Top 5 should also include the ability to be consistent in the Playoffs. Luka doesn't control tempo on defense, Tatum is a coin toss past 2nd round, Embiid has consistently choked. Giannis has a ring, Joker, and Bron too, they're 123 imo.

I disagree that Bron didn’t have this last season … Bron is so great that we quickly forget what work he puts in because we be so captured by the moment. Last season before Brons foot injury, on his road to the scoring title he was BALLIN! just like this… Now you give him a early season goal to be the first to attach his name to the in season tourney, and you get to see how good he is… Bron is definitely still a beast! He’s just old and he gets tired way quicker than when he was younger…it’s a stamina issue for Bron. You often see him gasping for air, or signaling to come out the game. But when he got a goal (short burst goal) he can get the job done! … look what he did in game 4 vs Denver. He went for 40! …Bron skill is still there, it’s solely about him getting too tired and that’s just cuz he’s old with all that mileage on his body!

When you're talking about to 5 you're talking about consistency. That's why AD is never talked about in the top 5 because of his inconsistency. There is no player in the league more consistent than Lebron. He leaves his stamp on every game on both ends. And he has the stats. If Lebron had a game like Giannis in the in season tournament they'd crucify him but yet Giannis is often placed over Lebron in top 5 rankings.
He plays no defense compared to AD .. AD is more consistent than him if you take both offense/defense. He's a greatly consistent offensive player, with a great FG%, I'll give you that. But Giannis can do both much better on both ends., he's the most consistent in the league. SGA is better too, he's winning with similar talent around and has better stats. Same with Jokic, Embiid, Haliburton and even Luka. Lebron is better than Durant, on same level with Booker and Tatum. He is 100% top 10, but not top 5.

Lebron and Jokic are the only Swiss-army-knives that can do a bit of everything. Even moreso Lebron because he can still guard 1-5 in high leverage situations. Best playmakers are Lebron & Jokic. Definitely wouldn't take Curry over Lebron you can always find a shooting specialist. Embiid is debatable not so much because he's better but because their is a glaring void at the Center position in the NBA. Most Centers are either undersized or weak/skinny and have no strength, on top not being very skilled either. Embiid & Jokic are literally the only Centers that aren't undersized or weak/skinny and actually have respectable skills.

With that being said the in season tournament was RIGHT NOW, and he won mvp over a guy (AD) who is even considered top 10 or 5 when he plays well. His stats just for the in season tournament was insane and if you saw how bad the Lakers/Bron wanted the trophy, and if you saw any of the games, Bron was hella energetic, making defensive play: steals and deflects, and he even was shooting the 3 with 60% efficiency those 7 games. They did not lose once and beat the Pacers with ease who just put a whooping on Giannis/Dame in the Bucks. The thing is regular season games, he occasionally puts that type of effort which is what people do not like. But end of the day he is the best there is right now. If AD plays like he did game 7, AD is the best. Then maybe Giannis and Joker. Joker is great, but his non athletic ass bugs me. Plus he doesnt play as great of defense as others on the list. Giannis is a force, but he does not have the outside shooting touch as Lebron. Just watch his highlights for the in season tournament and youll see his effort.

If we only consider the season's first 20 games, then Tyrese Haliburton is among the top 5. Garnett cooking Pierce is the best part. LOL. I am not a Lebron fan, but man. When the rubber needs to meet the road and the games matter. He shows up and balls out. He's top 5 for sure. Doncic is a top 5 point producer. But not a top 5 player til he starts winning meaningful games. And Doncic is my fav player, but lets be real. Winning gotta mean something. Balling out when the games matter, has to mean something. Lebron shows up when the lights are brightest and his team wins. Hence the IST win. If any other team won, they'd kill Lebron and celebrate the IST. But because Lebron won, now it's kinda looked at as whatever.
I'm a big Celtics fan, but if Lebron was on this squad, instead of Tatum, I think the rest of the league could just pack it up and head home for the season. Lebron facilitating for Brown and Porzingis, with Holiday and White spreading the floor? Get out of here. That's an all-time squad. C's also loaded with hustle guys on the bench, no one for Lebron to get mad at.
In the reverse, Tatum's game would work very well on the Lakers, but Lebron's leadership is the only thing keeping that team together, and JT just doesnt have that yet, and might never, he's just real laid back.
I think it's nuts putting Luka in the top 5, personally; if Tatum is fringe in a lot of people's minds, he is at least a capable stopper and a monster rebounder, on top of being a genuinely staggering scorer; Luka is an offensive marvel, and that's it. Dude's a traffic cone, and it only gets worse when the games matter. Jokic, Embiid, Giannis all pretty plainly on top. Personally I have it Jokic, Embiid, Lebron, Tatum, Giannis. I had JT and Giannis swapped at the beginning of the season, but Giannis is not playing his best ball, and seems unusually absent when it counts.
