“we accept the “love” we *think* we deserve,” is such a heartbreaking, yet a true statement for many of us. this one hit really close to home. we know that darlin's broken & solitary upbringing in the pack played a part in their eventual toxic relationship with quinn, but i can't help but to think perhaps their familyhood/childhood also played a monumental role in their decision to be with him as well. all of that pain and contempt eventually consumed their entirety and left them in a state of sheer numbness.
there's research that suggests an individual who is depressed is more likely to find solace in physical pain because of the need to *feel* something- the need to feel grounded. thus, i can comprehend why darlin’ wanted quinn to be so ruthless to them- to be wrapped in his sheets, in his arms and to believe, “this is fine,” because he reminded them that they were flesh and blood without judgment, without remorse, and without shame.
such a well-written, tragically understandable character. well done, erik. despite the listener not having a face or voice, you’ve made them feel so genuine. instances where the listener feels like an actual living being are such immersive experiences and you've done incredibly well!
shit, i can only imagine what must be going through darlin’s head. staring straight ahead and watching quinn demean them in the most revolting and harrowing way with their hands hugging around their torso, rigid and refusing to look at david and the rest of the department’s employees beside them. presumably, they’ll refuse to look sam in the eye afterward as the self-disgust and self-loathing gnaws at them, enlivening imposter syndrome.

I JUST CANT. Reading this comment made me cry so hard because this is absolutely how darling is feeling. The frustration they mist be going through after waiting YEARS for this moment only to be denied access by Quinn, slowly tortured by watching him revealing everything to their mate. Hearing Quinn say ”they were my favorite thrall” made my stomach drop. Finally hearing more of darling’s story and relationship with Quinn absolutely broke me. The shit they had to go through, the trauma they must be bearing with them. And they seemed to have put their full trust in Quinn, only to later after SHEAR ABUSE finally seeing him for what he is, and then also having to go through more pain when he took his revenge on them. I need therapy, darlin needs it asap. I’m suprised Sam didn’t tear Quinns throat out.
I imagine Darlin not being able to look David and especially not Sam in the eyes after this, probably not wanting to be touched either since they feel so disgusted by themself and exposed by Quinn’s words. Going through that trauma all over agian times 10.

I think Darlin is looking at him through the glass wishing david wasn’t in the room. I think Quinn knows their watching him, I think he knows David is watching and he loves the idea of them thinking both David and Sam with think so much less of them. I think they are just sitting there while Quinn is explain everything he’s done to them, Sam and David listening. I bet they think David and Sam hate them.

The pure disgust I felt while listening to this is unmatched. Imagine you are in Tanks position. Your alpha standing next to you, your mate sitting in the room before you, listening while your manipulative ex boyfriend is exploiting your history together; explaining your old experience in depth. Talking about how you used to act around him, how you used to love him, how you used to love feeling him, and his touch. Imagine the shame that Tanks feels for once being in love with such a monster. Think about how they would feel. It literally sickens me just to think about, because I’ve been in a similar position, and it broke me. It shook me down to my core. This was so very well portrayed it is insane. It feels so real and enthralling (no pun intended). Kudos to GBA and Erik! You guys did fantastic!

that was absolutely twisted. quinn exploiting all the wrong-minded intimate moments spent with darlin just.. wow. obviously darlin was in a difficult place mentally and was led astray into a toxic relationship, but i can only imagine the humiliation, pain, and throwbacks darlin is experiencing behind that glass. for quinn to be capable of speaking so freely to sam, telling him all of him and darlin’s “stories”, sam not being able to walk out or jump towards quinn, all while darlin has no say or control over whatever truthful bullshit quinn is spitting out is insane. i absolutely adore your character and plot writing its out of this world.

I just started the audio and I just wanna say that the detail of Quinn's symbol being Darlin's moon symbol with claw marks through it is incredible.
The way Quinn's voice drips with venom fills me with so much anger and dread which is fucking incredible. Y'all both did an amazing job of voicing this incredibly tense moment.
I'm scared for how this will affect Darlin mentally having to watch your mate go through this torture as your abusive ex tells your current lover about everything they did together. I'm preparing to see some angst and comfort audios in the future at this rate. 🥲
well i'm definitely both immensely uncomfortable and also seething with rage now 😀 Quinn really is a piece of shit, wow. but on that note, this was an AMAZING performance from Good Boy Audios! his condescendingly playful tone throughout this whole thing really made me want to jump through the screen and smash Quinn's face into the wall. and since Darlin' was behind the mirror the whole time and had to listen to this too, i'm sure they're feeling very similar... i'm very excited for how this continues!!!!
Quinn is worse than Adam because he gets into Sam's head to start playing chess and Sam has just started to play checkers. Quinn in like the character JigSaw from the SAW franchise. Hopefully Quinn isn't as smart as I've given him credit for because Sam needs to find Darlin' then rip Quinn's throat out.

When Quinn questioned Sam's never bit Tank before, it almost sounded like he was implying that he might have to out of possible necessity in the future. Like...possible Sam turning Tank at the hand of an injury from Quinn ? (This is one of my theories mixed in with another I saw on Tiktok)

@@IAmAPo3t Yeah of course, I knew that they were blood bound. I was talking about the romantic bites Quinn gave Darlin'. I don't know where in the video but he started to gloat about how he tasted their blood in a lot of places. I thought it meant that he bit them like how Vincent does with Lovely.
