests show that it's really effective, you can look it up there are a few videos but they aren'tin English. I wonder if it's possible to import those into USA.
@@ghosty_wan5943 9mm has a near 0% reoffending rate
@@ghosty_wan5943yo what country that soundslike a pretty good deal
The main takeaway from this is that while the rubber bullet may be less lethal, the gas escaping from the barrel can still be quite lethal, especially at close range. Always remember that less-lethal is not non-lethal.
Well when you put that everything is lethal than. A tv remote is not non lethal
@@cadebeek3111 That's true but that is not the intended way to use a remote. To turn it into a lethal object you have to hit someone as hard as possible on the head and that never happens unintentionally. The gun with rubber bullets on the other hand is still used as intended but from a closer distance the less-lethal rounds deliver an unintentional killshot.
Yea and whatever police use are loaded far spicier than these rubber bullets

Yakuza 4 be like:
The most relatable comment I've ever read under a Kentucky ballistics video
Totally lost it when the .44 basically just fell out of the barrel. Could have spit a bullet harder, lol. Awesome video Scott
I suspect the reason for similar performance is that they are primer powered, and most primers produce similar "oomph". The .380 had the smallest volume of all the cartridges tested, and so the best expansion ratio, velocity, and damage.
"Sir this is a school you can't bring that here!"
11:52
It's crazy how in the other videos the less lethal CO2 rounds actually pentrated the shirt and the torso but the rubber handgun rounds looked like they'd barely sting. Some of those CO2 ones actually caused pretty gnarly injuries like that headshot with the metal core round for example going into the skull.
From the sound, it really sounds like it’s just the primer propelling the rubber bullet… like no powder burn at all, or an inconsistent amount of burn simply because the round is too light to cause good compression. Loved the lethal bit in slow mo that on 9mm round that had the stream of green zombie blood lol
Yes, indeed! if there's not enough mass then it won't have enuf compression and the gun won't cycle the next round. I have heard of protesters getting shot up by rubber bullets by police at much further distances but have lost eyeballs, fingers, ears, testicles, and suffered brain damage from head shots. Plus, never heard of the po-po having to suffer thru no auto cycling...maybe they don't make'em like they used to...?!
Yeah, it totally sounds like its just primer going off. I feel like there's almost no chance for any of the powder to really burn before the projectile is already out the barrel since there's no weight being pushed.
Basically hitting someone with one of these is going to really pi$$ them off. Hope you are wearing good running shoes. 🤷♂️🤣
Here in the UK an Umarex T4E Glock 17 paintball gun is the best we can own that can fire rubber ammo.
@@Jones-xx2gc 😔sorry man that really suks

Got to see what kind of shenanigans Scott's getting into now. Always a great show thanks
The spurt that came out of that chest wound was outrageous,it was like the energizer bunny it just kept goong and going. I would of thought for sure dome of those rubber bullets would of made it into the skin besides the point blank ones. Keep up the great work Scott, still waiting on that AR 500 steel plate inside ballistics gel test. #letsmakeithappen
i thought that as well. like there really was a zombie heart pumping it out
Believe it or not the shirt plays a huge roll in preventing it penetrating the skin.
It's still definitely not an accurate model. I mean, that was a 9mm and it didn't blow the lungs out of its chest!
The moment he started drawing on the dummy I realized how much his random sense of humor speaks to me... On a SPIRITUAL level.
I haven't watched KB for a while (fell off my recommended list for some reason). Have to say, the quality of the video has much improved, its great. Especially that last scene with the slow-mo shots. Brutal.
Yeah, it was like watchin' a Peckinpah film.
The hidden joke in the intro scene regarding the topic of the video is marvellous. I think those intros are the better half of the quality content here. It is great to see that you are just like that.
Quite some time ago a friend of mine showed me two boxes a 45 ACP that his grandfather got from the military . The ammo was manufactured in the early 1950s and they had dark blue hard rubber bullets. I never seen anything like that but there they were. He said according to his grandfather they were designed for riot control. As far as I know he never fired any of them and probably still has them.
They designed them specifically for thompson submachine guns, you were supposed to shoot at the feet of rioters and allow the round to fragment and spray onto them.
Sounds bonkers if you ask me
I have watched a LOT of your videos, but this is absolutely my favorite intro. I feel like I know some people like that. Love the videos man!
Its exam season for me, and theirs something just about these vids that help calm me down before I sleep
same
U from USA? 💀
What it sounds like happened was each of the rubber bullets were loaded with just a primer so that as the bullet weight increased, the bullet was moving slower
Plausible.
Only Scott could make a video on rubber bullets into an action movie!
Dummy really thought he was gonna get off easy💀
3:27 I love it when Scott draws devious faces on these torsos. It makes him look like a big kid!
Would be interesting to see these loaded to regular velocities & re tested
Yeah like these blue 308 we used in training
That intro it so under rated😂 i never seen that technique, heard or even thought about someone doing that😂

I’m pretty interested in seeing what Radically Invasive Projectile ammo - otherwise known as R.I.P. ammo - does to the zombie torso. It comes in a good variety of calibers too, so you should get a decent amount of fun out of it lol.

There's a billion videos already. I'm actually pretty sure he's done a video or 2 with them way back.
They’ve already been proven to be trash
@@Kholdstare0503 Long story short, I know of a guy admitted into the ER due to GSW - a single 9mm R.I.P., center mass. That ER is no stranger to such wounds, but after 6 hours on the operating table, the guy still died. Not to mention that the ammo continues to fly off of practically every shelf despite its higher price, as it is damn difficult to find it not sold out regardless of how many places I check. I have another reason for being favorable toward it, but it wouldn’t be a short story.
A “trash” round would be more like “Guy 2 shot Guy 1 with [ammo], but all it did was piss Guy 1 off.”
Would love to see some of those auto calibers reloaded to a sufficient charge to cycle the gun and see how "less lethal" they still are
Subscribed, my man being both informative and entertaining
Due to the inconsistency in loading, I personally feel those things are DANGEROUS. They might lull someone into thinking they are safe, or simply a toy, then BANG someone or something gets hurt. Yea there is no way I would touch those things.
Exactly, and and the other hand they might not be enough to make an attacker stop. Blanks will probably be much better for that, at least they sound like the real thing.
if you need to pull a gun on someone you are past the point of using less than lethal junk ammo.
Saw a video on Brandon Herreras channel a guy got handed a blank gun and immediately put it to his head and almost killed himself thinking it was a cap gun
Said nobody
Zactly.
Hey KB! Love youre videos! Very informative, fun and full of energy.
I like that your covering less than lethal options for people that don't like using or have access to firearms.
I wanted to ask, have you heard about traumatic guns or "armas traumáticas"?
I discovered them a while ago while researching blank guns. They are very popular in south america, especially in Colombia it seems.
They're basically front firing blank guns that shoot a similar cartridge with a rubber bullet inside.
They seem to be very effective at what they do!
I'd love to hear your opinion on them and maybe see if you can review one?
Thank you for your time!
2:16 I can’t stop hearing “STI” 😂
Scott has to try medieval armor vs bullets I bet it would be cool. love the vids btw 😊
Would love to see him have Shadiversity or Metatron to make sure the armor's legit, not the flimsy foil Matt used. Metatron lives in the US now (I think he's in Tennessee) so it wouldn't be that far of a trip.
Bullets and guns were one of the main reason why armor became obsolete in the first place. Modern rounds wouldn't have much of a problem and the video would be very short
Only way to actually test that theory would be to use authentic medieval armor from the correct time period and that would be expensive, using modern stuff wouldn't feel justified
Scott + Todd Cutler would be awesome
@@penedrador full medieval armor with the metal leather and chainmail would at least stop 9mm
They went from Less Lethal to Barely an Inconvenience.
oohh that reference is TIGHT!
RIGHT??? he should test them against airsoft guns
Have you done paintball?
See, those are not lethal as well but they will leave pretty decent mark on your body if you just use a shirt. Most of these bullets would do the same thing.
You probably wouldn't be having a good day if you where shot a full magazine of these against your body.
The interesting part about this would be what their energy is, not penetration but jouls. Chrono and weigh them, that would be the really interesting part. I could see how they might try to stay in the same energy range which is why the bigger ones might be slower and have less of a visible effect. If you are in law enforcement you don't need bigger caliber bullets with more energy depending on the caliber size or at least not that it would be simply upscaled with caliber size. I'd guess you'd want consistent energy and not bigger rounds with even more speed having way more energy.
Afterall this is ammunition to be considered less lethal so standard gun logic of bigger caliber for more damage doesn't really apply.
Yes, the result you see might be still strange but that's what I'd like the energy of each one for. Because on real humans all of those would probably leave about the same mark as they exert the same force so you don't want a bigger caliber that does more damage.
@@toaster_gmbh Kentucky had that one guy who wanted to test non-lethal bullets before and they did some nasty damage on him. Well they did use some stronger ones.
Maybe a re run is in order.

It appears that those rounds are propelled by the primer only. That would explain why the heavier the bullet is, and the larger the case is, the less power they have.
That was hands down the best end to a ballistic dummy I've ever seen. Nice!

With increasing levels of powder to see what it takes to make them lethal
Finally this zombie has an actual attached head. Instead of being held on with wires and duct take
This intro was awesome. I've actually witnessed a new shooter do this
The riding the zombie with the bike absolutely killed me, great choice/decision.
This actually makes perfect sense, they would likely all be at a set amount of powder per round so when the size of casing increases it loses potential energy before even popping the rubber bullet out of the casing. I’d assume the largest round tested may be loaded hotter for the ability to shoot from a longer range with the rubber bullet.
Repent and trust in Jesus. we deserve Hell for our sins. For example lying, lusing, saying God's name as a cuss word and stealing our just some examples of sin which we can all admit to doing at least one of those. For our sin we deserve death and Hell, but there is a way out. Repent anf trust in Jesus and you will be saved. Repentence is turning from sin. So repent and trust in Jesus. Love how you test all the less than lethal rounds but honestly if less than lethal is someone’s bag they should just carry a paintball gun 😂😂😂
At least then you can use pepperballs as well as the good old rubber practice balls, or you can do what some like to do and power mod it to shoot steel balls (or my personal favourite, sleeve the barrel and modify it to shoot smaller steel balls at a much higher velocity)
He just had a bad set of rounds, they are used alot in training, and even hardcore milsim sports that use them as if they were paintballs
@@verakoo6187 he had a bad set for every single calibre he tries? When you have six different boxes of ammunition that all performed equally poorly you can't say its just a bad box, it's just bad ammunition overall at that point

5:23 Surely a Green Gas or Co2 Airsoft does much more damage than that. hahahha
Love the new character. Hoping to see more of him.
I agree that the power (or lack of) is heavily influenced by the loading of these rounds. But I feel like there may also be a chance that these rounds have a different terminal velocity compared to regular bullets due to them being much lighter weight. If YT still allows it I would be interested to see if rubber bullets correctly packed by Scott would have the same effect (then it is likely caused by terminal velocity) or if they’re just unevenly packed with less powder.
The terminal velocity isnt as important as the amount of powder.. what do you think the terminal velocity is of a normal round? About 70 mph .. and if you shoot it then it travels way way faster. The terminal velocity would matter if shot straight in the sky and then the way it travels down will be in the speed of the terminal velocity. But in this normal case the terminal velocity doesnt play any significant role, just as it doesnt with normal rounds, theres no problem to propel an object past its terminal velocity
Baad
Exactly, it just has a bad ballistic coefficient and slows down quick. Terminal vel has nothing to do with it.
you and me both. I think I would like to see a "less lethal rounded" loaded to the correct powder and see what it really can do. If reloading dyes were so dang expensive...
I would have thought rubber would be heavier than say a fmj bullet or hollow point? More weight would mean more speed lost due to it be affected more by gravity. Stoner thoughts.
@@jamesmcguinness1530an fmj or hollow point has a lead core they're much heavier than rubber and also more weight means more momentum to keep it moving fast ever driven a heavy car and tried to stop? If not I'll just say they're harder to stop than a light car and air especially when it comes to non Spitzer style bullets acts like a brake so the lighter the projectile the more quickly it loses speed but on the flip side of that a lighter bullet will exit the barrel at a higher speed given the same powder loading
These are most certainly the most adorable gunblasts I’ve ever heard from you, Scott!! Reminds me of shooting BB guns with my kids when they were younger😊.
I think I've learned a lot in this video.
Not only did the rubber bullets carry less inertia exiting the barrel, it also loses a lot of that inertia through the air.
Also the bigger the caliber more inertia it loses due to the more drag it suffers through the air causing it to generate the least force to the target on impact.
Because the composite don't possess as much mass at lead.
Thank you.
Also way less powder in those rounds. If they used the same load as lead it would definitely be way more damage.
These rounds make paintball look lethal 🤣🤣🤣 hi to all the kenfolk. Great video Scott 👍
