for some reason i always find myself rewatching _House of Wax_ i think it’s so fun
I’ve been seeing House Of Wax getting some love finally and I’m so glad. I feel like it got tossed in the trash with a lot of similar type movies from that era and I’m so glad we’ve realized it’s such a fun movie.
1000% the movie did exactly what it was suppose to. Scare me when I'm watching it
The Descent is my all time favorite horror movie! Every person I date or become friends with who ask to watch a horror movie with me are forced to sit through this one. Also, it's 150% valid to skip the opening
Definitely one of the best modern horrors. I count modern being since 2000. I watch it about three or four times a year
Scared the 💩 out of me when I saw it in the cinema
Unrated or theatrical cut?
Definitely the version where she’s still in the cave thinking she is looking at the daughter over the birthday cake. The ambiguous ending @@prideferret-sb7hi
Definitely one of the worst modern horrors. No humor; No characters; No caring for no one. No real background story
Why does no one talk about Tucker and Dale vs Evil??? Love it as a rewatch!!
That one is so fun to rewatch lol
Such a fun watch.
Re watched it this Halloween - so awesome!!
This one and Shaun of the Dead are my go-to horror comedies.
Definitely a good rewatch
Last Night in Soho is the GO-TO comfort horror movie for me. The music, the costumes, the NOSTALGIA. I adore every single frame of the thing.
is it horror though?
@jackm2499 yes
Art horror
If you don’t know, everyone needs this film in their life.❤
@@jackm2499yup it is
I don't typically rewatch horror movies, but Trick 'r Treat is a must watch, every Halloween. Such a fun and unusual movie, perfect for the Halloween atmosphere.
Same! It's become a Halloween tradition since I first watched it several years ago
Agreed
Same! I love that it’s actually set on Halloween. And somehow the anthology style makes it feel more re-watchable - like they’re fun short stories!
Totally agree trick r treat is a lot of fun , disappointed the sequel never finally made it into production . Sami is the best
@@allisonheath1156the anthology setting was great but for me the reason with the female werewolves was the weaker part of the movie . As a huge fan of the lost boys that scene with the attack on the guys partying in the woods was so scary and brutal.
30 Days of Night is a good rewatch for me. Partly because the first time I literally watched the whole thing through the cracks in my fingers because it was SO SCARY
That film is so good, I loved this and have also watched it numerous times.
Excellent film!! 👌
The Hunger (1983) and Rosemary’s Baby(1968), works of art imo.
Trish …Ruth Gordon’s performance is my favorite scene in all film.
True, this channel for some reason focuses only on modern horror movies.
My list of most re-watched horror films:
-The Shining
-Ready or Not
-Happy Death Day
-The Wicker Man (the original)
-Death Proof (1/2 of Grindhouse)
-From Dusk till Dawn
-The entire Scream Franchise
HDD is one of my most rewatched as well. Along with Cabin in the Woods and Anna and the Apocalypse (especially around Christmas).
I love how unafraid you are to show that you don't care what's 'popular' or 'well reviewed'. Your favorite movies are totally personal. It makes me like...wanna see these movies more because they all seem to mean a lot to you.
I LOVE sorority row. It’s so iconic to me. I can’t believe it’s rated so low??? It’s so entertaining and all the characters are fun. I love how much attitude the blond has, and the lead is a likeable character. And, like you said, the kills are fun. My favorite is the one with the wine bottle.
Came for the horror, stayed for the cat 😂
😂😂
My rewatches are typically my comfort films; the Final Destination franchise, House of Wax (00’s version), The Descent, Alien, Grave Encounters etc.
Something about them is sooo rewatchable to me. I also find myself going back to the Chernobyl Diaries now and then and I’m with you, I think it’s an enjoyable movie!
Yes for House of Wax and The Descent! Soo entertaining every time
House of Wax deserves more love!
Yes you should watch Dog Soldiers!
Fantastic film.
I honestly struggle so much with rewatching things I am usually a one and done watcher unless the movie is really complex then I will rewatch to understand the story. I think Scream is the only franchise I can happily rewatch multiple times and never tire of it, another is probably The Craft which is maybe more horror adjacent but that movie I never tire of.
gone girl, cloverfield , evil dead 2013, ginger snaps, & X and pearl are my most rewatched horror(ish) movies!
tasteee
The original Evil Dead trilogy would be in my top ten.
evil dead 2013 is my fav horror!
The Descent is one of my top two favourite horror movies of all time. I love it when the horror comes from realistic places (in this case spelunking and claustrophobia). It's also one of the few movies that has actually made me react while watching, either it's finding it difficult to breathe or just jumping in my seat as the girls are chased. It's just so fucking good. 10/10, would recommend with highest praise
some of these are more thrillers than horror but mine : Hereditary, Train To Busan, Conjuring, The Descent, Silent Hill, Cabin In The Woods, Final Girls, Circle, Would You Rather, It, Split and Black Swan. plus some Saw movies I've seen multiple times too
Dog Soldiers is so good. I recommend it
My most watched horror movie is "Rogue", an Australian film with a big crocodile in it. It's a lot of fun and I highly recommend
I love your channel even though we rarely ever agree on things. 😂 I’d say my comfort movies are The Exorcist, The Exorcist 3 (believe it or not), Alien, The Thing, Hellraiser, The Wicker Man (original), The Shining (every Xmas for some weird reason?), The Changeling, and Scream because it’s my son’s fav and he watches it like, ten times a year.
my comfort watch is Hereditary, which is another movie I think is much better on multiple viewings! Darkness Falls used to be another one of my favorite rewatches as a kid, because my aunt had the dvd and probably watched it at least once a month haha
I always welcome the kitty joining!
So interesting how Hereditary can be someone’s “comfort watch”. This movie made me SWEAT
@@luthebong I don't know what it is, it just perfectly mirrors what's going on somewhere in my brain, maybe. now MIDSOMMAR...... THAT'S a movie I've only been able to watch once lmao
You MUST see "Dog Soldiers"!!! It's AWESOME!!! Great Story and characters are so much fun. You'll LOVE it!!!
Even though it only came out last year X is easily one of my most rewatched horror films! And two of my most rewatched horror films are remakes that I'd never seen the original to - Prom Night and When a Stranger Calls. Not justifying those films are necessarily good, however, but just comfy to me.
Near Dark and Predator always work for me. The Faculty is up there as well.
I would say my most re-watched horror movies are Alien and Aliens, The Crazies and The Conjuring. But, I re-watch all the movies I love.
I can definitely rewatch anything. From having my faves in the background while doing other stuff or sitting and paying attention as if I’m watching for the first time. lol
My top three horror/comfort rewatches.
Friday the 13th (original, my #1 fave horror movie of all time)
Ghost Ship
Thirteen Ghosts
A cure for wellness is my joint favorite film of all time (alongside donnie darko). The score, the visuals, everything about it is stunning.
As for horrors I rewatch alot - remake of when a stranger calls, final destination 3 and a haunting in Connecticut. They are simple easy watches I no i'm going to love everytime.
Kubrick's masterpiece The Shining(symbolism), The Ring (cinematography), Alien (Giger), Possession (Isabelle Adjani's Subway sequence) and The Descent (atmosphere).
The Conjuring, The Exorcist, Halloween and Hellraiser are my most re-watched Horror movies...
Omg! L😊ve a good rewatch! The Shining, You’re Next, It Follows, and any of the Scream films are all top tier rewatches for me!
Love the video idea! :)
Mine are: *Midsommar, Would you rather, Old, Silent night, Get out, Cam, Bodies bodies bodies, The sixth sense, The loved ones, I spit on your grave* (original and first remake), and *Influencer* from this year i can see myself re-watching multiple times in the future.
I feel so weird rewatching I spit on your grave but I found someone else !!
@@shesjustbeingbrianne Haha, so underrated in my book!
So I had the same experience with The Ring. It really messed me up. Im in my 40s and only just started watching horror the last few years because of that movie. My top horror rewatches are the Conjuring and Silence of the Lambs.
Sorority Row is so underrated! Most people either hate it or havent seen it.
i rewatch A TON! house on haunted hill (1999), the faculty, and the entire saw franchise are some of my go tos
omg i was so happy when you mentioned the descent!!! that's one of my frequent horror watches too! it's so good
Dog Soldiers IS AWESOME!! You HAVE to watch it! The only 'spoilers' I'd give are that there isn't a lot of gore, there are no kids getting killed, and there are no animals killed on screen - though you do see a cow corpse. Oh, and just in case it matters, it's VERY British.
Love this video and it's so fun to see people talk about their most rewatched stuff rather than just new things! I totally agree with you on Silent Hill and Cabin in the Woods being such easy rewatches, same for me too! I know you're not a fan of Renfield but that became a big comfy watch for me this year and I've definitely rewatched a lot of older horror stuff loads like The Faculty and Final Destination movies.
i think Get Out is my most rewatched horror movie! i love rewatches, i especially love showing movies to people who have never seen them before. i think all of jordan peele’s movies make great rewatches, i also have rewatched bodies bodies bodies a couple of times and can see that becoming a regular rewatch for me- that’s definitely a movie i think i liked better the second time i watched it.
Agree, Jordan Peele and Ari Aster are almost guaranteed to deliver excellence.
I love your videos so much! They are very comforting to me. Happy new year!!
My all-time fav rewatches include The Descent, 13 Ghosts, The Ring, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Hills Have Eyes, and all of the Scream franchise !
Good list. I thumbs up
Have you ever watched monsters from 2010? I feel like no one ever speaks about it its so good imo
Monsters is so good! Definitely deserves more love.
Nice to see Last Night In Soho on your list!
Mine would be A Nightmare On Elm Street (1984), Poltergeist (1982), The Evil Dead (1981), Hellraiser (1987), The Exorcist (1973), Lost Highway (1997) and Black Swan (2010). The last two aren't always considered as 'horror', but for me they definitely are.
Randomly watched Chernobyl diaries when I was home with a migraine for the first time, ended up really enjoying it. Surprised to see it on here! Also, for what it's worth, love your channel! You seem super chill and I find your thoughts on horror movies intriguing. Got me watching lots of the A24 movies lately.
Loveee The Descent
I am a Holly Hartley stan!!! I do remember being disappointed leaving the theater because I wanted more, but it did not and has not stopped me from going back time and time again to watch it. I love it. Also, I don't feel as if your channel as been negative, I like that you're honest about how you feel about the current state of horror. I appreciate it. I also appreciate this video! We have a lot of the same rewatches :)
i swear you said all the movies i love and rewatch every year :D your horror movie taste is amazing! sorority row has been my favourite since i was a teen!
The Decent 100% is my top re-watchable horror!
Yeaaahhh hmmmmmm what else DID gore verbinski direct.. how about uhh, PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN?? I know it’s not a horror movie but it’s a pretty HUGE movie lol
Pirates is the only other thing so far I love from him. We gotta give credit to his inspirations tho. That Diseny ride😂
This is such a cozy video; I like seeing your presentation of DVDs!
Last Night in SoHo is much more interesting the second time around, knowing how it all ends. My favorite rewatches are Mulholland Dr., As Above So Below, Evil Dead 2 and probably… Idle Hands lol
I regularly rewatch Suspiria (2018), Midsommar and Gone Girl. All time favs :) I used to be really into the first Alien, I need to revisit it sometime.
I just discovered this channel…your content is stuff I always think about in my head…with that said…I’m subscribing!
The Descent is already a CLASSIC
My most rewatched horror are Alien, Aliens (these two in particular i rewatch an insane amount of times!) original Halloween plus a few of the sequels, original Poltergeist, original Nightare on Elm street as well as most of the sequels, the entire Scream series, I've also watched The Ring and Silent Hill many times as well. Chernobyl Diaries too lol. I can't help but like that movie. Also, What Lies Beneath and The Hills Have Eyes remake
What Lies Beneath scared the mess out of me as a kid😂
Love the Descent and Sorority Row for a rewatch!! My other go-to’s are It, The Hunt, Us, Conjuring 2, Friday the 13th (2009), PA The Marked Ones and What We Do In The Shadows.
I cried when you brought up The Descent!!! Its my fav. movie of all time and I can rewatch it everyday !!! Love you
We're blessed to have you omg
I love The Ring, 13 ghosts, The Descent, Silent Hill- so I know I'm gonna love your other faves- can't wait to watch Last Night in Soho
Love these picks!
I will NEVER accept Sorority Row slander. It is a perfect movie to me and always will be. The cast (like THE Carrie Fisher are you kidding me??!!), the setting, the plot, the suspense, the kills, just epic. But this was the first time hearing about the tweet you mentioned about a possible sequel and tears actually started pooling in my eyes. The way the first one ended it always called for a sequel and I've been waiting YEARS for it so please let it be true 😭 I'm always so happy when I hear you talk about this movie though because it deserves so so so much more love in my opinion it will always be an underrated gem and I will never understand the hate it gets
sorority row will forever be my comfort movie 🥰😇
Ever since you introduced May I loved it at first watch and it’s now become such a comfort movie
“The others” I can watch it at least once a year or more, i just love it!!
I love the Haunting of Molly Hartley and have rewatched as well. Ring is a classic, agreed with you on that too.
I love horrors but I don't have many in my collection at the moment, I just got back into collecting again but like yourself I can re-watch movies over and over again. Also just started a channel on my room and what Blu-rays/ DVD I have at the moment. Loved the video
Its good to see british horror on your list,my fav comfort horror is conjuring universe, the screams, cabin in the woods, shaun of the dead insidious, the ring, original halloween, session 9
The first two Hellraiser movies and Dog Soldiers are absolutely comfort movies for me. Following that, the first three Nightmare flicks, the Exorcist (I and III), and the Evil Dead (original and remake).
Great list! Definitely check out Dog Soldiers. It's been one of my faves since I saw it as a teenager. The creature design still scares me as an adult.
the sorority row soundtrack is soooo good too. i bought it on itunes in middle school and it's still in heavy rotation
Yes, please do a comparison of the original 13 ghosts and the remake 😊
A lot of these movies are so good! The ring is one of my top favourite ones too for sure. It’s always so good
one of my favorite comfort rewatches is the rage: carrie 2.
i’ll never forget the ending scene startling me so much that my scream rang out in the very hushed theater. 😅
The Ring is such a beautiful film, I watch it a lot too even though it scared the crap out of me the first time.
Yea todays kids will never know the impact it had back in 2002. I can’t believe Samara is the girl who played Lilo
This is a cool list. I've never really thought about what horror movies I've rewatched the most. I supposed for me some of the ones I've rewatched the most are more because they've just been around longer, like Jaws, The Shining, Poltergeist, the Alien trilogy, or things like Evil Dead 1&2, and the first two Hellraisers (I think these would probably win for THE most). The more modern ones I've rewatched the most, though are probably Cube (probably wins for my most "comfort" horror), The Ring, The Witch, and Level 16. However, some that I just finally bought recently that I know will become very rewatched include The Descent, Last Night in Soho, The Menu, and Train to Busan.
My most rewatched horror Alien, Aliens, and The Ring. Thank you for showing your physical media!!
My most rewatched horror movie is probably Final Destination 3, because it’s the best one of the series obviously and also I own the dvd where you can choose different events and it’ll effect how the movie goes and it’s just so much fun and such a 2006 thing I love it. Also “Drag me to hell” because it’s so funny (and so underrated) imo
Loved your list, have never watched your videos before, but I definitely agree with a lot of your choices and why. 13 goes I love me some Matthew Lillard.❤
this is such an iconic list, p.s. thank you for reminding me about the existence of sorority row, I watched it when I was WAY too young and it scared the life out of me so I can't wait to rewatch and laugh
I'm definitely gonna need to check out Last Night in Soho, it seems right up my alley! For me, I'm always happy to rewatch any of Hammer's gothic horrors, but especially Twins of Evil. I could watch it hundreds of times and not get bored of it.
Much better! I’m glad you’re feeling better 😊😂
Ghost Ship and 13 Ghosts are definitely up there on my rewatchable list too! The Descent is sooooo good. It's rewatchable for me too, but not frequently. It's more of a once every couple of years kinda films for me.
I have The Ring on VHS as well!!! One of my most treasured possessions ❤
The Descent and Session 9 come to mind for me. And Malignant is my new classic I've been watching at least once per year since it was released. I also watch the 70's Invasion of the Body Snatchers occasionally. Rewatching Train to Busan as my Sunday morning movie
Thanks, got loads of recommendations from this! My most rewatched horror movie is definitely Scream (the original version).
i like your list! so happy Last Night in Soho and Sorority Row are on there, they're two of my favourites.
for me, my most rewatched would be the Saw series (particularly the first), Final Destination series, Scream series, Resident Evil series (particularly the first two), Evil Dead series and Perfect Blue. and also the comedies like Tucker & Dale, Happy Death Day, Scary Movie, The Cornetto Trilogy etc.
i have a lot of ones i've seen that i need to rewatch though so maybe they'll become the most in the future lol
One of my recent rewatches/comfort movies has been I’m Thinking of Ending Things. The first time i watched it, It made no sense to me and i had to watch explanation videos. I also listened to the audiobook before finally deciding to rewatch it. Somehow it gets better and better every time now lol
I can understand too! I rewatch the Scream franchise all the time. Some may point as controversial but The Exorcist I rewatch everytime I find it on a streaming service.
Your love for Last Night In Soho brings me so much joy. I feel alone in my love for Last Night in Soho boat 😩
With the exception of The Ring, Blair Witch, and Thirteen Ghosts, I agree with EVERYTHING else. A lot of those are comfort watches.
My favorite movies to rewatch are Wrong Turn 1 and 2, Chynobal Diaries, X, The Descent, Final Destination movies. I love the Love Witch for the 60s aesthetic/vibes and the dialogue. I just adore everything about that movie. I am a huge fan of late 90s and 2000s movies. It's nostalgia at its finest for me ❤️
This upload has really cemented to me that we have *identical* horror tastes. Everything on here, totally agree!!
I LOVE Cabin in the Woods. One of my favorite movies of all time. I am not a fan of most horror movies, but this movie. Perfect piece of art. Also one that is better on the rewatch for me, even though the twist is revealed. You just catch something new each watch. I’ll have to check out some of the other movies you recommend. My list is Cabin in the Woods, Tucker and Dale vs. Evil, Trick ‘r Treat, Evil Dead 2 (1987).
im currently in the middle of silent hill with like 40 minutes left and you just encouraged me to finish it and then also rewatch it 😭
First time seeing one of your videos that I know of lol… I totally agree with The Ring. I have rewatched it countless times since it came out 20 years ago. Besides its entertainment value (which I acknowledged as a 12 year old) I’ve grown up to really take in how well done it is from a story telling standpoint; Visuals, style, and of course the acting. Naomi Watts is perfect. Just got to the part in your video where you talk about Silent Hill. Agree with that as well. So good.
My most rewatched horrors are Carrie and The Shining.
My most rewatched is Paranormal Activity and was surprised it wasn't on this list. You've made me want to go watch The Ring again though.
Also, Aliens and The Sixth Sense snd The Village but those might be more Thrillers than Horror.
I absolutely live the Descent. I'm going to have to go back and watch it. Will also have to give Silent Hill a second watch too.
All definitely great comfort horror flicks! Mine include In the Mouth of Madness, The Fog, Halloween III SOTW, the IT miniseries, the original Suspiria and Dawn of the Dead, The Burbs, and Wes Craven's New Nightmare.
I watched The Chirnobole Diaries and The Haunting of Molly Hartley because you talked about them so often and we usually have similar tastes, and I really didn’t like them. But I love that you love them. Every movie has people that work hard and put a lot of effort in, even if the end result is ridiculed and forgotten. And I love you find so much enjoyment in movies that are not critically acclaimed or for everyone. You’ve recommended some of my favorite movies to me (the Decent) and even when I don’t love your recommendation, I still like the ride and seeing a movie that someone has so much love and nostalgia for.
Love seeing your cat! I have so many of these same films on my regular rewatch list. Believe it or not, I also frequently rewatch the original Exorcist! Last Night in Soho is a perfect movie. The image of the lighthouse in The Ring, is the Yaquina Head lighthouse in my hometown of Newport Oregon. Another perfect movie.
Love all of these movies crazy how similar are tastes are. Definitely love rewatching movies and tv shows rather than watching new ones😊
Been watching your channel for some time....because of the reviews of movies to talk about I havre Been able to increase my collection
