The sound of Sam's voice is so rich and smooth and comforting. The slow burn is going to have such a brilliant payoff. I can tell that already, considering how soft I am for Sam and Darlin' I am already.
Also, hearing him (or any of the boys) reassuring "I've got you" hits JUST right.
I read this right when he said it, and you are so right. The care the speaker has for listener each time there's an injury is just beautiful.

@@tiannataylor9586 The slow burn here means that a romantic relationship is going to happen, but there's more of a development with the story and plot leading to it. With the other series, the relationship has already been established. Like with Davey and Asher and Milo, for example, they're already in their relationships. With this and Avior, a relationship seems to be going to happen eventually, but there's a lead up to it that happens.

Sam is such a good protector character even though the listener is clearly a very strong werewolf. They work well together. They're a power couple, if you will. But I'll always feel bad for him for losing so much of his magic because of his *unwanted* turning. But at least he's still around. I love you Saaaam.
Also, his mentioning of all the pain he could feel from Fred, that broke my heart. I know how bad it hurts to not be able to help someone with their pain, especially when he is so used to be able to do at least *some* level of healing.
Listener is a vary strong werewolf
The nurturing sides of these him characters make it feel as if they've been watching me on the other end of their audios. Wither if it's pushing myself all the way to my breaking point, or not wanting to bother seeking medical assistance when I've needed them. I feel like the narratives of these amazing partners are filling in gaps that I'm currently missing in my own life. Reminding me to not forget my own self-care too.

I think to remember from the first meeting that Darling admitted this was a side project that they were hiding from David and the pack, when Sam commented about the alfa pack being known to be strict so he doubted that David was going to be happy if they complained about one of his werewolf invading vampire territory. So yeah I think Darling is going to get in a fuckton of trouble if David gets wind of these shenanigans lol
