Alan, thanks for another great recap. I really enjoy your channel. No “Monday morning quarterbacking here” as you are the real deal, knowing what these participants re actually going through. Looking forward to next weeks recap.
Great video! Thanks for your insight that comes from your experience! I watched the episode the night it was on, but I got a lot more out of it after hearing your video! Tyvm. ❤❤❤
Thank you for your recap. I’d rather hear it from you who has been there done that, than some wannabe expert who knows how to google. I especially appreciate the way you spoke about Peter. I feel so sad for him, not because he tapped out but because he felt emotions must be hidden. I hope these eight days can help heal him.
When I first started watching this show I pegged Peter as being the first one to leave. Right from the start he seemed way out of his comfort zone and really not mentally equipped for the aloneness. I guess you need lots of different types of people or they would all be staying till they died of starvation 😁. Loving these recaps.
1. Your choice to pee onto the moss next to you late at night instead of going through all the trouble of getting up, getting dressed, and going out in the very cold and dark to do your business reminds me of part of my military field training where the rule about going 1 or 2 at any time -- including late at night -- was you had to go to the latrine wearing all your gear, and you had to go there with your battle buddy wearing all his gear. The latrine was a long walk from our area. Being woken up by an urgent need to go, getting up and getting dressed in a 2-man tent in the middle of the night in the dark or with a red light, and then taking that long walk in the dark or with a red light was hard enough by yourself. Add to that waking up your exhausted battle buddy from a deep sleep, explaining the problem, and waiting on his groggy grumpy self to get dressed while your bladder is bursting. We had a tree line near us, but we quickly learned the cadre kept a close watch on that tree line after 'lights out' (the Army has night vision). ... Well, you can do the math. 2. Asian families eat fish heads like a delicacy as a matter of course. I couldn't imagine not picking a fish head clean, normally.
Haha! Thanks Alan for showing us your fat pic. Misery loves company! Just kidding, if it was any other show I’d be embarrassed by my buttcrack and chubbyness. Thank goodness I’m not on the bachelor. 😂 Great video, will share to my socials. Dub
Really good recap tenta! Im looking forward to watching episode 4 of alone next week! I want to tell you my favorite memory that I have of you and Mr, kopp probably when you were subbing for Mr Steadman and I just remember watching Mr Kopp come in the room with Bridget McGuire and you guys just made me smile I just wanted to say thank you tenta! I had a lot of fun in English 8 with you! And now I'm on my journey two grade 10! And I can't wait to watch the show next week!
As far as Peter, I don't criticize his psychological reasons for tapping out. What I criticize is his statement that he had proven his skills over his eight days in the contest. The test of Alone is facing the growing challenges over weeks and months as winter comes on, which he did not do.
I haven't actually watched the episode yet. I know it's going to be a tough one to see. Figured I'd watch the recaps first So I know what to expect...haha
I think contestants should be financially penalized if they quit simply because they miss their family. It denies others who could have been chosen to be on show
@@Ray-555 My fellow Alaskan who built "rock house" and won wasn't particularly close emotionally to any family member before coming on the show. I'm glad people miss their family, but these contestants have prior extensive alone time in the woods (several days/weeks)

Now this is insight you don’t get anywhere else!
I took your good advice and added more insight! I owe you a thank you!🙂
I really appreciate all that you add up to the episode, your takes, opinions, recalling your experience and more
Thank you. I’m glad you are enjoying them.
Another great review. Thank you for that and the laughs, "Wyatts 6 inches bigger, the Pike" too funny. Good advice on the squirrel brain.
Thanks! Appreciate your comments!

I appreciate your comment! Thanks!😊
Thank you for putting up the thumbnail pictures of the contestants you are talking about.
I’m glad it was helpful!
A lot of interesting characters on this season. I especially like the Native woman. She talks about Native culture and teaches us Cree words :)
Yes! She is great!

Love your description about rabbits being the nacho chips of the wilderness!😅 very insightful comments of the third episode, thanks!

That would be tough waking up your partner!
Another excellent recap. What do you suppose happened to all the fish that Peter was smoking?
Thanks. The crew may have taken some back to eat at camp, or left for the bears and martens….hopefully it did not go to waste.
@@alantenta9825 thank you for your reply. I appreciate it.
I look forward each week for your recap.

lol! Thanks Dub! Nice job out there!
Your insights at the end are so touching.

Nice recap. For some reason, alone didn’t run on history last Thursday in Canada ☹️
There was no episode due to the American holiday.
When will the next recap be posted? Thank you! I love the way you do recaps 😎
There was no episode this week due to July 4th. I will have the next recap up on Friday afternoon.
@@alantenta9825 I see! Well then looking forward for the next recap! ❤

I couldn't figure out why William would put the rabbit in a hole? What was he thinking? I lost confidence in his skills.
The edit might not be giving us all the info….I was surprised too!
I love watching Alone I wish the show was 2 hours. I live in BC too.

how does the show know how long the fish are?
Some contestants mark out their saw or axe in inches and measure the big ones.
Amos had the warmest shelter.
👍

It’s all good, Peter. Your closing words were powerful.
I would never go, because I'm chicken.
But, It's still fun making fun when a guy taps out early. 😅
👍
Jordan Jonas installed a pee hole in his shelter if I recall correctly
Right!

Were you aware William went Polar bear hunting, by himself , and shot a polar bear with a .270.?
Nope! Wow!😮
you were very likeable on the channel, and i found myself wantin to be ur buddy.....but ya made me wince every time you misused the Name of God
