Is it possible to spread this without a polisher tool? Would one simply have to cope with their arm falling off at some point, or is the approach entirely useless if one doesn’t have a polisher?
As always, your instructional videos are spot on! I always enjoy them. Thanks for all you do making your videos and I look forward to your next one.
Thanks Joseph, I appreciate the positive feedback!
Pan, as always thank you for the videos. You explain this knowledge to us in such an organize way, helping me feel more confident in detailing.
You can do it!
Pan, I cannot believe it! I was JUST looking up how to polish B pillars and the notification for your video popped up😊
Thanks for your professional explanation and making detailing my car more fun!
You are so welcome!
Awesome!! I have a new mustang Mach e and it has these piano black areas. Piano black looks sweet but it scratches SO easy. Plus there is a key pad and the button to open the door behind the pillar. So it is a super high touch area! I literally went to the garage and followed your tutorial and it fixed all the swarls it's amazing! Thank you! Now I just have to wait for the fresh ceramic coating to cure. Also I'm using Avalon King ceramic coating that I picked up after watching your channel. It's awesome. Hope that it helps reduce future scratching a bit. Thanks so much Pan!
FYI ceramic coatings don't prevent scratches. That's not what they're designed to do. Only PPF can protect the paint against scratches. Ceramic coatings are meant to add chemical resistance, UV protection, gloss, slickness, hydrophobics, long term durability and self-cleaning properties.
Great short video Pan! Always nice to get my morning fix of PTO🙌🏼
Let's go! :)
My first time polish ever.. done 😊 Big thanks to Pan! Think I never saw as much videos from one person but it was worth it!
Awesome! Thank you! Enjoy applying the ceramic coating!
Thank You for a thorough demo of this process! It's the same way that I do it!
Merry Christmas, Pan 🎄😃
Same to you!
This is such a great example of quickly turning horrible into perfect! I just did this a few months ago. It's magic!!

Sounds nice! Personally i went with polish from CarPro, which ithink been around on Pan's channel before. Great thing bout those was they leave basically zero residue product & great result. Good luck with the Optimum stuff! 🙂

@@tredfxman thank you and same to you. Carpro is a staple in the industry. I like the optimum having no hydrocarbons and it should work well with the mckees n 914

Very helpful video Pan, being truthful I have avoided this part of the car but you have now given me the ideal solution, as always brilliant advice. Thank you.

Great video my bru. These piano gloss sections are always the roughest to look at because the owners see them every single time they get in the vehicle. I haven't tried the Rupes pads. Will have to give it a go. Epic tips as always sir.
Thanks!
Great video sir and a pro in your descriptions and story telling

I cant tell you how timely this is lol i just got a new car and about to put protection on it but have the same swirls on the black pillars but didnt know how to exactly go about it and u just post this lol thank you pan and also as an idea to post more specific videos like these to talk more in detail of the situation like shampooing carpets or extract dirt from carpets, how to clean headliners, headlight restoration, etc. but thank you again pan 🙂
Awesome! I read your mind Joshua! 🤪
Another good clip Pan; have black pillars on both my 23 Taco and wife’s 24 Highlander; will implement this technique on both!!
Thanks! Yeah good looking pillars really help to complete the overall detailed look of a car.
Superb tutorial. Very helpful.
Glad it was helpful!
Since those pillars are relatively small, for extra protection, apply PPF then a ceramic coating. Scratch free for a long time. 👍🏼
But the ppf will scratch easier
@@dannymarin6307 Yeah but it can be peeled off.

Very useful video as always, Pan. These piano black panels are on so many cars, and most look awful after just a couple of years. Even with the safest of washing/drying methods, they still get beat up over time. My Challenger's trunk panel has this, and need to be sooo careful with it. I'll hit it with Novus #1 on occasion to give it a fighting chance.
Thanks for the feedback Ken!
I like these simple task oriented videos
Thanks! I appreciate the feedback!
Yes! On my to do list as soon as I get the equipment. My new car came from the dealership with horrible swirling in the gloss black B pillars.
👍🏻
Thanks Pan
Finally!! Thank you, someone that shows how to get rid of scratch on gloss black trim! I'm guessing I can do this on my interior trim as well?
You sure can!

I have had exceptional results on the piano black trim using Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Polish and Wax using a polishing pad on my DA. Correction and protection in one go. Found out about the Hybrid Solutions products on this channel, so thanks for that Pan!
Cool !
Very good job Pan! I switched over to Rupes pneumatic air polishers with their pads....great results in less time.

I would suggest people get some PPF and wrap it to protect it from scratches,.It would last between 1-3 years and It depends on the quality of PPF.

Thank you for the tutorial.👍🏻 id love to see a trim coating video. I always have a hard time with getting dressings on paint. I’m not sure of the order of application. Paint then trims or vise-versa. Thanks again.
You can coat the trim at the same time as you’re coating the paint, assuming the specific coating you are using goes on paint and trim.
You can do all the paintwork, and then go around the car and do all the plastic trim.
Merci pour tes video sa améliore mon experiences

I had black matt finish on the pillars of my 2011 Toyota Camry . Mistakenly sprayed 303 Protectant and didn't wipe off . Dried to a white haze that took an effort to get off . I believe I sprayed rubbing alcohol and used a Mr. Clean magic eraser , all purpose . Then multiple coats of Meguiars back to black .
Merci Pan !!
Merci! :)
It really makes a big difference. Good job.
Im getting my windows tinted. In Ontario the side fronts legally cant be lower than 70% tint. Have you ever had problems with your tint with authorities in QC?
As long as you don't go overboard with limo like tints, they don't bother you. They have to be able to clearly see you in the front cabin through your windows.
Pan, thanks again as always. I was just wondering how to do this properly. Great content 👌 Do you have a video on rock ship repair on paint? Thanks for sharing your knowledge and passion 👍

I got some light scratches in the piano-black plastic on the drivers side B pilar on BMW 530i (G30) after opening the drivers door a little to much in the wrong place. after trying to search online for a solution and not finding anything useful, I gambled on using some Autoglym Super resin polish and a foam applicator and microfibre towel.. Didn't dare use a machine, but I managed to remove almost all the scratches/marks by hand.. But it sure would have been good to have had this video then..
Awesome video as always! Any suggestions on how to detail your black window trim on the bottom of the window which tends to look bad and spotty after a few years? Could be because of degreaser when I've been lazy and took the car to the automated carwasher :) any way to solve or need to get new ones?
Any tire shine or trim restorer will make it brand new
I used the same Flex PXE-80 with a 2" APS backing plate and a Rupes 2" yellow foam pad with Sonax Perfect Finish. I also have the APS 3: Backing plate for my Flex PXE-80 which is a higher quality and less vibration that the stock Flex 3" Backing Plate. I love Sonax Perfect Finish, but a lot of detailers prefer the Koch Chemie M3/02 Micro Cut polish and the Koch Kemie 3" Purple Foam pad. The APS Backing Plates and extensions for the Flex PXE-80 are really nice to use.
Sounds great!

Hi Pan, what would you recommend to spray on Led Headlights to keep the snow off, I just switched to Led's from Hid's on my 4x4 pickup and it looks like a huge mistake, as the snow is sticking to the Headlights and not melting. Thank You and Merry Christmas!!
Pan! Not related to this video but, Do you recommend getting ceramic coating for the newly leased black car?? I got my first ever new car and I want to keep this clean and shine look while I’m riding it. I got a quote from local guy at 600, but I couldn’t decide if it is worth. Should spray coating type products and hand wash be enough for leased car?
Great video Pan! Just one quick follow up. I have a BMW x5 with m sport pro pack and the black window gloss is gone grayish (looks to be discoloured from UV). I was considering getting those parts wrapped for permanent black gloss but would this method also restore the colour as well as remove scratches? Big hello from Ireland 🇮🇪

Great job. How would you go about doing a matte black pillers.
Thank you
You never polish matte black surfaces. That would make them glossy.
first time saw this so mean we can fix this , nice , do you have anything that mostly in the SUV trunk plastic panels on the sides get scratch , any idea how we can fix that ... please guide or make a video if you can
Thank You Pan. Santa is bringing me some detailing goodies so I am excited. Lol, it's mostly re-stock as my son and I are low on our favorites. Every time I walk up to one of our cars that has this type of trim in similar condition I say to myself, '"Man I need to fix that". With my wife being in the Industry, I'm thinking I will correct them and have her guy put PPF over them. Need her to ask the question will the PPF interfere with the touch lock (Keyless) (which we don't use) on the one car that has it.
I don't use PPF so I'm not sure about that. You would have to ask your PPF installer.
Great tips as always extremely helpful. Do you have any videos for cleaning /protecting vinyl tonneau covers ?from all videos I’ve watched of yours haven’t seen any trucks. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
I don't have a video on that, but it's quite a simple process if you have the proper products and tools. Here's what I recommend:

Love your vids.
Do your have any tip for removing stain from BMW shadow line trim.

A light hand polish usually does the trick. Of course I can't see your specific issue, but you can start with that.
I found the perfect Chemical: Flitz Polish for metal, plastic and fiberglass, it is kind of expensive @ $13.50 for 7 Oz, but the liquid form only takes 1-2 drops per pillar. It is a polish and claims nonabrasive, but it must have some very, very fine abrasives in it. It made my pillars look like clear mirrors after just a very light circular application with microfiber towel and a quick buff before it dries with a second microfiber towel. They do make cream that will probably work on deeper scratches, but for everyday swirls marks it works great. did all the pillars and mirrors on a Lincoln SUV in 20 minutes start to finish with a spray wet ceramic protectant. Just have plenty of clean microfiber cloths and a spray bottle of water to wet before applying wet spray ceramic protectant. I used Turtle Hybrid as it is good on any non-porous surface. Remember this plastic is soft and, in most case, has little to none clear coat,
the less pressure the better the results, no real pressure while rubbing needed.
Pan, where you using the random orbit setting on the machine. Thanks
Hi Pan, is that a low tack tape that you use? Great video as ever! Merry Christmas
Links to everything in the description under the video. ;)
Will this also work on faded plastic from someone waxing my car? Looks like the detailer got some on the plastic causing it to fade.
I have a couple vehicles that have that shiny gloss front end it’s like a grill guard tho and Every time I wash it it clears up the cloudiness but then when it dries it comes right back any idea on how to fix that it’s really time consuming when I’m there trying ti clean every little crevasse and sometimes is hard to even reach anything in there.
will this technique work with refrigerator plastic liners?
