- Old Blue gets a new job! The unit came off a 1972-76 Dodge. Not exactly a perfect fit, but that's what a torch is for!!
Trying a software program called "Handbrake". Supposed to compress video files in order to allow better quality uploads on my extremely limited upload speeds. - Auta a dopravní prostředky
Better than watching the TV by far
Well.....I just learned a handy tip......use primer or paint to mark and locate bolt holes.....good job......keep the videos coming!
that sure is a cool old truck. i like that it still shines, and those old ford mirrors
It is sooo nice that the fire house crew keeps such a clean floor. I know that your washing machine and misses are ecstatic about this turn of events!
Nice job Jeff. Can't wait for part 2.......
Great video Jeff look forward to the next one where you finish it off and maybe see it working in the snow, you really are being spoilt in that nice tidy work shop take care and keep on trucking
I'm dieing for part 2!!!
Dirt diet...lol cool project Jeff, pitch perfect timing. Cool garage, *drooling* on my dirt floor*. I've used Handbrake, nice little software package. Keep them coming! Custom conversions, tweaks and alterations are very educational and always entertaining from you Jeff, i'm a RR fan!
Love it! Keep em' coming Jeff!
Thanks for the new videos Jeff!!!
I love that truck that's my favorite truck by gm can't wait to see part 2
Hardly wait for part 3 Jeff, you are going to get spoiled working in a shop like that!
hahaha.. "you're on camera!" haha.. cracked me up!
Yay! Another video to pass the time. Thanks. :D
cant wait for part two
Nice project on a sweet truck, entertaining narration too lol
I really like that truck !!!!
As Always GREAT VID!
keep up the great videos!
the music in this vedio is perfect
I know there is always a little comedy in your videos somewhere. Great job on another project.
love the 69 GMC...nice..and a plow...shit hot !!!!
I was taught to turn acetylene off first and let the oxygen blow out any flame that otherwise may travel backwards up the tip..But I have yet to here of anyone having trouble doing it the other way..So I guess it is whichever knob you want to turn first..
I am sure you will install the plow with out a hitch ! , meaning with no worries . be sure and film the final install . Thanks Jeff . Ray in Pa.
I'd be happy just to have a concrete pad instead of working in the dirt and rocks. I need to tear down my entire plow assembly and give it the once over come spring. It's been taking a beating for the past few years. I wonder if I can find a new IH sticker for it. It came from the dealer with the plow installed. Good luck on your adaptation!
by the way awesome Job and I love watching ur Videos :) its very Educational i have a 1992 Ford F150 that I wanted to install a plow so im looking for a used snowplow for my truck I live in Vermont so it snows alot here :)
Jeff, I'm hooked on your videos and it's urine fault.:)
Nice...Looking forward to part two....Is there a part two?....you can go right to part 2.5 if you need to.
That truck is way to nice to plow with, but we all have to make money some how. I haven't seen a 69 gmc truck in years.
I was always told "A before O or up you'll go" and oddly enough after 20 years it just seemed to have stuck lol
'mornin 2 ya,Jeff; Great Project.Hope all goes according 2 the plan. L O L
Never a dull moment watching your videos,Keep 'em 'comin,Brother.
Have had alot of comments on the Theft Deterant Stickers.L O L Thanks 4 Them !!
Happy Trails From The Maritimes In Canada
You're gonna get spoiled working in a garage like that : )
Loved the video cant wait for part deux, why did you wear the hood while cutting ? I noticed you had it propped up like a car sun visor most of the time. LOL
Seems you and I are the "Obtuse Observationists" on that point LOL..
Concrete floors, lights and heat? Gol damn luxury....
My dad taught me to turn the Oxygen on first then the gas or you get a big bang from all the gas in the air! then you turn off the gas first then the oxygen and get no soot!
if I had a dollar for every plow I ever mounted over the years ...... lol
Good Stuff :)
As was taught in high school welding class (does anyone teach welding in high school anymore?) turn the oxy off first then the gas. Turning the gas off first makes a nice bang but it can suck crap into the tip and plug it. No experience either or but that's what was taught.
Hey Jeff I'm a welder your are right about turning the touch on when you turn it off turn air off first then your gas
Seems like when I was taught to cut with a torch there wasn't as much noise as you seem to have. The only time that the torch got louder was when you pressed the trigger to cut. That was in the early 70s and it didn't turn out to be my career. Just thinkin.
Inquiring minds need to know, did you think out loud prior to making videos or is it an acquired trait since starting... and do you find yourself doing it off-camera?
i love that truck!! but i hate its getting turned into a plow truck
Whatcha gonna use that thar plow fur in SW Orygun - plowin pine needles and leafs?
I learned it oxygen off first then acetylene off. Opposite of start.
i run 5 & 20 with a max or 6 & 20 but that is almost never needed unless the tip is really dirty from cutting up scrap metal
hi I have a 72' gmc k20, what is your lift and tire size. I love the stance your truck has? thanks, Chas.
if you had the correct brackets--it would just bolt on. i quess you dont have em. i quess youll figure it out---take care buddy
If you turn the oxy off first, you don't get the loud POP.
Hey is there a video of you finishing this job?
Yonder are the critters
Don't get used to the concrete, it just makes things easier and who would want that?
what sort of lift do you have on there, and how many inches?
Yes. The lift will affect the angle of the brackets or arms going to the plow, affecting plow performance. The steeper the angle, the more the blade will trip.
A before O or up you go
A= acetylene
O= oxygen
light O before A and you'll ruin your day.
Beautiful old truck is it yours
Kielar Hansen You bet!
I love it im 17 and hoping to get me a simple old 71 c10 or k10 GMC would do to best looking year for trucks I believe
is that the fire dept ????
Fire marshal bill
You should watch a CZcams video on that
And don't forget, "don't ever light your torch like this..."
It would be slightly more aesthetic and more true to its age to have round lights on the plow rig
What happened to Part 6/6 ?
6:09
I'd turn the gas off first, let the oxy run for a sec to purge any excess gas.
I live in parma ohio, bolts from a 2009 won't come out as easy as those did..
I wish there was sub titles So ill know what ur saying Im deaf myself
Don't tell him he's on camera .... I want to see his smiling face .....
Why do people mount their plow to the front of the truck and then wonder why the truck's frame brakes right behind the transmission ? Why not attach the plow with a structure that reaches about 3/4 of the truck's lenght in the back, where it is designed to pull hard ?
I've never seen one break a frame. What I really want to do is hang one off the back as well. Why waste all that time backing up? Put another plow back there and make some use of the movement!
небельмеса по-русски
Oh my GOD why put a plow on that classic truck?
A plow ? Global warming have things screwed up that bad you are going to get snow in southern Oregon lol.
What global warming?
brendonusa
Global warming is when the weather gets hotter than normal, colder than normal, or more normal than normal.
acoow Global warming is a FARCE!!
Yep it is propaganda that people are making money off of.
