I think it kinda says something about Assault Rifles in BL2/PS that the "Best" ones are largely very gimmicky in usage and effect (and even still have significant limitations in some cases) compared to the ones in Borderlands 1. BL1's Combat Rifles blow almost all of BL2/PS's ARs out of the water in terms of usability and capability. The Draco, Serpens, and Ogre were all fantastic weapons to get your hands on, and even a Defender was nice to have even if it was relatively plain. But the beauty of these weapons were how brutally straightforward they were. They were just really good at what their weapon group did, and then amped to be even stronger. 2 and PS had a few rifles that could honestly be incredible, but most of those weapons were Orange/Pearl/Seraph. Through most common play, your bog standard white/green/blue ARs were largely trash unless they were Jakobs (which meant frequent, lengthy reloads even still), and purples were passable but still inferior to a good pistol or SMG. Puma discussed this well in his vid about ARs in BL2. Combined with the especially gimmicky way most of the ARs handled over various manufacturers and their odder (and albeit very creative) weapon parts, they just never felt as satisfying to use as they were in BL1.
Its stupid to compare bl2 to bl1 since they both scale differently and besides the chopper and serpens around almost equally as gimmicky anyways and besides the bl2 ones have much more interesting gimmicks anyways
I got an orange rarity slag assault rifle that shoots like 7 bullets in a horizontal line. It was full-auto shooting from the hip, and burst shooting down the sights. I got it at about level 18 and I used it until level 44. That gun was awesome.
I have a gremlin with assault rifles; SMGs seemed to keep me alive and like that old chestnut of finding that one move or weapon and sticking to it throughout the game. Thanks for your insight into making the game more varied by giviing this style of play more attention it deserves (at least for my way of play).
The one thing the Ajax Ogre and The Bekah have in common is that they are extremely hard to farm but is worth the time and effort. Plus can you do best/worst weapons in Shadow Warrior 2, it's a great RPS you should really play that like the mix of Doom and Borderlands. Please?

This is just my opinion but in my opinion the kerblaster Is one of the best weapons for a axton Because of his mixture with good assault rifles and because of his ability with grenades, because whenever you shoot the weapon, it immediately drops grenades on your enemies. And then there's also the point where the rockets that it shoots are unlisted. So the bee shield also works on this weapon. And that's why it's my favorite rifle and All you have to do is beat the Mini boss in Southern shelf BA. And that Mini boss is a push over. So getting this rifle is easy. Especially whenever you're early level player. And because of that it, it just makes it even more simple to get. And it's one of the first legendaries in the game other than the bonus package. And that's why it's my favorite rifle❤

Cool video dude! Yeah the ajax ogre is the tits, pity the version in bl2 was such a gremlin. But I do really dig the vladof assault rifles in bl2, especially the kitten and hail, higher the fire rate plus the b shield happier I am. Nothing more satisfying than wiping out a buzzard in the dust from the other side of the map using the b shield and a vladof assault rifle. (with a little help from axtons turrets or maybe phase lock lol!)

Bl1 was a near perfect game for sure. A solid 9/10. Experience-wise. Of course there's a number of annoying/frustrating things, but so much outshadowed by the atmosphere and loot

Look up the teleporting MIRV you want it to have x10 child grenades with 0.0 fuse time I found mine in caustic caverns at lv 43 and I'm dropping lvl 50s with it I run a Salvador with two grenades per throw and a relic that maxes me out at 13 grandest try it out just farm chubbies
How is your bekah so accurate? When I use the Boss Bekah the reticle flies all over the place and the cross hairs take a little bit to return to center.
I just realized that you saying that the rapier is a bad AR but a good melee weapon kinda contradicts putting it on a list of the top 10 ARs. Maybe it would make a lot more sense for it to be put on a top 10 for the best melee weapons.
