You wouldn't be able to generate enough force without using some mechanical device or a machine and, that aside, you wouldn't be able to survive that kind of trauma afterwards

What really grinds my gears about the Bathroom Trap is the fact that Adam had next to no chance of winning. The second he emerged from the bathtub his key went down the drain. He had zero way of knowing the key was there and John just uses it as a "gotcha" moment at the end. Adam's lesson also makes no sense. What was he supposed to learn? Not to get out of bathtubs too quickly?

@@PeptoBismel I gave it a pass since it was the first movie but Adam got collectively fucked over as hard as the flammable jelly guy from the same movie. John trapped jelly guy for what amounted to a victimless crime. He was conning the exact same system he punished literally entire movies worth of victims over! "You collecting benefits like you sick so now you need to step on glass while trying to figure out a combination to get the antidote to a poison I gave to you". Mind you the combo for the safe was glow in the dark and wouldn't have illuminated the safe! Adam was an asshole but I was waiting for it to show how he was a habitual blackmailer and maybe was ruining innocent lives. Nope. His blackmail was for all intensive purposes preying on idiots who had no business doing what they were getting blackmailed over.
Both got giga screwed for preying on assholes more or less. I'd play an insurance/benefits company that goes above and beyond to deny assistance as well. While most people wouldn't blackmail others for cheating we need to remind ourselves, the guy was cheating! He wasn't a saint. I don't think getting trapped with the guy you blackmailing and left for dead is exactly a fair punishment. Yes and No... I believe you should look at IF the trap[s were not rigged to FAIL, could someone survive... And with some, Is the THEME appropriate!
Take the Insurance Man, Many will die - PERIOD... The question there is is the Theme in keeping with his punishment? Is the game FAIR based on his twisted logic?
Or, God Rest Him, Chester Bennington... The Car Trap - I forget what they called it... His character is a Criminal with a Gang who covers for him time and time again, Now their fate lies in his hands, If he cannot suffer his punishment and STOP the trap... They all die! Thematically does it fit and IS IT FAIR based on what they have all done?
Those two traps and more - People will DIE, There is no other option there! It will happen!
The one that bugged me for a long time was The Nerve Gas House... As Laura never actually got to see her trial - Maybe an oversight by Kramer... She was weaker and more susceptible to the Nerve Gas and he had not taken that into account... We never find out her role in everything, We never even see her trap - OR DO WE?
Yeah, The Razor Box was supposed to be hers... From what I have found online and seemingly confirmed by tweets and comments from the creators... But the idea was dropped for her as they already had too many deaths and it would mean a longer running time, So she was killed earlier and Maddison takes her place... Which is why you never see her look in the envelope, She throws it away... That Trap was not meant for her!
That one too many aspects were left to chance... It was VERY UNFAIR! OK, Thematically in keeping... But DAMN IT WAS UNFAIR!

The main flaw that both of John Kramer’s apprentices had is they didn’t truly understand the purpose he had for the tests/games. They thought it was just some sort of punishment for bad people but it was really to change their perspective on life. John noticed this which is why he tested both of them on occasion to see if they were worthy(which they obviously weren’t) to continue his work.

With the furnace trap, there was a way for Obi to survive. In Jigsaw’s message for him he said “once you’re in hell, only the devil can help you out.” By grabbing the second antidote in the furnace, yes the door closed, but there’s shot of a picture of a devil in the front door that says “turn” where there’s also a handle for him to turn, which presumably would turn off the fire, or open the door giving the people more time to get him out without him burning alive.
Also if you follow Jigsaw’s instructions, he doesn’t lie in his traps, (unless it’s Amanda or Hoffman) so doing what he requested would definitely work.

Though isnt a trap in general, but is one massive inaccuracy with that whole one, there's not one person who'd survive inhaling sarin gas for more than 20minutes (30 at most). For the simple reason it blocks a certain chemical from being released that essentially leaves the body's muscles in the on position, causing peoples muscle (every single one in the body) to cramp. Firstly would cause someone to get that severe cramps to the point they'd collapse, then not being able to breathe. A typical reason for death is asphyxiation since the muscles required to allow the lungs to work wouldn't work.

The reason for its invention was during Nazi Germany, they imported most of their crop pesticides knowing they'd likely not be able to import any since countries wouldn't be able to, or just outright wouldn't supply them to them anymore due to the regime. I think was Hitler who ordered least one chemist at a lab to create a form of pesticide little did he know had created a nerve agent as a result, felt rather ill after creating it which is why yeah.... and is named after (each character of the name sarin's a character from each one of their names) the people involved in its development.

@@redgunnit Yes as I mentioned in my previous comment I've never been able to make sense of that poor woman being in that trap. It's a plot point I could never ignore. I love the Saw franchise, I really truly do. But in all honesty, I prefer the first few movies to the more recent ones. I especially love the few that involved Lee Whannel and James Wan. I've always loved their vision of John Kramer's story and felt that plot wise, the story has since gone downhill. That's not to say there aren't things I enjoy about the more recent films, nor are the first few perfect movies by any means. But I really do believe the writers sort of lost touch with John and his ways, especially with his philosophy and personal standards. With such a complex, mission orientated character such as Jigsaw, it's almost unforgivable to have such a conflicting plot point in the film. But that's just my opinion. Despite it, it's a fun movie to watch, can't say I hate it, but if I ranked the films it'd be at the bottom.

A bit late to the party but you can 100% die from being scalped... The scalp essentially sits on a layer of loose connective tissue which allows you to raise your forehead in facial expressions. This loose tissue is filled with small blood vessels to provide a blood supply to the scalp. When the upper layers of the scalp are removed in a traumatic incident (as seen in scalping injuries), the connective tissue and the upper layers are separated opening all the small blood vessels causing significant blood loss if not treated immediately. Hope it helps!

My strategy would be first try to handle all the pain of ripping out the chains, then with it in my jaw, grab the nail bomb and throw it in a corner to break the jar and lower the deadliness of it, then use nearby desks to build a wall or shelter to protect me, and see if i survive and wait for medical help.

I'm not good enough at biology to be able to say if that gap could fit his jawbone through but it is possible. The unwinnable part, I imagine would be surviving the bomb going off, or receiving help in time if you break the bomb jar as no one would hear it explode and you'd quickly get weaker from bloodloss.

As someone born and raised in the midwest. The grain silo trap is a bit more dangerous than you may think. Unless you knew to cover your mouth submerging your head would kill you quicker. No only does the weight start to crush your body, but also the dust that gets kicked up would suffocate you as well. Falling into a grain silo is something you are taught about when you work on the warm. Basically you treat it like quick sand. You try not to move as much to avoid sinking faster, and you have to cover your mouth so that you don’t inhale all the dust 27:06

Not only does a single tea light provide very little light and he has no idea how to tell the combination from the other numbers even in the form of a cryptic clue, he is almost doomed to go up in flames. Also she could easily get out of it if she wasn't alone. Everyone in that house, apart from Amanda and the kid, were only out for themselves. If she didn't walk into that room completely alone, someone could have helped her get her hands out of the box. A big thing about the traps in the house is, kinda like in Saw V, they basically all would've been completely survivable if the people in the house worked together to get all of the antidotes for each person, and paid more attention to what they were doing and listened to the "rules" before jumping straight into just trying to get the antidote for themselves. But that would require trust and faith that others will help you if you help them first, which is a huge gamble when the more that time passes, the more the poison takes effect in each of their systems. They knew whoever got the first antidote had no reason to help anyone else get one, so they all resorted to every man for themselves and they all died because of it.

Gotta defend the nerve gas house from II! Furnace trap was totally winnable. It required turning around (albeit in a difficultly tight space, though the player was small) and crawling through some flames to turn off the gas valve. The longer you wait, the more flames emerge. If he'd quickly mind-over-mattered that it would have been an easy trap, +2 antidotes! Love the idea that is was meant to be an easier trap because that player 'helped jigsaw gather the others' and he still let his cowardice kill him.
It's a shame about the razor box trap. Like ya mentioned, she was delirious and didn't even bother reading the note for the game. We'll never know how that was meant to go, or if it truly was just a booby trap like the magnum eyehole😭

I hate the ones where you are just relying on someone else to save you. The only similar Jigsaw one had was Amanda’s where she could have made a small incision to get the key instead of stabbing the guy to death.
He wanted his victims that were being tested to survive even if it was on the brink of death. That’s why he helped Gordon, cause he would have bled to death. Amanda and Hoffman pretty much just liked the idea of karma, playing god, and seeing people die. Also forcing other to commit murder when their victims had no chance to save themselves. (Basically all traps of Saw 3, 6, and 7).
Cecil, the last two in the V trap, the girl who cut off her arm, were all like Gordon. Willing to get to the brink of death for just a chance of survival. Cecil was just stupid and killed himself after his trap. I like to think Kramer had his games set up so that people could survive after harming themselves in such ways, but he also had other murdered so he was unfair too. Just not as much.
Regardless, it is all still murder or attempted murder/harm. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Dont know my "favorite" but the merry go round always gets GOAT'd for me bc of how they were all turning on each other, lying, begging and crying until the dude deciding just broke. Such a wave of emotions in a few minutes

Congrats on the sponsor, so well deserved!!
I laughed at your tone of voice when you said "he failed, she dies; everyone dies." so bluntly! You are hilarious!
