#prime #redbull #gatorade - Sport
Prime proves no matter how terrible a product is if you attach it to a celebrity’s name you have a chance
The product isn't completely awful but yes it is pretty weak compared to it's "competitor" Gatorade.
It's not terrible, compared to many other things like soft drinks it's pretty good. As a sports drink it just doesn't work very well.
and it doesn't matter if celebrity is literally a scammer
I bought by accident because the bottle was beautiful in airport and I’m 30. That red white blue flavor tastes good for a sweet lover like me 😂
Just like ftx or crypto
The players don't drink Prime. It's just the same as having a partnership with any other sponsor.
Idk for what reason, i thought that would be using the product too 🤦♂️ how naive. Ofc they just signed for the money.
I see Verstappen drinking Red Bull every now and then, at least on CZcams
same like with the red bull sponsored events where there are "tons" that look like a red bull can where the athletes take out their red bull cans.. but they are actually filled with water haha
And i love that most victim of prime popularity is kids. They get fights and become even more adhd because of it😂😂 F em kids
I have no idea how they have signed these large sponsorships with sports clubs - the hydration aspect of Prime is so bad compared to other hydration/sport drinks.
Tbh this surprised us as well.
Yes. But teams and leagues also have fast food chains and alcohol brands as sponsors
For some reason sports organizations don't think of their sponsors as what they actually endorse. Probably why McDonald's sponsors the Olympics or why most sports teams have at least 1 alcohol sponsor
@@AthleticInterest One word M O N E Y! Give enough and everyone sells it's soul...... Prime is 99% marketing and nothing else. They're gameplan is very easy, as done by other celeb brands, sell it quickly for an overrated price, bought by a panicked "old" company before the hype dies off....
Technically Prime is doing sports washing just like so many "worse" companies
I see stacks of Prime unsold all over the place. Costco couldn’t sell them for a long time.
It tastes horrifically overly sweet and artificial. Disgusting
I’ll drink Gatorade any day before I drink a Prime.
or lucozade
I saw it in Costco at 12 for 15£ which is an insane price when there are much higher quality options for much less money
almost twice as much caffeine in it compared to Red Bull 💀
Pocari Sweat or Aquarius it is
If only these drinks would have real sugar. I can't drink any drink with fake sugar it leaves horrible aftertaste.
nah, in Australia supermarkets there are shelves full of Prime and no one bats an eye.
Same in Norway
Same in the uk
Same in Israel
Same in UAE it’s fully stocked everywhere 😂
Same in Bhutan
"kids feeling pressured to spend money on Prime to be accepted". What a sad sad teenagers world it has become these days.
just watch the new South Park special
This isn't a new concept. Different product, different generation, same story
This has always been the case tho. Teenage years are difficult for everyone so everyone thinks they need to take any possible way to be cool. You probably also bought some stupid shit to seem relevant...
@nottherealChickenJoe For me it was literally some stupid rubber bands they had different shapes
@@Banjo_Was_Taken dinosaur rubber arm bands just made people the kings of their schools hahahah
Didn't know it was that popular in the world, here in NYC I see them always stocked and have yet to see anybody drink them in public.
Literally first I've heard of it LOL
I never heard of prime til I learned the new South Park special was basically clowning it 😂😂
prime is pretty strongly tied to futbol (soccer) culture so it makes sense its not as popular here in the states. along with haaland they are the official energy drink of barca- probably the most popular soccer club in the world.
@@trytofindareasonwhyI have never seen anyone drink this in Germany, I dont think its that popular in countries with soccer culture
Because it's being drunk by children I mean Elementry/middle school boys primarily
Because they get paid. It’s genuinely the worst drink I’ve ever tasted.
They are not bad just not anything fancy. I wouldn’t buy it again, but I had worse sports drink with a lot more sugar, such a gatorade or powerade.
@@Definitely_Melnyxmore sugary drinks like Gatorade and Powerade are much better for active people, those drinks are also nutritionally balanced compared to prime which isn't, in the UK we had Lucozade which is the biggest sports drink, and once prime came out they tried a no sugar version, and it was significantly worse than the original for my performance and taste.
You must’ve had the green flavors
U never had the Mars, Twix and Asian energy drinks then..
🤮🤮🤮🤮
It’s wild that people are seeking this stuff out; there’s cases of it at the discount grocery store near me 😂
there are cases of Gatorade too lol😂
This video is whole year behind. Craze stopped before summer for this shit
@@azrrrrrrrr Yeah I kinda feel that way as well.
@@azrrrrrrrr bruh they literally did $350 million Q4 alone and $1.2 billion in 2023, what are you talking about ?
@@X-hk6yk because mostly athletes and those who work out gatorade . Ofc kids etc drink it but its a sportsdrink
Prime promotes itself as a sportsdrink but comparing it to gatorade you see gatorade is better
The success of this drink explains the world we live today...
I had some of the raspberry prime and i couldn’t get the awful taste out of my mouth 😭
Eat some sugar
I've seen a big chest of Prime bottles in my local Tesco and they stayed there for weeks...looked like no one could give a damn about it
Dunno about other countries or other parts of the UK, but I've seen it on clearance at my local Sports Direct store. I asked the cashier if people are buying it and she said she sells 2 or 3 bottles a shift even though they're near the tills.
Hmmm, strange!! In London, they were like finding gold till few months ago, but these days they are relatively easy to find in every supermarkets but seem like they are out of stock most of the time.
@@TheDropForged maybe the hype was more in the major cities 🤷🏾♂️. Where I am, I've seen Prime all over the place with marked down prices as if retailers are trying to shift the stock.
@TheDropForged tbh i wouldnt past those 2 scumbags that they made that craze themselves
Weird. In London stock doesn’t last more than 2 weeks. All new flavours sell out in under a week. It isn’t in it’s prime but ppl are still buying it
@@TheRobloxKings777 key word: NEW flavors. Any brand usually sells their new flavors very fast. Especially if they are available somewhere else before(US)
Excellent video! I don’t know how you manage to put so much information into a video that’s less than 10 minutes long. The marketing strategy does sound brilliant.
Thanks for the video and happy new year!
Thank you and happy new year!
I don't know about other countries but in Germany it even remains in the Shelves of Aldi and Lidl...
watched you grow from less than 10k subs! amazing channel and the videos of are absolute high quality 👍
You're our lucky charm! 🍀
Nice video, love the work you are doing
Thanks a lot, Hector!
Very engaging video, you hit the sweet spot in terms of length. Keep going.
Just hitting our Prime 😜
Seems the hype may have died. I can now buy it as part of my £3.50 meal deal 🙃
🤪🤪
So why are they currently 50p each in Poundland if they're so popular? (I never see Red bull on sale)
just isnt true💀💀
@@TobyDknsn it is true, and they sell them to Poundland when they have a short shelf life left. Nobody ever buys them, the cashier told me that personally. If you want to go buy them it's Heeley Retail Park, Sheffield
I've seen them on clearance at my local Sports Direct store. I asked the cashier if people are buying it and she said, it's been there for ages.
@@taridean maybe we should buy them and sell them to these fools online for 5 quid a can 😂
@@DanceySteveYNWA not a shabby idea you know 😁
video quality is top notch. bravo!
Thanks 👊😉
I am from a country where we don’t have Prime, our neighbouring countries don’t have it either, so I had to order it from a far, for like 4 € a bottle. I just wanted the bottles on the shelf, they are so simple and good looking. They are really too sweet and artificial, they lack salt, so you can’t use it as an effective sports drink, to be honest, this was the last thing I wanted to drink when I was thirsty, I had to wash it down with tap water, that’s how sweet they are :D Half the fluid or even more stayed in the bottle, I just couldn’t drink it all, it went bad after few days, weeks, so I flushed it down the drain :D But the bottles look good on the shelf, at least something good out of it :D Wouldn’t buy again.
Love your Channel guys, keep going these current topics and business perspektives are so interesting.
Plenty more to come! 😉
We need videos more often but great job on the quality
Sounds like a plan! 😉
Nice video, high quality as usual. Good luck
Many thanks! 😉
The hype around Prime has already died out, it's sitting unsold everywhere where I live and judging by the comments the same thing is true everywhere. Gatorade would be wasting their money buying Prime, the brand is already dead.
Tbh i dont think gatorade is losing that much. 90% of Prime buyers are kids that either werent buying drinks before or very rarley bought gatorade. Also i havent noticed sport sponsorships gave much more appeal to the drink. I give it 2 years max where this brand starts declining as Logan paul has already hugely declined
He didn’t once say why ATHLETES drink prime like the title says.....
It is clear, all cause of hype, clubs don't care what they are promoting(clubs have become just business companies). Whoever pays them and has a good name in market clubs will promote it. Prime is an example of this. They have sponsorships with companies like Coca-Cola and Pepsi(very unhealthy drinks) promoted by sports teams, see the irony. Players never drink themselves, they want money. That's why I respect Ronaldo(being a Messi fan in terms of football) he never promotes this
love your content
Always great to hear. Thank you!
Never heard of it - must be getting old. Very interesting!
We all are 😄
Cant beileve that kids have to do this now
As someone who works in top flight sports, Athletic Interest you are on point. Really well made video.
Love this channel and wish you to post videos more often. I'm waiting so hard fo each one ❤
More to come in 2024!
Great video as usual but one big miss: how do you talk about prime without mentioning the fact that it's salt composition makes it a terrible sports drink even if it's marketed as such?
and i never hear about this even once.
Mericas kids drink it all.
I was so excited to try one and I brought it,, just 2 sips was enough for me.. I threw it all away.. Honestly the smell makes it so bad that its really hard to drink... I even googled best prime drink😂😂.. I regret it all the time. Nvr ever going to drink that again
1000% percent believe that this is an ad from Prime
I was in London and Prime was everywhere lol
My girlfriend is a part-time nutritionist and a full time food scientist. She explained to me that PRIME is as AVERAGE as they come in terms of being an energy drink aka as average as gatorade, powerade etc.
The only thing we are left to assume is that it sells out fast due to its marketing.
No matter how bang-average something is, market it to the right audience or market it the right way, and it will suceed. Just like Apple...
What's a high ranking energy drink then
@@wingedhussar1453 It's not marketed as an energy drink, but nutrition-wise, a Japanese drink called "Pocari Sweat" is widely considered as the best electrolyte and 'energy' drink.
Keeps you hydrated, easy on the stomach, and not that much sugar (although there still is a significant amount, just not to the same levle of Gatorade, red bull, monster, etc.)
I mean imagine if the creator of Gatorade was an international super star celebrity before he launched Gatorade…it probably also blow up just as fast.
Says a lot about Erling Haaland that he put his name to Prime, whilst Kylian Mbappe carefully selects what he puts his name to.
Any video here is a joy to watch
That great to hear! 😉
I’m convinced the formula is different abroad, the US version is so sweet took me days to finish, never craved again but seems to be so popular elsewhere
No it’s the same in Europe. It’s like drinking pure artificial sweetener and the taste stays for hours 🤮
Well here in Slovenia they are sold on discount mostly... Always on a shelf
In South Africa Prime is on Special every time because no one buys it here after the initial hype
They legit gave out packs of 12 for free in my city in Denmark, because it was going to expire soon
"At least when we are talking about the drink" that's gotta be up there in the top 20 disses of all time.
a new era of marketing... interesting
Shops in my country regret stocking up on prime, they are currently selling for 0.53 cents 😂 it tastes horrible
ALL I want is actually that green Matrix Powerade from 20 years ago haha nothing could ever reach that😪😪😪
the fact that a serial scammer and bad person like Logan Paul now owns a billion dollar company, a WWE contract, a successful podcast etc. etc. just shows you how unfair this world is
Oh so that's what the latest South Park episode was based on
How we can edit video likes you? Can you give me some tips
It's being sold for 2e a bottle in Lithuania. All over the supermarket shops heavily discounted
Lmao in my country, the hype lasted maybe a month. They go on sale now. They sit on shelves for quite long.
Wish they'd bring back [All Sport] carbonated sports drink from the 90's.
Here in asia(singapore), i have only see tiktoks about prime and cant associate any of the hype for it whatsoever. Something tells me their numbers are befuddled, considering the kind of person logan is.
I’m just happy to see Prime is being endorsed by Auston Matthews. The NHL is lagging in marketing it’s players. It’s good to see players doing endorsements
The corners stores here are full of Prime stacked on the floor and I never see it move
I almost never heard of Prime, has it been shipped to Europe too? Cuz in France I haven't seen a single bottle yet
Not a Prime hater, nor do I dislike Logan Paul, or KSI. I really wanted to try a Prime, and recently In New Zealand, where I'm from, in the last few months we've finally got stock. I bought a Blue prime, and I was excited to try it....
It was the worst drink I've ever tasted, fucking terrible.... 🤢
This is definetly a more European drink, in the US these are always on stock and hardly get sold
Wouldn’t say European at least in the grocery store i work in its always stocked and rarely sold.(germany)
Fantastic insight ........sincerely appreciate the hard work.
.
#primedrink #athleticinterest #artredis_in #athletes #nikhil_project #fantasticvideo
Thanks, Nikhil! 👏
Is this video old? Theres so much prime for sale all over the place. I think it was only popular when it first dropped
reminds me of Beats headphones few years ago... except this one has better build than the competitor.
I love your videos, i really do. But there was 0 news within these 9 minutes
It's funny how they walk around like they own the thing while the only thing they actually own is a combined of 3.1% of all shares. The problem though is if Prime CEO would tell you that and drill these 2 into the ground he/she will shoot themself in the foot cause it's free advertisement.
Haha in germany prime is always on sale cause nobody wants it
Slurms MacKenzie loves Prime
People may buy it once for the fad factor... Give it a few years and it will be nothing but a note in recent history
This is a good video god damn
What a review! 😉
i didnt know this was this big, ive never seen those bottles outside the shops, in there the stack is always full and ive never heard anybody talking about that either.
Am I already to old at 22 or has that just not reach northern germany yet? 😂
i lived in asia and never found a single prime drink...so its nothing but another monster or redbull.
I just had one of these to see what the hype was about and it was actually nasty. I was surprised nobody talked about it
Yeah idk, theres a store near my city where theyve been struggling to sell it where its gone from 3 dollars pr bottle to abt 0.5 dollars
Prime legit tastes like the vitamine bottles no one touches
In Johannesburg, after an initial craze where I’d heard people were selling them at around the equivalent of ~17 USD a pop to now fully stocked supermarkets (Checkers) moving at R20 that’s around 1 USD, soon they’ll struggle to give them away
In Lithuania, they already allmost gave them for free. It was like buy Kilogram of potatos and get prime for 1CENT. :D
who's buying prime? i see them almost untouched compared to gatorade, powerade, and redbull
There was a pallet of Prime in my local Aldi, lasted weeks, slow for Aldi.
Prime is always avalible in my local asda, honestly I don't think it's as big as it's made out to seem
I love how south park depicted prime in their recent special.😅
Make video about cricket and future of cricket, IPL
Funny thing is a drink that has hydration in its name yet provides almost none
I live in Germany, for a while I had Prime accumulated in one part, I don't know if it sells well or not, since there was always a mountain of Prime packed in a wooden pallet. After several months I see that my supermarket does not sell it.
I don't know what it's taste, seems like an generic sugar drink.
I haven’t tasted it nor I have plans to but eh Red Bull always tasted below average yet look at where they are.
Brand matters the most.
Sam's club has them on clearance, personally I would never spend my money on anything related to the Paul Brothers.
daamm we don't have this on the market so i never though that was that big. The South park episode hit so wright.
Do one sponsors in Olympic
cease and desist letter any% speedrun WR submission
Here in Namibia they tried selling it at ridiculous prices, Namibians didn't care, we didn't buy them, they ended up trying to selling them for next to nothing... still no hype, we don't care bout silly gimmicks 😂
I've only ever seen one person ever drinking this and they didn't even seem to like it. That was in Ireland last year.
if Prime outsells Getorade I'm killing myself
You did Haaland dirty with that thumbnail, wtf
In my country, which is South Africa, it is the bargain bin, and only available in the biggest retailer in the country 😂
Never heard of it before this video
Here in South Africa the hype has long died down and the price of Prime has been more than halved to get rid of it
Can’t wait for PrimernMunich vs RB Leipzig in the champions league 2030
0:32 it's okay you guys can come to South African. They are sitting on store shelves to the point where they have specials
And that’s why I don’t drink Prime; it’s too expensive & not worth it.
No negative energy only positive energy🧿🧿🧿🧿🧿🧿🧿🧿🧿🧿🧿🧿🧿🧿🧿🧿
purchased once , was curious what's this all about ... turned out it's just a lemonade. the only difference - it's 3 times sweeter than regular stuff....never again
Now the hype has died down so have the sales
I've seen them in my local Tesco unsold for weeks now
I actually love prime. Just based on calories and ingredients compared to a gatorade. Only when it's cold though.
