    For anyone confused Jack started off in the future then went to the London blitz, traveled with the doctor and went to the 21st century then went back to the 1800s and lived through all of it to the 21st century again and this flashback he was still immortal

      I actually liked torchwood better than Doctor Who. The doctor always came off as an annoying know it all who was the definition of a Mary Sue. Jack however makes plenty of mistakes and grow as a person. Also he’s not a woke character...he is well written and complex but sticks to a core design. The doctor doesn’t change...ever.

    Doctor Who sometimes treads into an almost fantasy setting by having ghosts, werewolves, witches ect. and playing most of them completely straight with the only alteration to them to make them fit into a Sci-Fi show being that they're aliens
    I was happy to see Torchwood continue that trend

    Is it terrible I don't blame the fairies? I mean, according to Jack his guys got drunk, murdered a kid and he did what exactly? The punishment couldn't have been too severe if they were laughing and joking together a week later.

    • @firebladetenn6633
      @firebladetenn6633 Před 4 lety +6

      Archie Brew admittedly, I've never seen the episode, but from the information present, it seems as though the original comment was right, and there was little to no accountability for killing a kid. Now, I don't know about you, but where I come from, there is a keen difference between a second chance, and outright ignoring something. As for them dying having nothing to do with Jack, A, Jack outright says he was responsible for them, implying that he was their commanding officer, and therefore directly responsible for their actions, and in extension, their fate. B, not what I said. I said the proper excuse should be that Jack did nothing, and nobody else did anything because Jack theoretically didn't know about the incident until after his men were killed, which puts the entire scenario on a whole new light.

      Matt Jones but the actor is old and grey now, tricky to explain in a character who barely ages, unless they digitally de-aged him, or changed the actor, ooh, or change the timeline, he does get old after all, just waaay slower, like a century is a decade to him.
      How about in the first episode it’s explained or depicted that the whole Torchwood base got caught in a time loop that accelerated his ageing a millennia? He can a be a hot gun toting sexy daddy from then on.
