Hi!! I found you through the Skam reactions, watched your Young Royals reactions and am now always looking most forward to seeing you react to Shameless. I just wanted to tell you that I really like your reactions and am always looking forward to see you pop up in my notifications, but please try not to stress yourself too much. I know it is probably hard, especially since this is a form of income to you and who doesn’t need this these days, but, as you probably know yourself, stress can be really detrimental to one’s health. So please put yourself first and ignore anyone who gives you a hard time about not uploading regularly - even yourself 😉 They don’t depend on an entertaining video coming out immediately but you depend on your health and I’d much rather know you take care of yourself and get as healthy as you can be than have regular videos. The ones who love your content will always be back for the next reaction and are aware of your health struggles anyways. Even I know and I don’t watch every last reaction of the creators I follow (bc out of disinterest for some shows, not the creator 😉). I am sure they understand, too. It’s the ones who only stay for the show momentarily trending that usually are the ones giving creators grief and a lot of them usually don’t stay long with one creator beyond that show anyway.

31:36 gosh do i hope that the writers actually thought that through and didn’t forget about the Grundy storyline… I feel like i’m a way they seriously couldn’t have forgot because this whole Betty plot this season is EXACTLY about what that fantasy of hers was about, an older faculty member taking advantage of a student or just overall being extremely creepy and inappropriate. Even if they did FOR SOME REASON forget about Grundy, they literally referenced how inappropriate that situation is with the book of Lolita. I’m 100% with you on that theory of their present selves sending messages to their 50’s selves or at least regaining consciousness in small ways that seem confusing but only because the memories they’re gaining back are out of context… Fingers crossed we get more answers soon because yeah, that classroom fantasy was sooo messed up and… yikes, just yikes. I’m very much still here for Barchie Endgame and seeing how this all ends.
there’s no way they didn’t think it through. like you said, they even talked about the book and how that’s exactly what happens in it. I didn’t put that together until you said it.. but they can’t be that stupid, can they? it was brought back up to a main plot point LAST SEASON. it’s gotta be their subconscious trying to make sense of their memories. at least I really hope so.
i’m honestly kind of terrified we’re gonna get NO episodes or time at all back in present day and the whole 50’s storyline was a bad way of writing in a story with an isolated ending to make the original comics tribute. i really really hope this is not the case because despite the criticism Riverdale gets, a reboot for its final season was not the move. Like you’ve mentioned in your videos, they should just embrace what Riverdale became and vice these characters we’ve been following since day one, the ending they deserve and have been building up to. Anyways, only time will tell. I love your videos, take all the time you need to get back on your feet, we’re all here for you. Happy pride month btw! ❤️

I really didn’t expect this plot to last more than 5 or so episodes. considering there’s like 3 weeks (or 2?) left and they’re still in the 50’s…. I feel like we’ll be getting one ep of them in present day. and I’m not even sure if it’ll be the full episode.
I don’t understand why they went with this as the last season. of course everything is going to affect the future, but a ton of it will also be pointless. I was so relieved when they finally did a time jump and the characters were adults… now here we are. I know it’ll all tie together in the end, but this is episode 9 and it still feels like they’ve started over from the beginning. I wish they would’ve at least given us some scenes that were pushing us toward present day. most episodes don’t have anything at all. ugh.

I disagree that none of this matters. Choni's storyline clearly matters, and thus Fangs' matters and I think Kevin's will, too. Obviously a good half of the storylines are just wasting time and fucking around, but RAS has said over and over again that these characters have their emotional memories and what they're doing in the 50s reflects that, and thus can mean a lot. Like Toni only having eyes for Cheryl and not looking twice at Fangs matters and says a lot about her feelings in the present, etc. But having said all that, I don't think Betty's feelings on marriage have any impact on the present, but just that the idea of marriage as its sold to her in the 50s is not appealing to her, and understandably so.
As for the Betty fantasy, it was in extremely poor taste. It was obvious that they wanted to give Betty a fantasy that showed she desired to be in control of her sexuality/sexual situations, since her mother is taking so much of it away from her, but I definitely think they could have found a different way to illustrate that than a teacher/student fantasy, which I think would have been tasteless regardless, but especially with Archie.
I don’t necessarily mean that *NONE* of it matters. i’m being dramatic. I mostly am talking about some of the random side storylines and the fact that these characters have also regressed in age, so of course teenage Betty/Archie/Cheryl/Toni etc with no memories, aren’t always going to match up with how they actually feel deep down. Betty saying she doesn’t want to get married for example. she’s supposed to be like 16 AND has no memories, so of course that line doesn’t matter for the future. that being said, i’ve noticed more and more that it definitely seems like they are becoming more and more aware of their true selves. like Toni’s storyline of finding herself for example. it feels like their subconscious knows who they truly are and has these memories, but their current mind is trying to put together all the pieces.
I just can’t believe that they’d write that in. they could have easily made a similar fantasy, but with her as a teenage student and Archie as a teenage student. we know the writers can be ridiculous sometimes, but can they really be that dumb??
i’m hoping it’s another thing like i mentioned before, where Betty has these memories and her subconscious is trying to make sense of it in a twisted and dark way. if that isn’t the case, i’ll be extremely disappointed. they literally brought the storyline back up LAST SEASON and explored Archie’s trauma… ugh.

I’m still not over the teacher x student sexual fantasy that they wrote. It has absolutely no correlation to the story. They just decided out of all fantasies it should be that specific one? I’ve never felt that creeped out and disgusted by the writers tbh. You can tell by watching most of the episodes during S7 that it’s written by men (sorry not sorry). So tasteless
