      People with class and elegance and higher standards appreciate gloss black. Think rolls Royce, maybach customers. It’s the trailer park crowd that drinks wine out of a paper cup and has spam for dinner that can’t appreciate gloss black interiors.

    Another great vlog, sign of a good quality trim for that 2016 that’s in great condition, I really don’t like the piano black but it’s in so many models, had it in a 2017 Mazda 3 and was appalling , all scratched within days and ruined, I find it’s pretty fragile in BMW as well, but in my new VW t-roc it’s pretty good but always trying to be so careful , just wish it was Matt finish 🙄, cheers Phil 👍🏻

    • @MirandaDetailing
      @MirandaDetailing  Před 9 měsíci +2

      Thanks. Actually anything will make that soft black finish. It’s going to get messed up over time anyway. You could use those super soft brushes if you like also. But if the surface is really gross over time, you may need a slightly more aggressive brush anyway. I would analyze the situation and see what it needs.

    I made the mistake by using the small brush on the end of my small portable vaccuum cleaner, for several months i had no problem it cleaned the dust away and looked crystal clear around the switches.
    Towards a year of having the car i've started to notice minor scratches which is stopping the piano black plastic from popping out like it used to.
    I then started to use just a microfibre cloth but that just ended up sticking all the dust into the switches 🤮. My OCD can't take it, so i'm going to try out some of your solutions.

      @basstion4146 Před 9 měsíci +1

      Use a soft bristle brush. (Only use it for this purpose) and lightly dust it while holding a vacuum next to it to suck up the dust kicked up by the light brush. The brush won’t scratch.

    • @MirandaDetailing

      Good question. I’m really honest about coatings and usually a customer who wants one will already know a little about them. But you’re right, I tell them that coatings are not bullet proof and they don’t offer actual scratch resistance or bug and sap resistance. I do tell them that it is an great investment. It makes the paint much easier to clean and maintain, and offers great water and dirt repellency. I usually start with an entry level 1 year coating like Gyeon One.

      Ohhhh boy...wow...well...please read in this entire comment to the end. In the title it specifically says, "How to clean and protect...gloss black trim". not how to polish, not how to remove scratches, etc. so of course one would logically conclude that it would not include any but what is stated in the title and description. no false claims or clcik bait here at all. plain simple text and transparency...as stated in the video at 3:20, " it did not need to be polished". Therefore... NO, this video does not include "how to treat scratches and swirls on piano black". The video shows exactly what it says it would...nothing more or less. *sigh*
