Fun fact: Padmes Maids knew about the relationship between her and Anakin. They caught them kissing once, but they’re so loyal to Padme that they didn’t tell anyone. It was probably them who put Anakin’s necklace on Padme’s body and later in her grave.
Besides, everyone on Naboo believe that Padme was killed by Vader and Anakin died trying to protect her.

The fact that the people of Naboo believe that Padmè and Anakin died because of Vader can be read in the comics of Darth Vader. In this, Vader visits Padmès grave and meets a group of rebels called the “Amidalas”, whose members are also the former Maids of Padmé (for example Sabè, Padmès' double from Episode I) The Amidalas then confront Vader with his actions and a fight ensues. But the rebels quickly realize they don’t stand a chance. Vader decides not to kill them (probably out of respect and love for Padmè) Sabè then accompanies Vader to Padmès grave and there is also the necklace that Anakin gave her (Sabè also says that it comes from Anakin).
In another comic book, which is mainly about a mission of Padmè,we learn that Padmès Maids knew about their relationship.
When Anakin and Padmè kissed just before Padmè left, they were caught by their maids. Anakin was shocked, but Padmé assured him that her maids were discreet and trustworthy. Later we also see a conversation between the two maids. One is a little uncertain about the relationship between Padmé and Anakin. The other then says that she is happy for Padmè, because Padmè sacrifices her whole life for the Republic and Naboo and is only really happy in those moments with Anakin.
I don’t remember exactly what the titel of the comic is.
I also didn’t read both comics myself, but saw videos on CZcams.

Obi-Wan saw Anakin and Padme's relationship exactly like his and Satine's, however I feel like Obi-Wan believed (or deluded himself to believe) that Anakin was like him and didn't act on those feelings, that Anakin's sense of duty was strong enough to keep himself in check. So when Obi-Wan says to Padme "Anakin's the father, isn't he" in RotS, he's just confirming how deep Anakin and Padme's relationship really went.
I mean clear that he didnt want to seperate them bc he saw that padme gave anakin hope and joy in his life. But a little advice about how to deal with this relationship may have changed the history...

The arguments between Anakin and Padme really made their relationship feel more real and relatable instead of a fantasy where everything was nice and mushy until Anakin turned to the dark side.
While I agree the arguments they had in TCW fleshed out their relationship more and gave them more nuance, I have to mention that the whole point of Anakin and Padme’s relationship was that it IS supposed to resemble a fantasy-esque love story. They’re meant to be seen as naive, love birds, soft, cheesy and everything else. That’s what makes the betrayal form Anakin in ROTS impactful. Because Anakin would *never* turn on Padmé like that. GL said he wrote them with the idea in mind that they’re going to be old fashioned and basically ideal. Anakin and Padmé weren’t meant to be a normal couple who the world could relate too. They were an engrossing tragic love story that could’ve been told in fairytales or a Shakespearean play.

I always wonder why most don’t see (or talk about it if they do) that when Anakin shows up and beats up Clovis to him he literally caught the guy sexually assaulting his wife from his point of view. He shows up and see/hears Padmé “Clovis no!” but the dude doesn’t stop even though he not only didn’t get consent but an outright rejection. Like Anakin went farther than need be for sure but I mean I get where’s he’s coming from in a certain way.

Great time to talk about how much I love the Clovis arc because it really shows off Anakin’s toxic behaviours. He’s our main character, and he displayed obvious signs of possessiveness and gaslighting towards Padme. But because we also saw all of his good sides, we still loved him like she did. She, like many women, fall prey to behaviours like this and still stay with their partners because they love them, and clone wars seriously helped make her position understandable.
it also made clear that Anakin will do everything to protect Padme, which also makes his fall to the Dark Side after Palpatines promises much more relateable
