@@KatMEW93Productions actually they have no orders under the name 'Harkness'. The pizza company confirmed in an earlier scene that the team orders under the name 'Torchwood' and describes them as good customers.
Oh, come on! She was going to say "Here's your pizza" and I was going to say "How much?", she says, oh, whatever, "20 quid", and I say "Ooooh, I dOn'T hAvE aNy MoNeY!"
Idk why but it's one of my favorite lines...
I know the budget made it that way but, I kinda like how the first seasons make the show look like a soap oprea kinding giving the show's style a more grounded and realistic tone while Doctor Who is more grand and fantastical.
LOVE the Torchwood Hub set. Wish they didn't have to destroy it in "Children of Earth".

Considering these people are meant to be the Anti-heroes to The Doctor's Hero/Heroine it makes sense. The TARDIS which on top of being his/her ship and home is essentially a base of operations. Much like the Torchwood Institute. The Tardis has endured heavy damages inside and out and the desktop theme as 5 refers to it often changes every couple of seasons. So needless to say in order for Torchwood Hub to change, something bad has to happen to it.

The name comes from the original manor where they were based out of before finding the rift on top of that they do show up on government paper work just in a way that the pencil pusher know it’s similar to a cia black site or cell

So does Ianto always let the pizza guy in through the hidden entrance and let them wander about and see all the alien artifacts and high tech sci fi stuff or was Gwen just a one off?
She stood outside for hours and they were basically watching her the whole time before she worked up the courage to try this.
There was another pizza delivery girl in another episode, she regulary delievered torchwood and seemed confused when the door to the secret base opened, and was stunned by the stuff they have. Why do i know this stuff?
@@causti9744 Ianto was more concerned with his Cyberwoman friend and the unauthorized expert he had brought in to reverse-convert her. All of this was while Jack and Co were out having a pint.
Doesn't Ianto just normally handle the paying and taking of the pizza without just anyone using the lift?
Or do they take turns who gets to be upstairs?

Jessicatzen that will definitely not happen any time soon. Although they have the episodes in 1080p. None of the extras or behind the scenes are in hd.
It was also a weird time for cameras. Everything looks slightly cheap due to the way digital cameras and colour grading worked back then.

The video quality on this channel and SJA is better than I remember it, certainly better than previous official uploads from either show.
Isaac Faruque for some reason past uploads for any of these shows could be 360p even if they were on 1080p blu ray...
SJA was made in low-quality. - HD wasn't available for their budget.

Eve Myles, who plays Gwen, is a very lovely woman. Met her some years ago at a convention.

Really wish this series lasted longer then it did. Yeah I enjoyed the later movies whatever but they could’ve given them more content
I didn't realize that Torchwood was an anagram of Doctor Who, until half way through first season. :/
It was the name they recorded the Modern Doctor Who under when it was in it's first season/series. Apparently that's a common thing to try and throw off fans (they did the same for the Superman movie "The Man of Steel" from my recollection).
I’m 15 and was always a big Doctor Who fan and always knew about Torchwood but never watched it until like a few weeks ago and LMAO WOW if I have watched Torchwood very young then that would be hilarious since Torchwood is not really for children. The second episode made me so WEIRDED OUT LMAO.
For Gwen fans check out Marcella. One of the best shows I've seen. One of the darkest as well.

@@heritagekebek3029 The big finish stuff is amazing though and is, in my opinion, a worthy continuation of the show. If torchwood never gets brought back to tv then i wouldn't even be mad because the big finish stuff is that good and i would be perfectly satisfied if it is how torchwood continues.

the one who played the villain in this episode is returning to Doctor who next year even though she has had huge success in Hollywood. She has been in both Star Wars and the last Mission Impossible film
I could have sworn they only did one season. CZcams is saying there are 4 seasons now.
2 full seasons. 1 miniseries and a...crap one
They did four series and two or so audio series. Series 1 and 2 have 13 episodes, series 3 is called CoE (Children of Earth) and has five episodes, named Day 1 to Day 5, series 4 is called Miracle Day and has 10 episodes. Series 4 is a coproduction between the BBC and some American network and is set in the USA, whereas series 1 and 2 are set in Cardiff and series 3 mainly in London.

Amazing, I didn't know torchwood was a series of its own, thinks it was just an institution in the Doctor Who series - by the way, I liked the reference to Devid Tennant's hand, well, I think that hand in that container with liquids that bubbles is from Doctor Who in the first episode that appears the actor David Tennant and fight against Sycorax
Tennant shows up in a future episode. Jack was running to the TARDIS just as it was starting to leave.
Anything else I could say would be a spoiler.
This show will be a classic. Such a weird ass show.

Uh...no. There were several attempts to revive it, either as a continuation of the series, or as a Hollywood movie, but none of them ever got into production. Sad.
