We all know that MTV are influencers and the drama is bad for teens to be drinking and basically Kristen and Stephen are manipulating one another I can’t believe I watched this as a kid... I lived in LA and it’s just a bunch of brats born in a coven.... I would make a better show than this if I was filmed but I am in Kansas now... I actually do adventures and not boy girl drama

I read an interview where she said she was a mess inside after she watched season 1 and the scenes she didn’t know about with him and Lauren. And that she made it look like she had it all together but she didn’t really lol.

I rewatch these every few years and each time I have a different “understanding” of the drama. When I was young I was SO against Kristin and like hated her and just wanted Stephen to leave her. But now when I watch I realize that Stephen was just drawn to Kristin and followed his feelings. I also think LC should have stopped chasing Stephen because there’s no signal that he wants her like that. Kristin is not a villain, she’s a girl who’s just trying to enjoy life while dealing with someone else constantly chasing her bf - I’d be a bitch to.
Absolutely! I thought the same thing about Kristin back then but she was actually incredibly cool and confident and liberated. She admits she wouldn't want Stephen to hook up with anyone in Cabo but then says she technically wouldnt mind bc she wants to hook with someone too and enjoy the trip. You almost never see teenage girls in control like that and not pining away for some guy who's actually the one being aloof. Shes iconic.

He seemed to go to Lauren when he was on the outs with Kristin because he knew Lauren would be into it and because he knew it would make Kristin mad. Eileen Kristen was interviewed on this a couple of years ago. She set the record straight. The love triangle was real but MTV egged it on and took advantage of all 3 of them. That MTV was the reason for there break up because they pushed the Lauren drama and put Steven in situations he would never have put himself in for the show. Or that he would never have done anything to make her uncomfortable. That Kristin was trying to be mature about it but she was also a teenager and you can only take so much. Her and Lauren made amends when the show ended but she never hated her. It was just the classic other woman trying to move in thing.
