    does tightness in that area cause knee pain? if so, will foam rolling/stretching that muscle relieve the knee pain?

    I seems to have this problem as I have chondromalacia verified by MRI but PT hasn’t helped much. Doing decline single leg squat and hamstring and quad stretch take the pain away a bit, but the knee pain persists when I run. What do you suggest I do? Keep stretching the quads? Thanks!

      Hi Cindy,
      Thank you very much for your feedback.
      Knee pain is often referred from the hip. More often from the hip joint.

    Hello, I liked to ask a question.
    I injured my knee about 30 days ago, the doctor diagnosed me as a ACL tear just through a Lachman Test and told me to do surgery as soon as possible, and ofcourse I asked for MRI before doing so, but the doctor rejected it and said it was a waste of time. I mean isn't that the gold standar before doing a surgery?
    So I was wondering if it was an ACL tear or not, because on the fourth day after injury, I am possible to walk without cane, but still, I'm limping till the 2nd week walk like a tip toe walk on my injured feet, but then I realised something till now, that my VMO muscle(inner from thigh) was smaller from the other foot. Does it occur because of the injury, or does the VMO muscle get smaller because it occur from an MCL tear or sprain?
    My MRI scheduled is in 2 weeks, now I'm deeply confused which doctor or psio should I trust.

      on my 3rd week, I can walk normally but not like a normal state, today is day 30 and I'm able to walk normal like before but still there's a pain in my knee.

    In 2018 when I was 10 years old, I was trying to get up a concrete plateform. I hit my knee aginst the platform edge very hard. In my right knee, above the patella, I got hit. Since then, it has happened 6 times that while running, my patella displaces slightly, I lose balance and fall down. It is very painful. I can hear its sound while falling. I think I damaged my medial retinaculum or vastus medialis.

    • @Nielasher
      @Nielasher  Před rokem +1

      Hi Tana,
      If the problem is coming from a Myofacial trigger point and you have had other structures ruled out by a professiional, you can try deep stroking massage or Inhibition Compression Technique over the relevant trigger points using your fingers or some of the tools on the market for this. Try this once a day and se how you react you may need to adjust the frequency as you improve.

      Thanks so much. This makes so much sense to me because I feel pain shooting up my quad muscle and inside of my thigh. One of my Dr.‘s said it’s arthritis, which I know I have but only minor. The other said I have no VMO muscle and I have to work that muscle out, which I’m doing but it’s not really helping.
