    I love watching you fly around in the Bush, and I love listening to your reactions when the planes do something you don't expect. A plane you might enjoy flying would be the Savage Carbon MOD. It enhances the flight characteristics of the Savage cub. It adds bigger tires, larger flaps and much lighter frame. It is a joy to fly. It would be interesting to see a comparison of the various bush planes and mods available in MSFS 2020.
    Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

    Great review. I've had the honor of flying in the real Zenithair blue and yellow 701 that this is modeled after. It looks like they made a really accurate sim. The real plane even stalls like that. I'll never forget how calmy that plane sat at 0 airspeed and than just as calmy recovered with the smallest amount of power. Of course much of the credit goes to the company pilot that had more hours giving demo flights than I could amagine. I can't wait to try it out for myself in MSFS. Thanks

  • @jimfrederich8852
    @jimfrederich8852 Před 3 lety

    When I go into a stall I haven’t had the gentle stall that you got, especially with flaps, I often get a violent wing drop and a fast dive as in some other planes. This seems more realistic than such a mushy stall. This plane climbs incredible fast. That is awesome.

    • @AvAngel
      @AvAngel  Před 3 lety

      Depends on the aircraft, more regular wings will have more violent wing drops especially if you're not straight... This is a result of insane lift on this wing shape.

      I have a question for you. Do you find this sim aircraft to have strange flap response? When I apply flaps on every other aircraft both real and sim the aircraft gets a little lift and the aircraft speed slows down. On this 701 what I experience is the nose pitching down and no noticed slowing of the aircraft. Subsequent stages of flaps make the plane pitch down sometimes uncontrollably and the speed dramatically picks up. Other than that, I love this aircraft!

      @@AvAngel I ended up buying this and it is really fabulous, especially stable to trim and fly unlike many MSFS aircraft. It's really fun and I can recommend coupling it with a $10 "mission" package called Wainwright's Week which defines several routes through the UK Lakes District with a number of fictional airports added, some with very short runways. It's quite lovely country and perfect for exploring with this plane, especially doors off! Thanks again for the review. store.flightsim.com/product/neils-tours-wainwrights-week-for-msfs/

    I love this plane here and in Xplane. My only question is does it seem that they have the flaps set up backwards? For me anyway flaps down produce some lift and slow the aircraft down. With this one bringing, down the flaps noses you down, not up. Other than that, I love it.

    • @AvAngel
      @AvAngel  Před 3 lety

      Xplane might be backwards... not sure, nose down is common with flaps in many aircraft, especially high wing aircraft.

  • @jamesordwayultralightpilot

    Flaps slow her down a lot. I only use flaps to slow her down and get her in...contrary wise with no flaps she glides forever and my favorite part about her is you can land like an eagle catching a salmon with full brakes and she stops in about 50 feet.
