Agree but i actually think Alex should've stepped up and said oh yeah i know i asked you to formal but i think you should go with your gf jessica. @@alexandrasotto625 I think it was fake to an extent but for the most part, in comparison to a show like The Hills, it was real. However no one has ever spoken on the ârealnessâ of the Jessica-Jason-Alex love triangle, everything was focused on the Kristin-Lauren-Stephen relationship.
That happened to me when I was in high school,a guy asked me to a dance and then I started dating someone but my mom made me go to the dance with the guy I already said yes to and that was in 1981.

I remember when I first watched the limo scene. I really thought there was going to be a physical altercation resulting with a drunk Jason hitting Jess after she grabbed him. I realize now she only grabbed him because he got his keys and was about to drive. They were so toxic!

They definitely had a toxic relationship but Jason had some serious issues. Rewatching this made me feel for Jessica. She was so insecure about herself and her relationship with Jason and clung so hard to kee him regardless of how much he would hurt her emotionally. Watching this in my preteen years, I also did not realize that Jessica tried holding Jason back to stop him from driving home drunk. She really did care for him no matter how volatile they both were together. I know when Lauren was dating Jason, she had to pick him up at the clubs countless times because he was too drunk or too high to get himself home. Iâm glad he finally got the help he needed and that everyone has grown up from all of this.

I always wondered why she wasnât in the intro too! I agree, she was in more scenes than some of the main characters. Anyone else think she gave off Peyton Sawyer from one tree hill vibes?
Right?! She was on screen about the same or maybe even a bit more than Jessica was. But the drama with Jessica and Jason was a good story for them so I think thatâs why they gave Jessica a spot in the intro over Alex. They just treated her like Kristens side kick rather than an actual character on the show.
I never found any of the guys in the Laguna Beach universe to be at all attractive, not physically and definitely not in their personalities. This even extends to the Hills, with the hard exception of Justin Bobby. He was such a fox, had an absolutely gorgeous face, great hair, and impeccable style. Aesthetically, he's an A+. However, I found his personality in equal parts bland.
But the girls of LB, a few of them were knock-outs. And even more had great personalities that came through on-screen. Kristin was so charming and charismatic and had so much emotional maturity for a 16 year old. She knew exactly who she was in a way that most teenagers don't even approach. I'm not trying to imply that necessarily translated to her being a wonderful person with everything figured out, cause I'm not. But in the context of her life as a high school student in Laguna Beach, she was leagues ahead of her peers mentally and emotionally. Meanwhile, all the guys were still just the worst, with character types that really only went in one of two directions: They were either comparable to standing there watching paint dry. Or of being soaked in gallons of douche-baggery try-hard ellixcer. Stephen was a bit of both, but mainly aligned with option 1. I never saw anything even remotely appealing about him. He's offensively bland, and I never got what Kristin and LC saw in that noodle boy.
It kills me how drunk (stoned) everyone was at these dances and its all on film đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł

I'm a grown woman now. However, I like to check back on some of these shows that I used watch when I was younger. It's almost kind of sad to see what some of these girls would put up with. When Jason??? goes up to Jessica (I believe that they were in a relationship) and acts all cute and flirty. Asks her to help him pin his boutonniere. Gives her a little puppy dog face. Of course she does it, because she is enamored with him. He makes her feel special for a cpl of mins. Then he dips and goes to the next chick. Leaving her standing there looking stupid.
