Bay Harbor is a district within the city limits of Petoskey located on Lake Michigan's Little Traverse Bay. It is an ultra-luxury community. Property owners there are from all over the world. But the majority of them are connected to wealthy families from Chicago, Detroit and Grand Rapids. Bay Harbor has an equestrian center, three golf courses, a village core with shops and eateries and a deep harbor capable of facilitating super-yachts.
Michigan has 3200 miles of Great Lakes coastline dotted with dozens of communities ranging from quaint resort towns with sandy beaches (South Haven, Saugatuk, Sanilac) to more rugged locations with cliffs and rocky coast (Marquette, Munising). Then there are the wealthy coastal towns (the Grosse Pointes, Harbor Springs, Traverse City) with very exclusive waterfront neighborhoods like Bay Harbor.
