The "Vista" line slayed me back in the day. A proper 00s reference now.
Vista.. Vista was hell. I'll never go back there, never, you hear? I'll never go back.
@@krashd It's okay, I removed Vista and installed Windows Me for you instead.
When this originally aired the Vista line followed by Moss’s “WE’RE GOING TO DIE” was honestly one of the funniest fucking things I’d seen; I laughed so hard I could barely breathe. Now, sadly, it’s become of its time 🙁 Only those who lived through the misery of Microsoft Vista will ever truly appreciate it...and it still makes me laugh my arse off!
I'd love to marvel at the one living person who still misses that atrocity of an OS.
I mean it has pretty much been all downhill since 2000/XP. But still, Vista was a truly unique nightmare. I'd have more fun with BIOS. Heck that, even the Bootloader!
@@carlhartwell7978 Vista fans = Highlander (“There can be only one”) 😂
I think you two are now ready to watch Spaced :D
Black Books after IT crowd!! You must complete the Tedrilogy...!!
Seconded - Black Books is genius!
@@Stoninho I know it's not as consistantly written by Linahan as Ted and IT, but I think it's 'feel' still matches those two shows, which is why I group them as a trio!
I've never seen Black Books. That would be interesting.
@@robbie_ Very good show. With Dylan Moran there's another Irish lead, Bill Bayley and Tamsin Greig too. Some guest stars are Mark Heap, Kevin Eldon, Nick Frost, Simon Pegg, Jessica stevenson. it's that pocket of actors. It's actually considered to be the sister show to Spaced, and shares a lot of its cast.
"Life Cry - you know you're in for a good time when there's a picture of a polar bear crying on the label!"
Think "Black Books" - it's fun!
"It's gonna suck when it's over" You have no idea how true that is. I still want more.
King boomer was soo confused at the start, well done queen boomer for sticking with it 😂
You've seen the guy with the bad french accent before, he played one of the village police officers in Hot Fuzz. :)
Kevin Eldon - been in loads of stuff
@@slates1969 Kevin Eldon? The cleaner from Black Books? I had no idea.
I'm so fricken dumb, I thought he was ment to be Welsh 😂😂
“The actor Kevin Eldon” from TMWRNJ
You are all forgetting that Kevin Eldon's funniest turn came in another Graham Linehan creation..
Big Train! Simon Pegg, Mark Heap and Kevin Eldon at their hilarious best.

When IT crowd finishes, you have to watch Black Books.
Co-written by Graham Linehan (of Father Ted and IT Crowd) and Dylan Moran. Also starting Bill Bailey.
Very DRY But FUNNY
And the equally legendary Tamsin Greg.
I've never felt so old in my entire life than when Queen Boomer didn't know who George Lucas is.
you should absolutely do Black Books next!! complete the trilogy!
I was about to say just this. I watched one episode being filmed at Teddington Studios, so long ago!
@@Pugwash. i'm all for this
Me too, it'll be a great one to do together 😊
I have a feeling they'll love Manny too. Kind of a middle ground between Dougal and Moss. Also the fabulous Tamsin Greig is in it too, I wonder if they'll recognize her right away.
Black Books and then Spaced 😉
The actor playing the guy from the Tech Support call centre was also in the episode “The Final Countdown” where he played “Negative One.”
Never clocked that.
He's so different between episodes!
It’s not Jim but it is Kevin Eldon. He’s basically been in EVERY British Comedy for the last 25 years or so. If you check out his IMDB, it’s immense.
suprised that red dwarf hasnt been reacted too, best british comedy show ever
Ascension Sunday, Ascension Sunday...
Was yesterday.
7:30 If you want to see creative British cussing, check out Malcolm Tucker on *The Thick of It*
I’m from the UK and if you like moss and Douglas then you will love ‘Garth Marenghis Dark Place’ it’s only 1 series 6 episodes and about 25 mins per episode, based on retro 80s TV horror comedy series around a paranormal hospital, but is made to look like a budget tv series with bad acting (on purpose and hilarious!) if you love moss and Douglas Renholm and our wired UK humour you will both love it! There is prob a trailer on CZcams for it so can see what I mean, and can thank me later! Love your reaction videos hope you do one on this series as not a lot of people would have heard of it
They have food delivery robots in my city, a couple did get tipped over early on.
One person found one that was stuck, lifted it free, and it said "thank you".
Next show after IT Crowd has to be Black Books
You guys might really like Green Wing. It's a bit off the wall but really funny and very British!
Ha, never noticed they were at whitgift in Croydon before 😂
Black Books next. Its a Graham Linehan show too. Then Derry Girls.
Think they might struggle with the accents in Derry Girls 😅
@@johnmenniss3781would definitely need subtitles lol
DERRY GIRLS 100 %
THEN HRC DAUGHTER RUINED IT
not only did Moss kiss the girl in the end, he even told her "Wait for me" xD
The girl Moss kisses is Cynthia from Plebs
I think you'd love The Misfits! It's another British comedy. The first 2 seasons are some of my favourite TV ever 😎
Good Choice! Completely forgot about Misfits. First 2 seasons are good and then it falls apart unfortunately. But would still love to see them react to it...
I just watch Fallout and Matt Berry made a "cameo" and his lines are extra funny because reminds me Douglas Reynholm a lot.
23:46 "I think you should do voice acting, you have good voices" I couldn't agree more.
Richard Ayoade, Travel Man takes cast of IT CROWD on weekend break, Europe. Available in CZcams.
As others have said - Black Books is definitely worth a watch if you are looking for something similar!
I ATE ALL YOUR BEES
"Skeeter the saloon slag" would make a good character
The French IT guy was one of the police officers in Hot Fuzz.
If you're looking for a replacement UK comedy that features a (VERY VERY) angry man getting into absurd situations: One Foot in the Grave. It will also give a little backstory for one particular episode of Father Ted.
You guys are now ready for 'The Mighty Boosh' I reckon!
That's the actor Kevin Eldon.
ou iz nat Frunch
That’s a throwback of a reference 😅
As a Brit that lived in the US for over 10 years I've always given Americans this simple tip about our creative swearing. You can turn any word into a swear word, it's all about context. The only rule is, it has to be funny!
Oh, you think so, Billy No-Mates? ;-)
Wow, you're amazing
BEN....obviously BEN!!!!
You guys should go for "Black Books" next. You'll love it!
There's always bloopers you can react to after the final special :D
Garth Meringue's Darkplace is only six episodes and has the actors who played Moss and Douglas. And it it's a spoof of horror and 80s TV. I think you'd love it.
as you mentioned Jim from FND - he was played my Mark Heap who did an amazing British animated program back in the day called "Stressed Eric" - you absolutely have to watch it
13:03 "Bunking off" is the UK equivalent of "playing truant". In some places it can be so bad that there are truancy officers whose only job is to check out places like malls, arcades, and so on to find kids that are bunking off from school and take them back to school.
Considering the name of the term - bunking off - I can only assume it originated in boarding schools and has something to do with bunk beds. As a Brit I have no idea.
Bluey is AWESOME. My grandson who is 18 months old loves it. But not as much as my 41 year old son who is majorly, emotionally invested in the characters.
Ok here's a proposal for you. Garth Marenghi's Darkplace ( to ease the pain of IT Crowd finishing with some familiar faces), Black Books (to complete the trilogy), then Derry Girls (for something a funny and charming), then Misfits
Way too long on 2 mediocre shows. They should watch Bad Education instead. Humour is up their alley.
Black Books should be next...
The final episode is the best, the ending will blow you away.
I'm really hyped for that reaction!
So good
Game Booorrreddddd......
Black books is another of his creations
Spaced. And Black Books. Can't recommend enough.
Check out Black Books next, another Graham Linehan classic.
From N.I. here and I remember a 200ib bomb was left under a railway bridge, it didn't go off so the police put traffic cones round it and we were able to drive past it unhindered.
Wait till NEXY Year ... When the INVADERS COME .
As a software developer and iOS programmer, I'd like to point out that you don't need to close apps on your phone. Mobile operating systems function differently from PCs. The operating system simply puts the apps to sleep, so if you have a modern phone (from the last decade or newer), you almost never need to manually close any apps. I'm with the Queen on this!
Almost never. I always have to keep helping my old workmate out because he can't log in to his app.. turned out it was because an out of date version was "asleep" in his list of minimised apps. He had to close it for the thing to work again.
That's good to know, actually :)
This is the answer ^^^ and it doesn’t save any battery because they get put to sleep, it actually uses more battery to start apps up from scratch over and over again
Even moss fell asleep reading this ^^^^^
@@Zermattquattro How can you watch an entire reaction video the length of a dehydrated camel's toilet break and then not concentrate on a comment that takes 10 seconds to read?
The "virtual reality room" is The Cave :) We had one in the 90s at a place I worked. And yeah, it was expensive (and so was the server that drove it).
As someone who has used VR for several years. Do small stints (like 20 mins) to get started. And having a fan blowing on you can help some people with motion sickness. New headsets like the Quest 3 have very clear lenses and use the cameras on the front so you can see your surroundings in mixed reality when you turn it on, which also helps for those who haven't gotten their VR legs.
The man in the call centre is 'the actor' Kevin Eldon. Has done a some non comedy work in recent years including appearing in the recent Napoleon film. He was also in Big Train and his own self titled show amongst other comedy.
They weren't open apps, they were early computer viruses. These opened popup windows automatically to make you click on them to do something to make them close or go to some website. They would always reappear.
I'm pushing for Black books again !
25:39 that's Kevin Eldon he pops up in a lot of UK comedies, you'll undoubtedly have seen him before
Count Arthur Strong is a must watch for you. Really underrated
Kevin Eldon who was the phone support guy has been in a lot of things, including Jam, (aka Jaaaaam), which he is great in. But be warned, Jam is very dark comedy sketches. It is written by Chris Morris ( Denholm)
Fun fact: Matt Berry is in an episode of Fallout.
Yess!
Please react to 'Black Books' next! It's co-written by same writer of 'IT Crowd' and 'Father Ted', Graham Linehan, along with comedian Dylan Moran ❤❤❤
The telephone assistant (Kevin Eldon) and 'Jim' from Friday night dinner (Mark Heap) worked together in 'Big Train' (created by Arthur Mathews and Graham Linehan) alongside Simon Pegg. This was a sketch show from the late 90s.
When a bomb was washed up on the local beach, it was packed with people wanting to see it!
Helpline guy is Kevin Eldon - also see "Big Train" and Chris Morris's "Jam". Subtle wizard of physical comedy
Street Robot scene was filmed in Gresse Street, just around the corner from my old office @ Tottenham Court Road
23:40 Sounds like he's simply called 'The Old-Timer'.
I like the whiskey drinking Tom Waits voiced young King Boomer 🤣
This is a real thing, the bad kids at school (I was a bad kid) got taken on a prison visit to show us that being naughty wasn't good, moss is talking to kids.
When IT crowd is over you need to watch black books. It's really great
If you guys like really goofy, silly British comedy/jokes, I highly recommend watching some of Harry Hill's TV Burp. Particularly, the Bear Grylls and the King Penguins clips.
i like how they played the call centre safe by using the french and not asians to avoid " racism "
Vista!
We’re going to die!
Legendary line.
How did you not recognize the girl Moss liked? She was in Plebs for 2 series.
Btw, phones don't work like PCs. Swiping things away does jack. If the app you're on needs resources it'll take them from the others. Exceptions are few, and work in the background even if you swipe them away.
You guys should also watch black books also writen by graeme linehem who done father ted and it group.
"SCARED STRAIGHT" 👌👌👌👌👌
MIGHTY BOOSH! Next please, has some of the IT Crowd cast in it.
Matthew Berry has another show that is pretty good that I don't know if you could fully show on the channel. It is called "Snuff Box" and is about an exclusive club for executioners.
If you're looking for stuff from the same writer, Black Books or Count Arthur Strong are both fantastic. Otherwise, I highly recommend The Brittas Empire or Vicar of Dibley.
I think the guy in the call centre was Kevin Eldon. He and Mark Heap (Friday Night Dinner) were in a show together called "Big Train". Simon Pegg was in it as well.
Try watching “Green Wing”. Same crazy humour as farther ted and IT Crowd, but even better (in my opinion of course). Try the first episode. You’ll be hooked.
Sadly bombscares we’re a regular acoustics in Uk and Ireland , shops and street would close down be evacuated and workers and key holders would wait outside estimated blast range
The UK needs a Queen Callie
When this show ends you need to react to the series - What We Do In The Shadows - featuring Matt Berry!!!!
I'm just so sorry I missed this whole thing when I had a television (BBC television licence fees, grr!), so thank you SO much for introducing me to it at this late stage!
Thought you might like this. Items I never knew existed until today
Matt Berry has music albums on Amazon
Always love your reactions to this .
JD and coke is still my regular drink. I'm the same Brian, where I can easily drink a bottle when I'm out on a session (don't get too drunk and no hangover the next day though 😂)
You two are my after work relaxation hour lol thank U two xxx
You might like the "IT Crowd Bloopers. They have them for each season.
The help desk guy was Kevin Eldon. Friday Night Dinner's Jim is played by Mark Heap
9:59 hey i paint little figurines from lord of the rings.
But at least i know what a browser is
You guys need to see Spaced!!! Omg
As an Aussie, I can tell you that the worst time for getting burnt is when it's cloudy. You underestimate it because it's cloudy so you don't think to put on sunscreen and that's when you're most likely to get sunburnt.
That's video Queen is talking about at the beginning where the kid is in prison, is SOOO FUNNY you must make king boomer watch it 🤣
11:32 QB describes the holodeck from Star Trek, a room where all the walls are variable depth screens.
I remember when I was doing my work experience at 15 up in Oxford street, london. We was on the tube and there was a bomb scare on the tube I was on, absolutely terrifying and I’ve been scared of using the tube since. Everytime I have to use it I get the sweats and start shaking and my heart goes like the clappers
If you don't close applications on iPhone, the operating system will secretly close them for you to save memory, and replace the application with a screenshot of the last state to trick you intro thinking its not closed, then when you try to go back to it it will relaunch it. So it actually doesn't matter if you don't close them.
So funny that you confused Mark Heap (Jim) with Kevin Eldon (not Jim). They're 2 of the most underrated comic actors of the last 30 years and they've shared the screen more times than I can count
Love your reactions. 😎
Love watching this with you guys 😀
For your next series, why not try the comic drama Detectorists. It's a totally different pace from I T crowd. It's beautifully made with wonderful, heartfelt characters that will make you laugh and sometimes make you well up with emotion. It's one of the most perfectly realised shows to come out of the UK in the last 20 years.
The guy you thought was Jim is in fact comedian and actor kevin Eldon, who is in just about everything including the Kevin Eldon Show. The British comedy landscape keeps unfolding!
This is such a great ep
