  • Workout With Me: At-Home Ski Season Lower Body and Core Prep!
Hi everyone, long time no vid! This video is a Workout With Me doing a circuit of some lower body and core moves I’ve been doing to prep for a few ski trips. These moves are great in this circuit format with little to no equipment but the moves can also be used in the gym to add more resistance and mix in with your current program. The workout itself is under 30 mins and I used my Bala Bangles for a little extra resistance on my wrists and ankles. I can’t wait to make even more videos in 2024 and I hope you are all having a wonderful holiday season! As always, let me know what you think in the comments as well as what else you want to see here on my channel. Enjoy :)

Sometime over a year ago you had lasik eye surgery which you spoke about in a video done at the time. You should consider doing a one year update of how your eyesight is now and if you had any complications. In the comments you did say that after 5 months your were still having issues when driving at night with your eyes. You blamed it on possibly being from doing computer work all day. I'm a retired optician and have spoken with quite few patients that had lasik done. On the whole they were mostly very pleased with the outcome of their surgery. But they were also experiencing issues with their vision when driving at night. Our doctor refracted their eyes and prescribed them with glasses which I fitted them with. Only a weak prescription mostly just for driving and any other things they felt they needed glasses for. I am curious if your doctor has suggested glasses to you to resolve your night vision issue? One thing you mentioned in that video which surprised me was that you were only told to wear your glasses for a few days before your surgery. Prior to your lasik consultation you seemed to be wearing contacts pretty much all the time. Based on your previous videos of course. Most doctors insist on at least a 10 - 14 days without contacts before surgery. When you wear contacts they form a ridge where they sit on your corneas that ridge needs to be smoothed out for the best results of lasik. I'm not sure a few days would be nearly enough time for the ridges to become smooth enough for surgery. Also another factor that's necessary for best results is the length of time from when you last needed an increase in your glasses / contacts. Most doctors feel the longer the better. but never less than a year. Most prefer that it be 18 months or more. Now your young, very attractive and it may not be long before you get married and start trying go have kids. I doubt that you have been told that approximately 50% of pregnancies will effect the eyesight of a woman. If you happen to be in that 50% group it will effect your eyes and and you will be back wearing glasses again. Only this time your glasses would be much weaker. You no doubt were given a lifetime warranty that if your eyesight should ever worsen tyou could get what is called a "touch-up" which is actually just redoing lasik again. But what they tend to fail to mention is that risk factor for that touch-up is considerably more than when you had it done the first time. Also Ii believe they can't do a touch-up until your eyesight reaches -1.25 or -1.50. But for now if your still not quite seeing as well as you feel you should be you should have a talk with your doctor about fitting you with glasses.
