We have gyms as americans know them, just the equipment room and showers and lockers. This here is a spa resort that has a gym facility in addition to pools, excersise classes and relaxation. Its common for resorts to have bars and restaurants.
Health centres often have reception rooms with bars too and dining rooms

Millions of people are friendzoned. People have very different requirements for lovers than for friends.

@@DavidZ4-gg3dm Well, by season 5 in Seinfeld, it stopped being this realistic - semi-mundane show that focused on the nuances of life. Instead, the story lines became more expansive and ridiculous, and they started to have fun with the characters.
Think, the Chinese Restaurant episode, to the point where Kramer is arrested for murder and ends up on a TV show.
And like with Peep Show - we go from, sort of, understandable storylines in S1 and S2 to episodes like this, and the one on the barge/canal.
