Hey guys! Back with another Borderlands video and today, I wanted to go over 10 of what I think are among the Best Pistols and Revolvers in Borderlands History. Like the other videos in this series, I'll be putting the best Borderlands 1, Borderlands 2 and The Pre-Sequel Pistols and Revolvers head to head to determine which one is the best.

Yeah I learned the heard way to gun is broken (in the bad way) you can't spec into anything lowering weapon capacity otherwise you'll get zero and the gun won't work
You can get a chaotic neutral classmid from the tiny Tina dlc, it ups magazine size and fire rate allowing you to use the infinity on an anarchy build

literally 5 minutes ago I get a unkempt harold WITHOUT double penetrating and say. "damm this weapon is really good" and now i see this with the double penetration. and i NEEED IT
DPUH is a must honestly
I know this about a year too late, but Double penetrating is actually less DPS on any character other than sal and axton because they have recoil reduction that allows them to land all the projectiles
For list like these, you 100% need an honorable mention list.

Wouldve put the defiler, maggie and the t4z-r on this list. Because although the luck cannon is extremely powerful, i would rather use a dastardly maggie or t4z-r in the pre sequel for every character.

Salvador with grog and dpuh, money shot and inconceivable is what I live for. Hearing that money shot chain hit like 10-15 times is borderline orgasmic.

I agree. As much as I like the pistols in BL2 nothing can compare to the awesome revolvers from BL1. They were easily my favourite weapon type!

That would be awesome if they did that, I want them to bring back the basic mechanics from bl1.. bl2 definitely became pretty broke with the mass amount of broken guns you had in your reach..
They should bring back all the good memaroble guns from borderlands1 and have them in bl3 as legendarys or something

Caruci yea I always thought the infinity was crap because of its terrible damage, but then I only ever got one on normal mode and it may have had a bad roll too so I dunno. The Zer0 build for the first shot thing and times where I run out of ammo (nearly unheard of) were about the only situations I found it to be useful. I love infinite ammo but I found it to be lackluster. I was even more sad because the weapon swap hybriding glitch thing didn’t work with the infinite ammo, lol. So no infinite, groggy conference call :( 🤣

Infinity pistol is useless? I can clear the whole game using it and only have an issue with bosses..... '-' but my stats are almost 300% sooooo even a buffalo can one shot on crit for me. Mob Sheila takes two maybe three depending the persons HP pool. Don't even need to slag really either lol
If you use it with lady fist and aim for crits it is freaking crazy. But again 300% badass stats

Well, I finally learned what was so good about the Grog Nozzle.
If the infinity came back in the pre sequel than you could duel-wield it with Nisha that would be OP
Really don’t like the top spot. The luck cannon is really only godlike on Nisha and Jack, while the other characters don’t get much use out of it. But the Unkempt Harold is amazing on everyone, not to mention you can get it so early in the game.
The Luck Cannon is great on any character.
It's just that Nisha, Jack AND Claptrap (which you forgot to mention) make the most use out of it.

A weapon that its feature relies on RNG is not good, Glitch pistols on the other hand are fairly effective because its glitch effects are effective.
I agree. The harold is an absolut beast, especially with a dp prefix. The luck cannon is nice but imo not that great.
I feel like I'm the only person who thinks the Maggie should have been on this list. It's super good especially with a knife on it.
The maggie is nice. Played it a long time on my nisha. Not much worse than a luck canon.

Ah yes, I remember back in the days of my youth, I was scavenging through the various closets of my house and eventually came upon a Beyblade called Dragoon. It was rather spiffy and had an emblem of a dragon on it, but it also came with a unique launcher which was able to activate somewhat of a small motor embedded inside which could be activated at will wirelessly from the launcher, which led to it being a rather bulky and cumbersome, much in the shape of a pistol. Most people would have used it to increase the rotation speed or increase the duration of how long it could spin for. However, I was more of an industrious type of person and tried to find new ways to utilize the motor inside. So one day, I went to the play ground at school, and I tried to gather up all my mates, although I effectively had none, so I went and found all the people participating in Beyblade battles. I squeezed into the groups huddled around the arena, and entered in the battle myself. We released the Beyblades and everyone else's Beyblades were going down, mine too, but I decided to use the motor to fundamentally cheat as I could use it to make it roll around on the ground at a slow pace and knock over ones still standing. Of course everyone else was like, "oy mate, you're cheatin" but I told them that it was still spinning so it counted and that they were just jealous. As you could imagine, it left my opponents very cross, but that didn't matter as I was the winner of every single Beyblade match until my motor inevitably broke, which happened relatively quickly, but that didn't matter since no one was even playing with Beyblades anymore, they all moved onto some insignificant sport or leisure that I can't remember at all. And so concludes this story.
The answer to the question of how to beat the Beybladers: use a gun.

I was literally just thinking this morning about how I really love the Pestilent Defiler from BL1 and how I'd like to see a video from you on what you think the best pistols are in borderlands. Spooky
My favourites: Infinity pistol on Zer0, Luck Cannon on Nisha (well basically every pistol on Nisha) and Grog with Unkempt Harold on Salvador.

So I'm probably late to party but I saw your videos about potential characters in borderlands 3 and I thought of character that no one really seems to mention. In borderlands 2, son of crawmerax there is a mission where you have to go find some assassins wanting Revenge against the Vault Hunters. When you find them, they're all killed by different people who knows the Vault Hunters. When you play Zer0 and you find your assassins, Zer0 says something this is a message and Mercy is coming. When you beat the mission and get a letter from the different people, Zer0 letter just says *one*. So I'm wondering if 0ne is another assassins just like Zer0 that might be in borderlands 3.

Maybe its katagawa jr., since he learned the fighting style of zer0, and he also got a replica of zer0's suit and sword.
Dragoon. Nice list. I'm somewhat surprised the Dove hybrid wasn't mentioned. It's cool, you did choose some great ones to add to the list.
Oh, and thanks about mentioning the Firehawk.It helped me during the Underdome's elemental rounds, and this was my first legendary gun, and saved my a*s a lot of times.

I recall I got the unforgiven in the original borderlands by completing a scavenger hunt quest in the dust where you had to find parts of a gun and assemble it.
I have a fondness for the Bowie Greed after using one with Krieg for a good part of my first time playing BL2.
The pistol that Vaughn uses when he tries to kill you in the cutscene in Commander Lilith and the Fight for Sanctuary DLC

As far as pistols go, I like any single shot revolvers. Preferably with the most classic revolver look as possible. That differs more then how the gun handles. Its just more comfortable as I headshot everything in sight.
The unkempt herold and zer0s bore is amazing
Great list, but a few of the guns are only exceptional with certain characters. Like the #1 gun is amazing with nisha, fantastic with jack, but no one else can really capitalize on it. So, as good as it is, it shouldn't make the list. Guns like the chimera from bl1 work fantastic with all the characters. The unkempt herald is fantastic with all characters. Grog nozzle is fantastic with all the characters. The Zapper is fantastic with every character.

Without watching I feel like this list might be a bit heavy on the BL2 part. This game has so many great pistols like the Harold, the Fibber, the Grog Nozzle, the Lady Fist, the Maggie....
I liked the two fer maggie better than the single though that isn't the case with all pistols I preferred the floated over the twin hornet. The twins fire rate was too slow for my liking same as for the lady fist
I consider the Grog to be the worst weapon that has ever happened to Borderlands.
It created awful players who claim that only 3 guns and 1 build are viable in *just* UVHM.

Torgue Violator, Atlas Chimera, & Maliwan Defiler. Three pistols I enjoy using.
I didn't get into the end game of borderlands but in the armory dlc my favorite pistol was Pestilent Defiler. That thing always corroded things and most enemies had armor in that dlc.

In BL1 I had a masher variant "Ax11 Savage Unforgiven" was a revolver with a x7 shotgun type shot, and +100% crit damage, was a ridiculous weapon.
My buddy got a fibber barrel in the Tiny Tina dlc from killing a mimic chest.

The first thing i do in all borderlands in get as many grenades as possible. Having 10 mirv x 10 grenades is the most OP fun

Oh cmon I can’t be the only one to absolutely love the Atlas chimera from borderlands 1. I was so upset when I learned that atlas weapons weren’t in the second game.
I also loved the Chimera. I wish it had been brought back for Borderlanda 3.
Regarding the Grog Nozzle: In the community patch (v3.0 or 3.1 i believe), it was made obtainable by farming Gold Golem in the Dragon Keep DLC.

Hell yeah, the Firehawk is great.
I would give hornet and defiler honourable mentions for bl1 and bl2 respectively. Hornet is the earliest obtainable legendary in bl2 and defiler is a great pistol in bl1. Both are corrosive pistols, both were my first legendary drops in each game and both served me well on lilith and maya.
I always start a BL2 run by grinding for the Hornet, it basically carries me all the way up to Roland’s rescue.
Best pistol I’ve used was a two fer Maggie. Absolutely insane dps.
Luck cannon is the best, i used it for about 15 levels before I felt likeni should upgrade

I got a level20 scoped masher 70x7@1.6 rate with +11 regen..on mordeccai..I literally re-spec 'd his pts. and took out ALL pistol related perks, got a find rare loot mod, and it was still too OP, up until 10levels later. By then the rare loot mod got me STAR of ORION sniper, hellfire smg, a broken (unlimited ammo) corrosive hornet, corrosive crux snotty, and ogre assault rifle. Nobody talks about Mordeccai's rare loot mod..trust me, it works (Lilith has one too) better in co-op, only prob is the fighting on who gets which OP guns lol

DJD 925 there are different and even better list than this excuse of a channel, the only thing he does is more fucking redo's of old videos that are basically irrelevant since he has milked the ever living shit out of borderlands 2, the pre-sequel, and fallout 4 for content

My favourite pistol not on this list is the Thanatos pistol from Borderlands one, this thing had high damage, huge ammo capacity and insane fire rate. Everything I loved about S&S muntitions.
Mashers from bl1 should've got its own place, not as just an accessory. They wreck everything for 10+ levels, plus the knockback which sometimes sends corpses sailing across the map can be super satisfying! Dragoons
I might be in the minority here, but one of my favorite pistols from the Borderlands series is the Thanatos pistol from Borderlands 1. I played Mordecai and although his skills on the gunslinger tree are great for revolvers, his skills Relentless, Hair Trigger, and Gun Crazy combine to make the Thanatos a monstrous pistol and effectively a large magazine SMG for Mordecai. With a magazine size of 108 (after the +30% boost to pistol magazine size granted by Hair Trigger) combined with the chance to fire 2 bullets at once, (Gun Crazy) with as high as his pistol fire rate got that pistol shredded through things like they were made of paper. I miss doing that.

WhenToastersAttack I completely agree. The defiler definitely should’ve been on the list. If I made my own top 10 list, it would probably be at #3. #2 being the luck cannon and #1 would be the Unkempt Harold.

I've said this so many god damn times, when I want to see a list of good things I want a legit list, not guns that everyone exploits like the shit nozzle and crapfinity
The Maggie is my favorite pistol since it has a far better fire rate and damage output than the Fragnum 88 / Unkempt Harold from Borderlands 2. I like how nicely the revolver responds especially when you pull the trigger, it has a relatively low projectile spread, high firing rate and projectile speed as well as a really nice reload speed that's almost as good as Tediore reloads.

My favorite pistol is one I got from a gold n key that was Hyperion and shot tracking fire bullets
My Favorite revolver in Borderlands 1 was the D11 Primal Masher. Equipped with the Gunslinger Class Mod which gave 66% Pistol Fire Rate I was able to take down the Destroyer with it.
I got the Energized Fibber and it did have good damage even it Normal mode, when I was about level 34, I had it and it's damage was Over 4K, tho it was a shock variant

I always wanted the unforgiven for my mordecai on bl1...and i got it. On Roland. FML...
Also it's a shame the Pestilent pistol didn't make it here: that pistol carried me a lot during my playthrough 2 of the dlc and even helped me during my moxxi underdome attempts. 2 shots was usually all it needed to kill most enemies!
to be honest before the title on the BL3 trailer I thought I saw Amara holding a revolver looking like it was inspired by a colt dragoon or a Griswold
I'm surprised no one brings up Krom's Sidearm, that gun carried me through the 2nd half of the game
Promp Critical is basically unkemp harold but sticky
I personally would have put the Defiler (from BL 1) in place of the Firehawk simply because of the massive damage over time effect it has on just about everything. The Firehawk does also have massive damage over time, but in my experience the Defiler does it better with the added effect of weakening enemies to other damage types similar to slag, absolutely tearing through Knoxx on Mordecai, and also on Mordecai it has some pretty damn high crit potential. Sad to see it's not here, but I enjoyed the list regardless Puma.
