Bay Harbor Golf Club (Links/Quarry) - Golf Course Review - Michigan

Bay Harbor Golf in Northern Michigan is one of the best Public Golf Facilities in America and is getting my rating of a Must Play Course. A perfect addition to any northern Michigan golf trip, especially since it is a reasonable distance from another Must play course, Arcadia Bluffs. The course is another great course by one of my favorite and underrecognized golf architects Arthur Hills. The course offers three nines, all with different terrains, but the best combination is the Links and Quarry. I would easily consider this course the Pebble Beach of Michigan, with so many great holes along Lake Michigan, which visually is so vast it is like looking at the ocean. The Links gets a lot of attention with its Scottish-style links, but my favorite nine is the Quarry Course which is a truly unique experience as you play great golf holes descending into a quarry until you arrive yet again back at beautiful Lake Michigan. Northern Michigan has so many great golf courses you course take multiple trips and never play the same courses twice but Bay Harbor is a course you will want to enjoy over and over again.
