I think the haters were actually antis disguising as fans iirc. Many c-carats (again iirc, majority of the hate came from chinese "fans" and the rumor started there) has made a claim that it was an anti group and it was planned along with the alleged gf[who was said to be employed by a chinese company and used svt as a publicity stunt]. The "dating proofs" were also debunked cause they don't match the dates their taken, posted and whatnot. It's just the matching outfits making it seem their "dating".
The claims [also the c-carats debunking] are all on twitter&tiktok and I don't use twitter&tiktok; interested people should look there.
PS: There are also actual carats who sent hate but it wasn't as big and horrible as people made it out to be. Every fandom will have bad apples, always, specially if they get bigger.
Majority of actual carats I saw were happy and even joking about that Svt finally got another dating scandal and that they're not bitchless 😅.

My Opinion on this is:
You shouldn't compare each fan with each other in the Fandom. Every fandom has this toxic people but also every fandom has kind and really nice people. The larger the fandom, the more toxic people it has. But also the larger the fandom, the more kind people it does have.
Treat each other nicely and with respect. And if someone doesn't do it just ignore him/her.
What I experienced is that most of the toxic stuff is in the internet. But every Fan i met in reallife at concerts (And I've been to 16 concerts in the last 2 years) was so sweet and nice. So yeah
In the end of the day we all love the same thing. And that is being broke for our Idols💀

the atiny comment is definitely accurate as an atiny. most of the fans i’ve met are very sweet and just genuinely like them and their music, but some of them are actually insane and those ones are usually san(mingi sometimes too) biases(ahem sannie4luv) :( i just feel bad because the crazy people tend to cross the line and objectify them constantly which is super uncomfortable and gives us a bad rep. i think the rest of the fandom kind of balances it out because i’ve literally never seen a solo for any of the other members and in general they tend to be pretty nice

Mys, Bunnies, and Babymonster fans are the new Blinks fr... everyone copied aespa, NewJeans, and Babymonster according to them. These three fandoms also contribute a lot to the Le Sserafim, ILLIT, and IVE hate trains too. I use to be a Blink and a Neverland, and now a Swith and I can honestly say that there's a big difference in each of these fandoms. SWITHs are mostly genuinely nice people.
Orbits are liars and it’s funny when it’s a harmless lie but it can get weird(as an Orbit myself) for example the billionaire lesbians meme from a couple years ago was SO funny and a nice evolution of the origin of the meme from WJSNs Mei Qi and Xuan Yi.(who I believe where the originators of the meme back in 2017) but sometimes it just is too far(the shipping wars are scary)
+ I won't forget how orbits said Idle is IS or pig meme.

I saw some Rora solo Stan doing the same to Rami and Pharita. I understand Rora is a great vocalist and deserve more lines but you don't have to bring down Rami for that. Definitely most Baemon stans are solo stans. You have solos stans for all the member and toxicity in all of them. The more peaceful I come across was Rami solos stans maybe because she is the less biased.
Ahyeon is definitely the most hated for what I see but she also got the most solos stans. And while I agree some of them are the worst they are not the only one with toxic behavior i come across

I think a prominent problem in the kpop fandom is just everyone being too chronically online (me included). Lots of people use Kpop as escapism and completely immerse themselves in it.

Other fandoms before comebacks: endless fan wars
InSomnias: driving around Seoul for the entire day to seven stations (on a map it makes a crown shape) to be airdropped mystery codes to solve, to figure out release dates and possible title track names
(Btw how are Teumes worse than engines, as someone who only uses tiktok as social media? The worst of them just complain that people ranking them are biased against them, meanwhile some engenes still are attacking and mocking yoshi's dad bc he passed away. Most of the time, if we are in fan wars it's bc we are the punching bags and are dragged into it (any and every yg group is))
People always forget good side of us like till now i didn't find a single teumes hating on other groups they just demand proper treatments for treasure and they deserve it because they are so talented, teames even help and support babymonster they are just so sweet ❤ as a babymon i support them
yg stan’s in general are a very special case. most times they only stan groups from yg and are just quite annoying about things especially on youtube.
however i really haven’t seen much of that these days. i rly like treasures music when i first heard it, but the fandom deterred me from checking them out further. nowadays they don’t really attack people or go outside of their little yg bubble

all kpop fandoms have good and bad sides, unfortunately, the bad tends to overshadow the good 😭 I'm a multi stan too but mainly a once and bunny, it shocks me how some of us bunnies can't read and we've gotten such a bad reputation from the whole 'I'll it is copying newjeans' situation, which is absolutely pathetic. And as a bunny over the age of 14 its sad that I have to teach my fellow younger bunnies how to read and respect others opinions 😭💕

yeah i think a lot of the issue is that a ton of stays are very young. they’re kind of like the new army imo because a lot of army grew up but stays haven’t yet
there are some stay accounts that usually triggering other fandoms in the worse way possible and when that happen and the other fandom reply they all flock to attack. I see more people that hate stays than Stray Kids cause to be fair even if you not a fan you have no reason to hate the group, but lots of the stuff targetting skz many times are caused because the fandom unfortunally.

I just need to say that, as a HUGE stay, there is something about that fandom, they disproportionately have by FAR the worst taste in their own group's music of any fandom. As an Insomnia since 2020, I can tell you that even an A is underrating this fan community. Dreamcatcher stans are arguably the most positive, welcoming fanbase in the history of K-pop, partially because the group members themselves are so kind and open-minded and partially because of the underdog mentality. Watching your favorite group be increasingly amazing at performance, yet struggle for years to get any recognition has brought the fans closer together and just makes us happy anytime someone new recognizes how good Deukae really is.

I’ve seen a lot of crap go down in the Insomnia fandom but it’s (mostly) kept in the fandom because it has to do with the companies lazy attempts to promote the group, concert tour locations & MMT, or whether a dc song is rock or not. Fandom fights rarely happen but when they do, it’s mostly about the rock genre… other than that, we are gay and proud all day.
Which is authentic, because there’s nothing more metal than arguing over which of the 100+ subgenres a song belongs in, whether that makes it objectively inferior to *insert subgenre here*, and complaining that the presence of a single electronic element makes it Not Metal and makes the band a total sellout (while still buying show tickets lmfao). I love Insomnias because they act a bit more like a metal fandom than a kpop one, actually.
As InSomnia since debut, i agree with you. But the drama between the fandom and company are really not big. For the rock genre, i have to agree. Some prefer the debut era rock style, some prefer current style, some want full rock album, some want mix genre album, some says it's a rock songs, some says it's not. It's annoying, yes but trust me as a fan of rock and metal, these debate or argument in rock genre are completely normal among rock fandom. Up untill to this day, the metal fans are still argue whether Linkin Park and Slipknot are metal or not😅

With the upcoming comeback being so different, it's the first time I've seen swith actually being vocal which is great to see as STAYC have been unfortunately getting a bit behind in popularity, especially internationally for some reason because honestly, it's been getting harder and harder to find Swiths.
In fact, other multistans like me have voiced the fact that there are barely any of them on Twitter, which I believe is a good thing. I've honestly only seen Swith being very nice and sweet so it's great

Which is a big reason why I like them the most.
