    I guess this is a regional thing.. in Montreal where we get a lot of snow nobody uses plows on pickup trucks for residential driveways. They all use snowblowers mounted on Agricultural tractors, makes work easier especially as the season advances the blower allow the operator to spread the snow over a large area, avoiding massive piles of snow next to the driveway, to each his own, cheers 😊

    • @bwillan
      @bwillan Před rokem +3

      The smarter ones use inverted snowblower on said agricultural tractors. Even for this driveway, pushing that 4' bank of snow from the end of the drive up onto the customers lawn isn't the best thing to do.

      most everybody in minnesota has a snow blower. alot of minneapolis people moving out to BFE just don't know anything. the guy staked his drive way and having seen that i can guarantee it's all the home owners fault who just doesn't understand. that's why you charge a home owner like that $500 per event for that drive way because every snow fall it's going to be a head ache after the first time the snow gets over knee high. they aren't worth your time except at that price point.
      my lawn deere could have handled all that in 30-35 minutes depending upon which way the wind was blowing.

    The perfect tool for that long driveway at 2:38 would have been a 6WD motor grader with a folding v-plow or one-way plow and a wing. One can dream, right. Haha! On a serious note, if its feasible it might be well worth the time to build a few snow fences out of snow on the upwind side of that driveway. I can't tell for sure from the video, but you may have already built a snow fence or you've just simply pushed the windrow back to make more room. Obviously, there's a lot I don't know and there a good chance you've though of doing such, but I thought I would voice my idea. Never know......

      he lives in the area, city water, all gas has to be attached to the house, can't be in the yard. my brother lives no far from this subdivision neighborhood. he's seen most of these houses being built when he was growing up as a kid.

      the battery is pretty good at keeping tire to ground contact. i've used a siding pallet on an electric sit down forklift with out door tires and pushed 16' at a time pretty well with it. cleared a whole yard for ABC supply. that's bigger than most peoples yards by 2X

      Small driveways isn’t what it’s designed for but it gets the job done. The plow every Tom dick and harry has the V plow wasn’t built for small driveways either
