"I cannae hit customers, I've been told!"
The Partridge canon is huge. You can find the resolution of the TV contract issue in his autobiography "I Partridge, We Need To Talk About Alan" (the audiobook read in character by Steve Coogan is an absolute joy) which also covers Alan's own recollections/interpretations of the events you've seen in the series. It's a work of genius.
I’ve every piece of work partridge has done on audible and dvd......all of it is top drawer.....the oust house podcast series are the finest work ever 😂
You guys would love 'Mid Morning Matters' its another Alan Partridge show but its set exclusively in the radio studio.
Second that!!
“Don’t smile, you’ve broken your neck”😂😂😂😂😂every single time😂😂❤️❤️nice one fellas
Minor women's whiplash 😂😂
I swear Steve Coogan based Alan Partridge's voice on Robin "Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous" Leach. Sounds just like him!
Rolf Harris as an example of people who bounced back hits different now.
😂
rolf gonna take some bouncing to bounce back from that lol
And he didn't care if you were gay either
He like adolescent things now
Mid Morning Matters !! It's season 3...A MUST WATCH
The other DJ,Dave Clifton (Phil Cornell) had a show Stella Street, where he played all the characters such as Mick Jagger,Keith Richards Joe Pesci and many more.
Co starred with the sadly no longer with us John sessions. It was very funny at the time but I'm not sure they would know who most of the people being impersonated were/are now days.
Phil Cornell plays DJ Clifton brilliantly he's got that presence in his voice to banter with Partrige 😂
@@midnightzathras6870 Americans would know a few,Jack Nicholson,Joe Pesci Mick Keith Michael Cane can't remember the rest
And of course when on Steve Wright in the Afternoon and Gilbert's Fridge 😀
Keeeeeith! Have you seen the date on these marshmaalooows?
"come on Sonia, let's be appalling" is one of his greatest lines ever
That one and ''That was classic intercourse''.
@@EarthlyEden1 Definitely his best.
You lads are gunna love his movie Alpha Papa, also his Football (Soccer) Commentary is just epic.
Back of the net
😂😂 these never get old
Oh YES !!!! Been waiting for this 😂😂😂
Simon Greenall. Michael, the Geordie. Underrated or not credited enough. He was brilliant in Phoneshop as the sales training day expert. Hilarious bloke:
Theres No limits with his ways he just as No emotion on all levels 😂😂
You are about to be entertained by "Dan". Cant wait for your reaction. Then the James Bond episode. Brilliant.
It's hotter than the Sun! XD
Go in and listen to Tommy Johansson who was a guitarist in Sabaton, do covers of queen, abba, gary more and a lot of others. super talent. Sings like a god, is a multi-instrumentalist, at least 10 instruments, does everything himself. He's amazing.
Mid Morning Matters !!!
Ignore the people saying do "Mid-Morning Matters" next and do Knowing Me Knowing You first, so you're not too chronologically fucked
You should watch "Green Wing", it's hilarious and has lots of sexual innuendos. You'll love it.
+1 to add Green Wing to your long list of things to watch
His audiobooks are great as well if you ever get a chance.
The actress playing Sonia is British. She's just putting on a generic Eastern European accent
Luckily audiobooks, oasthouse episodes etc are up on CZcams
Lovely stuff.
Not my words Michael, but the words of Shakin Stevens
I like shaking stevens & he likes shaking mine😉
You're looking super slim there, Spencer. well done 🙂
Have you guys seen Alan in the new Joker trailer?
Mid Morning Matters !!!!!!!!!!!!!! After this season ends
been using they saying HOTTER THEN THE SUN since this was first aired ha ha
Hurray !!
You notice Shaun Ryder building Alans house... I'm sure that'll go well!
Dan! Dan! Dan! Dan! Dan! Dan! Dan! Dan! Dan!
Not yet wait for the episode :P
🤣
Goggle translate changed this to "and, and, and 🤷
@@RocketMagnetUK stop getting Bond wrong!
"Having a slash" is taking a piss.
I once saw Alan's bully in the reception at my doctors in Chester. Ian Puleston-Davies is his name. Unfortunately, I didn't have hot bramley apple pie on me at the time
But you would be the most popular talkers with the students in your old high school😊
In 2002 £8,000 was worth about $12,500 so not far off the US federal minimum wage depending on how many hours a week she works.
It's a poor amount for being a PA. Especially with all the crazy tasks Alan has her doing - you see her working extremely late nights or early like in the traffic cone episode. The humour of the line comes from Alan thinking he's being extremely generous, when he's basically exploiting her.
@@JemmaH153 She loves it.
@@JemmaH153 "Thanks for changing the gas bottles, Lyn. I could hear them clanking" :)
If you two only knew whats coming up 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 just wait until he lives in the hotel and meets dan 😂😂😂😂😂ut gets better and better
Fun fact series 2 didn’t come out until 5 years after season 1.
8k a year when this was made (2002) is only 16k now 😂
Also, Alan Partridge Scissored Isle is worth a watch. It's basically a mockumentary about British culture.
Sadly wages haven't kept up with inflation in the main. I was earning £18k a year in 2002, which was an okay entry level wage. Bank of England inflation would put that at around £32k today. There's no way the job I was doing then would pay £32k.
Alpha Papa
React to "Cricket explained for baseball fans"
You’ve got to do Mid Morning Matters
In the real life UK TV industry, if presenters embarrass themselves, its known as an 'doing an accidental Partridge' if they become like Alan for a moment or two.
I mean this was Clarkson around about this time before Top Gear returned.
"People bounce back... Rolf Harris...." perhaps not.
hey, where thd hell is peep show?
Tomorrow
What happened to the peep show reactions?
The first series is better, but I have to say the second is more quotable.
Frighteningly I think Alan is rubbing off on you and turning you slightly Partridge.
Accents like what? He doesn't have a posh accent.
Oh shut up
He has a definite "anorak" accent... I'd say it's associated with intelligence but also being socially akward, not region specific. certainly not _posh_ though.
@@njones420 perfect explanation
Spencer doesn’t get it. Alan has a personality disorder but he’s certainly not lacking in intelligence
I loved Knowing Me Knowing You and the first series of this show. However, imho this second series is dire and probably the poorest show Coogan's been involved with.
This Time is the poorest show Coogan has been involved with not this.
I’m afraid you don’t get the humour of him at all
For some reason they cut out virtually all the bits where they're laughing, i.e. actually reacting. Makes the whole thing a bit pointless.
They don't..
But you would be the most popular talkers with the students in your old high school😊
