Coves are hands down my favorite cabin so far. We have an Ocean Suite on our next cruise, the Celebration. I'm excited for the cabin type (first time in a suite), but honestly a little bummed I won't have that up close and personal to the ocean balcony. People worry about the lower deck which I can't understand. It's an extra 20 seconds on the elevator, and a HUGE advantage coming home from port days. Kind of cracks me up that these are generally a little cheaper than a high floor balcony when, in my opinion, they are far superior!
What most impresses me about Mardi Gras is the vast improvement of the pool. I have always hated the dinky pools on the Lido, one of the main reasons we don't do Carnival. But this is great and will be one of the things that we look forward to.
This was a great redemption cruise! Dee & Jay, thank you so much for taking us along with you guys. It seems like this was more relaxing than adventurous. But that's good y'all enjoyed yourself on the Mardi Gras yet again! Can't wait for the next adventure. ♥️
I’m bummed that we missed you in the piano bar. We had already been there a few times, so we decided not to go on the last night. Mike is great, we had so much fun singing and laughing. 😃🎹🍹🍸

When it comes to ordering a drink from the bar with the cheers package, do you always tip extra? We did prepaid gratuities. But sometimes I feel awkward writing $0. Thanks in advance. 😊
I bring singles and tip $1 per drink with my drink package. Cash tips I have been told are kept by the person you give it to. Our service went from great to exceptional!
So every drink package has 18% added for gratuities, so you are paying a tip on top of a tip. The prepaid gratuities actually only cover dining staff and your cabin attendants, not bar staff.
Yep, we realize that. On our last cruise though, paying $1 tip per drink we had the server on Lido find us a table and get our drinks by the time we were at the table.
Did they not have the movie in your cabin? When we were on the Horizon a couple of years back it rained out the movie one night but when we went to the cabin we found in on in the cabin that night. We were pleasantly surprised. It was one we had not seen before and had really wanted to see. We don’t watch a lot of movies and never go to theaters anymore. Think last time I went to a theater was in 2008. Looks like you had fun that evening without the movie. The music is usually a good way to go. Thanks for the videos loved them.
I thought instead of an in the shower with Jay you were going to do an On the Toilet with Jay and discuss the comfort of seating and problems of the toilet paper reach. Something like that 🤣

We just wrapped Mardi Gras yesterday, so NCL Escape should start Sunday or Monday, I'd say. If we have solid internet on our next sailing, I'm *hoping* to post the series uninterrupted in seven daily parts with no gap days... we shall see!! :P
We’ve been there so many times but a lot is closed right now. We did an excursion on our Celebrity sailing and are planning one again on our Allure sailing, so we have some actual Nassau content coming soon!! :P
I am thinking about applying for Carnival's credit card. You mentioned you are shareholders, as am I. Do they let you get the fun points on the credit card (if you also have that) and OBC? I didn't know if they would consider that "double dipping" and only allow one perk! TYIA. Love your videos!
Sure, you still get points with Barclays for using the card, and the shareholder OBC is a separate program. They’ve been declining the OBC on discount rate cruises lately, but for most rate codes, it’s good!! :D
