They surely need to announce Switch 2 around Q3 or Q4 of 2024. If they announce such a short time before the release date, like in Switch case, then you will end up with the same situation as before, where all game they have is 1 Zelda. It was what people would bring up each time, jokes of 2017 like "I like your TOP 10 games on PS4, Could you please make a TOP 1 Games rank on Switch? hehe"

Seems like a pretty fair reason if that is the reason to delay it since that was one of the reasons why the Wii U failed and the switch succeeded, but it would suck to wait a bit longer.
This delay could also kill them. Having basically no games for the next year and maybe even longer since one of the insiders did say March as the earliest. This would kill interest in the brand and any hype. Nintendo already lost the best chance to mention the existence of this console last year when they were really gaining momentum. This is going to be the Wii U all over again.
What about the 3DS? It didn’t have enough games for launch.

It's funny seeing people lose their minds over whether a company announces something or not. And even allow rumors and "leaks" to dictate the truth, when they're not even proven right.

Yeah, I feel like, while the launch of the console has been delayed, the announcement of the console has not.
In fact, I feel like this delay is to ensure that they have enough stock at launch since more time will pass between the initial announcement & the launch of the console.
I wouldn't be surprised if the Switch successor doesn't come out until 2025.
Because if they were truly gonna release it this Christmas, they would have officially announced the console by now, or have given us a codename for the upcoming console.
Because the Atlantis was first mentioned in 1996, & then released in 2001 under Game Boy Advance. The Revolution was first mentioned in 2004, & then shown off in 2005, & then released in 2006 under the name Wii.
The NX was first mentioned in 2015, then shown off in 2016 under the name Switch, & then released in 2017.
Plus, the Switch is doing/selling really well, & Nintendo learned the hard way by discontinuing the Wii early, & releasing the Wii U early that you don't walk away from a slot machine when it's paying off, friends! And they have been known to delay consoles.
The 64 was supposed to release in 1995, but was delayed to 1996.
Game Boy Advance was supposed to release in 1996, but was delayed to 2001. And, the Switch was supposed to release in 2016, but got delayed to 2017. All I want is a Switch port of Yoshi's Woolly World, & I'll be satisfied!
11:28 no it was called Star Fox Grand Prix and no it wasn't made up by nintendo. It was actually a fan made thing that went way too far. "Did you know gaming" made a video months ago discovering the truth about the leak.

Seriously the current Switch still has a lot to offer so Nintendo’s “rumoured” delay isn’t necessarily a bad thing especially those who are still new to the Switch like me who are late to the party with Switch and I’ve got a backlog of games and I’m making up for lost time with the Switch and my Switch journey has just begun and I still have plenty of games to play and to buy before I’m done with the current Switch as I’m very much enjoying my Switch which I’ve had since October. Nintendo’s got a plan in place for the current Switch as we don’t know all of Nintendo’s remaining 2024 lineup, just what they’ve revealed so far.
I believe this delay will "affect" somehow the release of games this year. I expect to see a lot of third party games on top of the xbox and Ms games that will for sure come to the switch this year. To keep the console useful and relevant for the rest of the year while the ramp up to the release of the next console and the games that come with it. Excellent video as always. 😎👍
I am on team 2025 and honestly I would wait and see what Nintendo will be planning the roadmap for this year I just hate how they are so secrective.
Nintendo is not secrective, we know all the games for the rest of the switch 1: mario/donkey kong, peach game, paper mario, splatoon dlc, luigis mansion, pokemon. It‘s a better last lineup than most other systems had in their last year.
Then being secretive makes it more exciting to me.

For the people who are genuinely worrying that they'll have nothing to play on their Nintendo Switch this year, here are a couple of tips:
1. Play your backlog. Don't deny it. You have one.
2. Play some of the third-party games.
3. Play some of the indie games that are similar to what Nintendo makes.
4. Play some of the previous or other platforms if you have them.
5. Play through some of your games again.
6. Do something else other than playing.
If you're wondering, yes. I'm getting tired of the people who whine that only play Nintendo games and not appreciating some of the other games (Be it third-party or indie) on the Switch. I'm not trying to be mean. Just pointing out that there are other games that deserve more attention.

If true my guesses on way it is delay is one they git inside dirt on hiw powerful the steam deck 2, new psp, and the xbox handheld will be and the decided to beef up the hardware. Second they delayed it because they want the all time sells record.

I’m still team 2024 but if not it’s definitely early 2025
By the time it is released nobody will be able to afford it because of the dollar crashing and not being worth much.
So the rumour is that Nintendo are due to beat the Greatest console of all time if they get another 15million units sold for the Switch, they are on schedule to do 19million this year which would give them that title and then some. This is what Nintendo want to do, if they announce a Switch 2 people will stop buying the Switch and wait until the Switch 2 launches instead killing their growth and potential to dethrone PlayStation2. So the reason its been delayed and likely wont be announced until Fall of this year is because they want that best game console of all time record. Which is terrible for us because it means they wont be creating many if any triple A games for this year since its just a gimmie year for the end of the switch life cycle. And those leaks are supposed to come out of the earnings calls in Japan.

A $350 Switch OLED been out 2.5 years & sold like 15 million units, but people really believe casuals going to upgrade to a $400 Switch. Nintendo will sell the most consoles of all time, something I knew in 2019, but it's also got 1 foot in the grave. I guarantee Nintendo will drop a powerful home console before end of decade, which isn't that far off anymore.
