After struggling to decide whether to customise or restore this very accurate casting of a Jensen Interceptor, my mind was made up when I found out Corgi produced a version with a clear window mould. I would restore this one (or close enough with the paint I had to hand) and try source a clear window type for a custom in future.
This 46a Interceptor was produced for the Corgi Rockets range in 1969 and was converted to Corgi's Juniors line in 1970. The Juniors casting had opening doors while while the Rockets didn't and nearly always had the blue tinted window and yellow interior, aside for the previously mentioned clear window and very rare red interior. It lasted in production until 1973.
The real Interceptor was made by British firm Jensen between 1966 and 1976 when the company went bust. The design was very reminiscent of small-scale Brazilian manufacturer Brasinca's Uirapuru. Both shared the distinctive curved glass across the rear hatch.

Seasons greetings from Canada! That resto turned out beautiful. When I was a kid, there was a Jenson Interceptor accross the street from where I lived. It was a bright yellow colour. You couldn't miss it by sight or sound.
Lovely restoration Jason, the lighter green suits the car perfectly.
Wonderful colour for that car as you say it matches the window tint 🙌 the interceptor a Wonderful looking car .
I agree with you, Jason. The lighter color is actually an improvement! Very nice! Have a Happy New Year!
Nice restoration, details and paint job 👍👍
Very nice finished car.
It looks much happier now that it’s been refurbished….
So see you next year!
Wow! I cant believe youtube is only now recommending your videos to me. These are awesome! I love that you give a history of the real car as you restore the toy version. I restored a corgi rockets veraion last year. It was a fun challenge to replicate the chrome finish.
Nicely done. 👍
nicely done
Great finish to 2022, looking forward to some great stuff in 2023. Happy New Year to you and the family.
This Jensen gotten really stunning. You pointed correctly the similarity between Jensen and our Uirapuru. Pretty nice. I really like when you restore olds Impys, Corgis, Majorettes, Matches and Sikus. I'm a huge fan and collector from oldtimers diecast cars, specially from 60s, 70s and 80s. Hope to watch you restore some Corgis (Specially the Vans) or more Sikus as soon it could be possible. The most cool thing in your channel is your feedback to the audience! Really nice. Keep the good job and to bring us more restorations, specially from the classics! Greetings from Brazil.
I’ll make sure to include Corgi and Siku into my next batch of projects! It’ll be a few weeks away yet so keep on watching!
Nice one mate. Growing up in Canada I had a picture of a Jensen in an old English car book of my dads. I’m not sure what it is about this car but the design is very elegant in my eyes. I assume the car is not the best to drive, but one can dream. I just found a burgundy model I plan to customize. Take care.🤩🏎️
Wonderful restoration Jason!!!! Color came out great along with the details. Looking forward to more of your work next year, happy new year to you and the family.
Nice!
Beautiful. You done a great job on this.
There is a company in America who does clear glazing. Waiting for my 2 resto projects to arrive before I order some. The post cost is very high.
love the colour you picked, it goes well with everythign else indeed. :)
happy new year! ^^
I will look out for one with clear glass maybe, next time there are flea markets around again. should be second january week, methinks. I did score a husky aston martin JB, and all that's amiss is the passenger and the edges of the front bumper...
Quality history, video and resto work as usual. Happy New Year!
Interceptor..... Best name ever for a car!
Love light metallic green colours with cars. Good job all round. Best wishes for the new year Jason.
.........And keep er lit ya boy ye
Great job 👍
NICEEEEEE . Great work as always , paint is awesome , love the color .
Great finish . HAPPY NEW YEAR .
Mike .
i resto'd one of these many years ago. it was originally a metallic red/pink with horrid yellow glass. redid it in a dark green colour scheme with chome bits but god damn that yellow glass is awful, wish i could find or somehow make a replacement for it. nice work though, looks really nice and a lot better than mine.
genial 👍
Good workers always there Jason you also knew this car was in Fast and the Furious the driver was Letty it was the episode they went to England to get her back you just keep up the good work keep bringing out all these beautiful cars I've never seen before and have a Happy New Year say hi to your dad and God bless
I also agree with the comments re the colour looks really good though I would not classify West Bromwich where the cars were built as Birmingham. Sorry Jason Happy New Year
Happy new year, Jason!
