      JesusChrist never makes a mistake about the truth, but man was born with lies in his conscience, because his parents;
      JesusChrist is the Pastor, and will give mankind shepherds according to their understanding, whether they trust God or no.
      And it looks as if the whole world trust man, more than God. Cursed is the man that trusteth in man, and that maketh strength his arm, strength, Jeremiah 17:5.

    So I ask The Lord for understanding, discernment, an open heart & mind to bring me to the conclusion of TRUTH solely. So when I read scripture or hear it I'm able to recognize the truth from the false. I never hope to elevate myself so high that I feel like I'm beyond still learning scripture, who God is, who Jesus is or The Holy Spirit... If a person can show me scripture and correct me with scripture then I'm all for it. Sometimes we let out emotions get in the way of receiving truth even if evidence is clear. I know any time Corey speaks on something about scripture that he has scripture to support whatever it is. God bless you brother..

I do find it amazing how God speaks to some of these people more than He spoke to Elijah, Elisha, Moses and the likes. I also find it amazing that these so called prophecy’s are 99% vague and the majority don’t come true.

      I think that choosing the word "abused", where the gifts of prophecy and tongues are concerned is not accurate.
      The legitimate gifts are effectual, therefore when in manifestation there is no abuse. However there are those who pretend to have these gifts, and put on a vainglorious show. It serves no one but themselves.
      He that is sent glorifies him that sent him. Let all things be done to the glory of God is the exhortation.

    As someone who has taught Hebrew and Greek you don’t need to be a “ scholar” to figure out what the actual text ( not the translation) says.
    Basic tools are readily available for anyone to use but unfortunately people would prefer their self-centred religious idolatry than humble submission to what God actually states.
    Word for word what you state is correct. But because in Greek word order meaning is defined through declension not in order of words as written it’s the spiritual ( things of the spirit) which Paul desires pursuit of for a specific purpose which is so that ( God’s) revelation (be) exemplified / magnified .. or in order for the primacy of revelation ..
    If what anyone says is exactly what God states then let those who disagree argue with God.
    The issue isn’t about whether a scholar is needed or not seeing a scholar really isn’t needed but whether a person accepts what God states or mockingly rejects it.
    It’s like Moses who asked, who is on the Lord’s side?
    It’s later in the same letter that Paul states what these same spiritual things are that he encourages pursuit of but in the mean time he is sorting out the carnal confusion in the Corinthian church.

    Brother Corey, in these very last of the last days, let us ALL know that THE WORD, The TRUE and LIVING LORD GOD ALMIGHTY, who chose to become flesh, and make HIMSELF known to HIS creation in and as Christ JESUS of Nazareth, our Lord and Our Savior, who suffered, died, and bled for our sins, is THE TRUTH! Only those who refuse to accept THE TRUTH will end with the great opposer of THE TRUTH, beholding THE WORD yet choosing to remain aloof! We can be lifted up in pride and self, only to be left! Or, we can humble self, agree with THE WORD, obey through a life in THE WORD, and not join that growing number that shall end in Hell, ETERNALLY bereft! If it is not THE WORD, it is a lie! If we believe HIM who holds ALL power in Heaven and in Earth in HIS Hand, we do know who is the father of the lie! It is THE BOOK, our LOVE LETTER, in which we should always be so very mindful to take a second look, so as not to get caught up in carnality, only to become bait for that devil satan's hook! Only THE WORD can define THE WORD; and on that Great Throne Judgment Day, when we ALL shall stand before THE WORD, even the deaf will not be able to say that they never heard! AMEN! AMEN! AMEN!
    NOTE: As read in our LOVE LETTER, The HOLY GHOST Inspired, AKJV Bible, as translated out of the original tongues: Genesis 1:1; John 1:1; John 1:14; Matthew 1:17-18; Matthew 28:17-18; John 1:17-18; John 14:6-7; Revelation 1:7-8; John 10:1-2; John 10:7-9; John 3:34-36; John 8:42-44; Exodus 32:32-33; Matthew 7:13-14; 1 Peter 4:17-19; Revelation 22:17-19; Luke 6:46; Hebrews 3:5-6; Hebrews 3:14-15. AMEN! AMEN! AMEN!
    PS: My TRUE brothers, sisters, of EVERY nation/race, have we TRULY entered The TRUE and LIVING LORD GOD ALMIGHTY'S strait gate, and are we continuing in HIS narrow way, even of HIM who is THE WAY? Do we not know that the "YES" or the "NO," and HE does see, will determine our ETERNAL pay? The "YES" is the way of THE WAY awaiting us in Paradise! The "NO" is the way of him who rebelled, got kicked out of Heaven, and will spend ETERNITY with the rebellious in Hell, where the tears will never be dried from the eyes! AMEN!

    It's easy to find out if you have some sort of bias against things in the Bible, all you have to do is ask yourself one question. Do I do the things the Apostle's and their disciples did? If you're not, and it's because of some understanding you might have, then yes you are wrong. Example: What is the right thing to do in this situation? "We Baptized 100 people, but the Spirit didn't fall on any of them. Do you A. Say, no need for that, you got it already or B. Rush to Go lay hands on them, so they receive it?

    Cory, love your teaching but it seems to me that you are adding the idea of "bring revelation" when you describe prophesy. In both vs. 1 and vs. 5. If Paul wanted to mean revelation why didn't he say revelation. Paul is obviously talking about spiritual gifts, the whole context of chapters 12 and 14. When you divorce the word "spiritual things" from the context of the rest of the chapter it appears that you are making a clumsy and artificial conclusion. What else could Paul be referring to when he uses the word "spiritual things" when he spends the rest of the chapter talking about spiritual gifts? Now, technically you are correct when you say that the word "spiritual" does not include the word gifts in verse 1, but taken in context what else could he be referring to? Obviously, the context of chapters 12, and 14 is spiritual gifts.

The special gifts were given only to certain people ( see Ephesians 4:11-13) 1st Corinthians 12:28-30. These scriptures point to the apostles as described in Acts 1:4-5, Acts 1 : 8. Only for the apostles that's why Jesus chose them. This was meant to establish and build up the church until the Bible could be completed (1 Corinthians 13:10-11)

      Gifts of the Spirit are FOR God for HIS purposes... Not to make one boast in themselves. Sign gifts are for those who seek signs... And they are no longer in use because blindness in part has come upon Jews while GRACE through Faith has come upon Gentiles... Rightly divide. The testimony of Jesus Christ IS the Spirit of prophecy... The Bible is complete from beginning to end.
      The sign gifts that were performed by the Jewish Apostles, were fulfillments of the Prophecies about what they'd perform from the 4 gospels. And they were done through Jews OR in the presence of JEWS. Acts is not written TO the Church.

      Mark 16
      17 And these *signs* shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
      18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
      👆 And they did... In the book of Acts where these were fulfilled. These BOOKS are written TO Jews. Letters from Paul and later John... Written to Church

    You're wrong about the Shabbat and observance but it's all good

      You don't know about dispensations?
      SHABBAT goes with Peter
      LORDS day goes with Paul
      Jesus had to use Paul, to get with the Greeks...
      Since they were into weird things...like the Greek gods
      Peter couldn't handle that
      AFTER Acts 9, acts goes with Paul

      Corey is extremely humble, the problem isn't corey, the problem is charismatics do not like the truth that goes against their experiences and erroneous teachings
