Do many methods - really love the P.I. " Bamboo Fire Saw " from our Negrito Troopers JEST duty 75 - 78 . They added their " Fire Piston" which I intro into USA events - now I am amazed at the recent " Fire Roll " ! But - hmmm wondering your B & D method has the " spindle inside the bow ?" I heard on the Alone podcast that William was upset about the papoose beaver because they were only given one Beaver tag. So he can’t trap any more beaver….he hoped he’d get a 30# beaver with his tag.

Makes you think how ancient man survived anywhere on the planet,..

Anyone willing to take me on the show? lol I’m in a wheelchair so I’m not that great for hunting (unless it’s a clear area) but I’ll fish until I physically pass out lol I’d rather fish than breathe

I really enjoy your recaps and would love to hear more thoughts on shelter fire setups. Would you go back and make your fire setup differently for your season? What do you think is Timber's best bet?

This season is mega exciting! I hope Sarah drops out next episode! I hope William, Dub and Timber split the money after 120 days! I fast forward when Sarah is on the screen, that's why she has so little screen time. William is a little careless, which is annoying but he is very different from a lot of other guys - dangerous in his own way - I love it. Timber is mega dangerous - even the way he speaks to the camera is reserved - he never raises his voice - it shows how cautious he is. Dub will kill himself trying to win (or is willing to get close) - he has a (won't give up attitude). Woo HOO! Can't wait for the next episode!

I watch the show by myself and talk back to the tv throughout. So….Enjoying your recaps… you see what I see, what we all see, and say exactly what I’m thinking.

It was good to see that my two favourite contestants made it to be the last two, even better to see they now hang out like old friends.

On the official podcast, they said that each contestant only gets one beaver tag. Bummer for William.

I am loving these four but would love to see more of Sarah's foraging. They could cut together a montage of it if they think it's boring. We're interested! And Alan, I'm avoiding a comment on "Just eat the beaver!"

Gotta say, Timber and Dub are both worth rooting for, some seriously cool cats. Edit: I sat hoping Timber would have dug out his med-kit for some proper cleaning before he went for the sap....hope it doesnt bite him later.

Great recap. I loved your story about the otter encounter you had! Question: if we saw a scene where a grizzly made off with the moose ribcage, I assumed Timber left a trail cam there. But if Timber didn't know what happened, there was no trail cam. So did production just add the bear dragging the ribcage from stock footage?

Does it make sense to make tons of crayfish and small bait fish traps in spare time. A pot of bait fish is a pot of fish. Does it make sense to cut small Birch cambium strips? Roast them in a pan and grind them up into a powder to add to every cooked meal. Add small portions to not overload your digestive system to cause constipation.

Mine were peppered bacon and canned roast beef. Who knows why. Dreams where you can smell it, see it, as you raise it to your mouth you get interrupted by something silly. Powerful stuff.
