I dont't know if it is still the case today, but when I applied for a job at Puma HQ a few years back, they ask you if a family member works for adidas, and if that is the case, you basically won't get the job xD they still fear espionage I guess

You missed out on an interesting trivia - from 2004 to 2018, there was a Puma Dassler working in Adidas as General Counsel. And not just any Dassler, but the son of Armin Dassler, the ex-CEO of Puma!

I can tell you that this channel is immensely factual and based on reality as I am a business school graduate with majors in marketing innovation and finance, tbh certain things although taught in theory, were never visualised like this, so this is valuable, easy to digest and understand and reliable information being passed down in such a creative way! Well, it's funny because Puma hired Pelé to be the face os King boots in the Mexico world cup and it was a success. But actually, Pelé wore Adidas disguised as Pumas because it was the shoes he thought to be more comfortable and was more used to play with.

Lothar MatthÀus' father and brother worked for decades for Puma, Lothar was so close to Rudolf that he was considered almost as a 3rd son to him. That's why MatthÀus chose to start his career with Puma-equipped Borussia Mönchengladbach and received a special allowance to keep playing in puma shoes after he transferred to Adidas-equipped Bayern Munich.

Two great German brands. Puma appears to have lost much luster over the years for professional athletics appeal in wearing its shoes but the clothing brand played a significant mark among the hip-hop generation during the 90âs and early 2000âs.

I've been brand loyal to Adidas since I was a child. 1) Never knew Puma was a German brand, 2) located in the same town 3) by the same family!!!!! I wish they could patch things up and become the ultimate super company.. i hate nike

However, could you 2 please tell me from where you have this information that Rudolf would have been very supportive? Because I couldn't find that piece of information. In fact I have read that Rudolf claimed that gave the NSDAP money because of his own economic reasons/goals that he had in regards to his business. He also didn't support any of it (ideology, personalities, literature, political party) in West Germany after ww2 from what I know.

I'm still confused as to how both of the brands managed to become big.
german products. basically whole europe. eastern europe who was bossing fell after world war 1. poland,rom,czechslovakia etc. Otherwise there was serious competition among them for supremacy. Then japan came and sent everybody packing( collaborating with usa like nobody in the history of mankind)
switz has their watches, holland also invents, uk has rollce,aston martins,french and italy have fashion and what not( lambhorg,ferrari,french trains and planes and wines)
I just own one trekking shoes and a bunch of gym garments from Adidas all the rest is from Puma and UnderArmour
