LOL I saw that! I know I mentioned in the video that an Indie Direct wouldn't of shocked me (even though I can't speak and called it an indirect lol) but it's funny it got announced so soon after my vid. Did you get to watch it? If so did anything catch your eye?

You know that one sentence? The one that goes "don't put all your eggs in one basket"?
Yeah this is the prime example of why you want to have some sort of variety and/or a way for your viewers to continue watching you even if you aren't talking about [INSERT TOPIC (e.g Nintendo)].
It kinda reminds me of somebody (who've i've forgotten their name) who made basically only FNAF for a long time. You might know him as that guy who got into controversy due to Fan Art. Anyways, his channel is basically dead now and it's due to him only doing FNAF and his viewers only being interested in FNAF. I'm kinda guilty on that when it comes to watching some people... anyways that's a way to get "dead subcribers". Subcribers who don't watch you because you aren't playing a certain game.
Why is this relevant? Because if some of these people attempt to branch out, they'll lose some amount of viewers. It really depends on how they handle in transferring viwers. Especially with the "Nintendo News Drought", you really have to scrape up either obscure articles to keep Subcribers, or do something else, risking possibly your viewership going down.
I've got my own Switch 2 opinions, I'm keeping those out though since I believe that they have no point in what I'm talking about. Basic Point: make sure you're not just simply doing one game/company. I got tired doing that myself, and doing variety is great since I can space out certain videos as well as get ideas more easily in general.
alright that's all from me, and i'll just casually leave now

I agree with you, but I think it’s more of a balancing act of finding a niche while also leaving some room for flexibility and creativity. I think there’s an art to it, and while niching down can help attract an initial audience, you’re right, having some flexibility allows for growth and experimentation. But I think it should still relate to your niche. The best example I can think of is a seafood restaurant. Seafood is their “niche” people go in to eat their seafood. Pasta is Italian food; therefore, you can’t serve lasagna because your clientele (or audience in this case) aren’t interested in that from your specific restaurant (or channel). However, even though something has nothing to with your niche, you can still add your own spin. So maybe you can’t serve lasagna, but your clients would probably be interested in a seafood lasagna (hopefully that make sense lol).
Ultimately though I think a part of the core issue is like anything, once money is involved perspective and intentions starts to shift. Although I think they should get compensated for the work they put in. When your livelihood depends on it, it often shows in your work. Especially in creative fields like content creation. When there's financial pressure, it can be tempting to stick to what's safe and proven to work rather than taking risks. However, for those who genuinely enjoy what they do for a living outside of CZcams, there's often more room to explore and take those creative risks.
I understand that for some people becoming a full-time content creator would be they’re ideal end goal. But I think being able to find happiness, stability, and sustainability outside of CZcams first can also help ripen your mind for creativity. At least that’s my perspective anyways. :)

So do you feel bad for Nintendo CZcamsrs or Nintendo News CZcamsrs? There's so many games and ideas for Nintendo content if it's not news related. Btw I'm not here to be an @$$ but am genuinely curious

Hey no worries at all, I’m always glad to clarify!!
When I say that I am starting to feel bad for Nintendo CZcamsrs, I specifically mean the daily Nintendo CZcamsrs (which does often mean news). And yes, I do agree with you Nintendo has a deep well of topics people can use to talk about. I feel like a really good example of that is the CZcamsr Scott the Woz. even though he doesn’t post as much as he used to on his main channel I feel like he’s really good at taking really obscure Nintendo topics and making something really special out of them.
As for the why I’m starting to feel bad is because I feel like people tend to forget that on the receiving end of the nasty comments they leave on a video is a human. Now don’t get me wrong. I am fully aware that hate comments are part of the territory but for these people, this is how they keep the lights on. It also creates this weird situation where they kind of promised to have a video every day, so people expect a video every day. But if there’s nothing interesting going on, they usually have to find obscure articles that has no real value. As we agree on, Nintendo is a treasure trove for topics. But if you have to talk about Nintendo every day, original content can be tricky. Original content takes time to ideate and develop so pumping out a high-quality videos every day is unfeasible so it kind of puts them in a “heads I win, tails you lose” situation if that makes sense.
Of course I don’t expect to change the world with this video, but I thought it was an interesting topic worth discussing. :)
Hopefully that clears any questions you had, but if not ask away!

nintendo youtubers only have themselves to blame for speculating for literally 6 years while everyone told them to shut the fuck up about it already until there's real confirmation

I feel bad for them too. Between the horrid company practices, treatment toward emulation, and the rip-off that is NSO compared to free ROMs on a freaking mini PC doing better (including Switch) I'm done giving Nintendo money lol.

I agree. Rumors and leaks are two separate things, but I feel like at this point, many of these content creators are reporting and discussing rumors as if they were leaks since they know they can swing it in a way that will get more clicks.
