I use makeup brushes when working with my spiders too! I always felt like they were so much softer than paintbrushes.
FYI the water trick in Avic enclosures is great in the winter if your heaters in the house are drying out your enclosures. I’ve never done it long term, but it is a handy trick in the right circumstances.

Can we talk for a second about how adorable Austin is when he talks about what he's passionate about? His eyes light right up, I love it
I've always known they sell 🖤🕷️🖤😁 I have raised many generations of dubias, orange head & Madagascar in roaches to banded crickets I purchased from Josh's Frogs. Customer service is superb and I have received healthy happy feeders every time.
I just saw austin at a michigan reptile expo that's neat I didn't know they were so local

i got an a. seemanni and g. pulchripes from them a few months ago when they were 25% off. both were bigger than i expected from the listing description, and they were so healthy and happy upon arrival!! the pulchripes settled in and started rearranging his home within just a few hours!!! i’ve bought feeders, plants, isopods, and T’s from them, and am always pleased w the quality of the plants and animals. i have had some issues with their isopods arriving dead or full of gnats but it’s understandable, and their customer service is way above any other shop, animal-related or otherwise!!! i recommended them to another plant-lover just the other day!!
I wish I knew this before ordering my wild caught stirmi from UG. I would've paid extra to get the captive bred apophysis from JF.
I bought my first two tarantulas 7 months ago from Josh's Frogs! I've somehow spent over $930 on their site and have never bought a reptile or amphibian from them... Only invertebrates and plants and dry goods :') I love Josh's Frogs

I got my Grammostola pulchripes from them. She came in healthy and on time! They also included when her last molt was and when she was last fed!
Unless things have made a serious change in the person packing spiders for shipping. I will pass thank you very much. Will not entertain that again.
